Capítulo 18: Fight Between Clansman
Running around the corner of the dark alley, Damian cloaked himself in a slightly thicker layer of golden aura before grabbing the heavily bleeding strain and dodging out of the way of an incoming arrow of ice.
"What the hell…" Damian thought to himself as he stood the half-injured strain against the wall. He was able to at the man's injuries and see multiple puncture holes along his shoulder and torso.
It has only been a short time since he had seen him in the street. In that amount of time, he accumulated so many injuries.
"Hey bro, are you ok?"
"I didn't even attack him… he just found me and said he was bored… can you help me?" The man asked in response as he breathed slowly.
"I can, for now, my clansman will take you to the hospital," Damian said to the strain before motioning to the standing at the corner of the alleyway. After that, moments later two people in similar black long coats, only distinguishable by their masks, stopped beside him.
"Take him to the hospital, I will deal with the blue king and see what his problem is."
"Are you sure?" Ari asked in her higher-than-normal voice. This was because of her mask's built-in voice changer.
"I am, now go. I will meet up with you later" He sternly ordered as he turned around to face the enemy standing with a bow and arrow at the opposite wall of the alleyway with a dark blue bow in his hands.
Looking at each other, Ari and Kai quickly put the strain's arms over their shoulders and jumped up to the rooftop of the building. As they did that, they saw something flying towards them impact a golden barrier created by Damian.
"Alfred! Go deal with those two in black, they are that king's clansman I believe so go and examine how strong they are!" The man wearing a white coat and a light blue fox mask said as he knocked his bow and looked to Damian.
While another man who had appeared and bowed to him turned and jumped across a few rooftops before blocking Ari and Kai who had landed on the rooftop.

Looking at the man who had landed in front of them, Kai and Ari were a bit annoyed.
"Go Ari, I will deal with this guy," Kai whispered softly as he dropped the strain's arm from his shoulder and stepped forward.
"This is not what he said to do! We need to take this strain away from here!" Ari whispered back as she grabbed Kai's sleeve.
"It looks like this guy will be blocking our path, one of us needs to hold him off"
"Then we will do it together. There are two… or three of us."
"No, you take that strain to the hospital. He won't be much help to us with how injured he is. Focus on helping him and forget about me."
"B-But…"
"Don't think I am here alone, Remember our king is here as well. Everything will be fine so go."
Seeing Kai was not relenting, Ari simply nodded and began to move with the strain, albeit very slowly, and move across the surprisingly large rooftop.
"My apologies, I will be testing your abilities as clansman of the golden king." The man named Alfred said as he looked towards Ari and planned to move in their way while a blue aura covered his body.
"Then test mine instead and leave them alone," Kai said as he covered himself in a golden aura and dashed at Alfred.
Seeing his enemy run towards him, Alfred adopted an orthodox fighting stance and held his fists close together while moving his right leg back a bit.
Getting right up to Alfred, Kai threw a quick jab with his left hand which Alfred dodged by sidestepping to his left. This left him perpendicular to Kai who was preparing a follow-up swing.
Not wanting to let his opponent attack him with such ugly form, Alfred punched Kai in the side.
This made Kai step back and cover his side with his arm but sadly Alfred took this chance to press the attack. He was pretty experienced in martial arts and boxing since he had taught his Alex for over 10 years.
Deciding to use Kai as a punching bag, Alfred started throwing jabs at Kai. Most jabs made it through and hit Kai in his chest and torso while a few punches aimed at the face were blocked.
Seeing that his punching bag was getting accustomed to the punches, Alfred threw in a straight kick to the stomach which sent Kai flying off of the rooftop and into the wall on the opposite side of the alleyway. The force at which Kai impacted the wall made it break on impact and Kai entered the back of whatever building it was.
Damian and Alex were nowhere to be seen as Alfred hopped down from the rooftop. Their thrones were noticeable in the distance so he didn't care to think too much about it.
With nobody around and the other clansman and strain far away from the area. Alfred figured he could play with Kai for a bit.
Seeing Kai slowly stand up and dust off his coat, Alfred smiled under his mask and asked a simple question.
"Young man, are you alright?"
"Are you sure you should be worrying about me?" Kai said in response as he stepped out of the hole he had made and got into a fighting stance.
"So you want to continue? Alright then, I will accompany you since you want the other two to get far enough away."
Raising his hands again, Alfred dashed up to Kai. As he stepped close and prepared to throw a right-handed punch, Kai surprised him a bit by stepping to the left as he had done on the rooftop.
Unlike him though, Kai sent a punch towards his head and caught him a little as he used his left leg to pivot and jump back. This left Kai the chance to press the attack and throw a few punches of his own.
Dodging and blocking his opponent's attacks, Alfred sent a few of his own in any openings he had. This caused the duo to exchange over fifty attacks, both punches and kicks, in the middle of the alleyway before they both took a few steps back.
Rolling his arms for a bit, Alfred took a few breaths and decided to comment on his opponent.
"You leave yourself open for counterattack often but you also block my attacks more often than not. Have you trained in martial arts?"
"I took a few martial arts classes when I was younger but I stopped going. I was never really a fan of it" Kai said in response with slightly labored breathing.
"I see," Alfred said as he nodded and looked up at the sky. After looking back at Kai, he began to let more aura surge from his body before it began to condense into his hands.
"You are finally using a weapon?" Kai asked as he began to release more aura from his body before condensing it in his hands.
This caused Alfred to chuckle as the blue aura in his hands condensed into a sword with a blade length of about twenty-five inches. The blade was a deep blue with black taking up the bottom twenty percent of the blade.
Holding up the blade to his chest, Alfred looked at the blue vapor coming off of the sword.
Looking at the sword his enemy had created, Kai looked at his sword.
It was a black and gold katana with a blade length of about twenty-two inches. Looking for a moment at the primarily gold blade with black coloring the edges, Kai let the empty sheathe dissipate into motes of golden light before focusing his attention back on Alfred.
Just as they were about to begin their second round, someone had jumped down between them wearing a black uniform similar to Kai.
"What are you doing here? I told you to go and bring that strain to safety" Kai said as he recognized it was Ari.
"I already did that!" She replied as she turned toward Alfred and manifested her sword. "I came back to help you."
Sighing to himself, Kai quickly stepped beside Ari and they both held their swords towards the long Alfred.

Not wanting to drag the fight out against two people, Alfred began to channel power into his sword as the ground and walls near him began to freeze over.
Just as the second battle was about to start, someone dropped beside Alfred and tapped his shoulder. Turning towards the familiar voice, Alfred saw that it was his king.
"We are done here, Alfred," Alex said as he looked towards the two gold clansmen who were standing a bit away from them. Watching Damian jump down in front of them and hold his katana in their direction, Alex smiled and squeezed Alfred's shoulder a bit.
"This is enough excitement for tonight, we can't have such entertainment disappear so soon." He said as Alfred nodded and let his sword disappear into blue motes of light.
Shortly after, Alfred gave a nod to Kai before both he and Alex jumped on the rooftop and disappeared into the night.
"Are we not chasing them?" Ari asked as both she and Kai dissipated their swords.
"No, we have helped that strain already. We do not want to fight for too long or it will end badly." Damian said as he looked back at them and let his sword dissipate.
"Let's just get back to campus and get some food." He said softly as his stomach rumbled.
"Food would be nice…"
