"Damn! That stings!." I cried out as mom helped the nurse to change my bandage before bedtime. As much I didn't want to, I was sleeping over at the hospital tonight, and the night after that.

"Don't squirm so much or it'll sting much more." Mom cautioned, I internally rolled my eyes at her, fighting the urge to say something sarcastic.

"Are you hungry?." Mom asked, I nodded, I wanted some real food at this moment, something to get my energy back. Watching my best friend (I hope he is) devour those chocolates worked up my appetite.

"It's quite late, so it's not advisable to have food at this time, it might not digest easily. Just take some juice and your vitamins." The nurse said, with a flat tone.

She monitored me for a while before leaving the room to both my mom and I. I heard mom tell Makela to sleep at her home for tonight, since she would be the only one at home anyways.
