I looked outside the window of the carriage as some soldiers escorted me back to our manor. I managed a faint smile. It had been two years since I last saw my Father. Francua has not changed much since I last saw it. The trees looked the same, even the road back home. I inhaled the scent of my freedom from Beckforth. But frowned after reminding myself that I am stuck in Francua as per Jacob's letter.
I sighed. Better in Francua than in Beckforth. The northern gate leading to our manor was opened. I could hear my heart beating. The last time I heard from Father was his letter to Prince Eric and that he was still happy about our engagement. What if he still feels the same? I hope my letter to the Queen clarified all Prince Eric's intentions. But, I have yet to know because the Queen requested my presence for the next day not immediately.
Hahaha! Sandlot struck Jacob. (Sandlot has some impressive skills if he was able to do that... hmmm...)
Next, we will find out what truly happened to Labyrinth.
Thank you for all the support that you continue to give this book. Lots of love...
