Jiao Long looked at Pan An with a questioning gaze as he asked, "Why did you call Wang Lei?"

Pan An took a sip of his drink before answering, "I think Wang Lei should know what happened."

Jiao Long's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "What do you mean?"

Pan An set down his glass and leaned forward, "Why did you disappear, Jiao Long? Nobody heard from you for years, and now we find out that you're married to Ruo Xi?"

Jiao Long's face fell, "I had to disappear. To be honest, I didn't know what to do. We're great friends… but I love her, too."

Pan An nodded slowly, "I understand that, but why did you have to marry Ruo Xi?"

Jiao Long took a deep breath, "It was complicated, Pan An. I know that the three of us were great friends, and heck, I was even a third-wheeler… but I fell in love with her before you two were even in a relationship."

"You didn't tell me," Pan An said, letting out a sigh. "I would've understood."
