~~~(POV: Darth Marr)~~~
~~~(Location: Korriban, the Sith Dark Council)~~~
My fellow Darths of the Sith Empire bicker amongst themselves. Ravage, and Thanaton are at each other's throats. They're too different from agreeing on anything, and the topic that's being debated is who shall lead the strike on Tatooine. Personally, I think it's suicidal. Everyone who's worthy of a note knows that Tatooine is a no-go zone.
Nathan Opal is far too powerful to approach. There is only one being that might stand a chance and that's The Emperor himself, and I know he's afraid of the young rogue's power. "Ravage. Thanaton. This is fruitless. Attacking him knowing how strong he is will only lead to death and defeat." My words stop both of them for the time being.
The Emperor is doing this on purpose. He's authorized this attack, according to Darth Baras. Broke his silence over the centuries and ordered us to test Nathan Opal. "Darth Marr, if you have any suggestions on how to approach this, I'd love to hear them. Since you're such a mastermind and all." Ravage is overconfident in his power. It'll lead to his death one day.
He wouldn't know humility if it bit him in the ass, and being humbled before at the height of your power is what makes a Sith a success. "There is no reason for us to attack Tatooine. I suggest we disobey this order." There is silence in response. No one will question it cause all the council members are thinking the same thing I am.
The Emperor isn't going to come down here and force us. He's not interested in the Sith Empire anymore. "Careful, Marr. What you speak of is treason against our Master. However, I agree with you. This is a death sentence, and I, for one, am not ready to die yet." Darth Vowrawn is an intelligent man that has the tongue and words to convince anyone.
His Sith pureblood status makes him popular among his peers, and he's a force that isn't to be trifled with. "There are many more pressing matters that we have to deal with. The Republic is ramping up its production on Taris, and I think it's high time we did something about it." Darth Baras brings up another topic of discussion. One that's more important, in my opinion.
Taris has been of interest to the Republic for a long time now, and what they're doing on Taris is unknown to us. I want to change that and make it an even playing field on that front. "My spies have informed me that they're developing new chemicals that can be used for fuel and weapons. Bolstering their power in this war." Baras has the best spy network in the Empire.
He's starting to make outrageous claims. He's the one that told us that the Emperor ordered this test on Nathan Opal, claiming he's the Voice of The Emperor. The Voice of The Emperor hasn't existed for millennia. The Emperor hasn't spoken to us himself in centuries. "My forces on Belsavis are saying that more attention is needed there." Ahh, yes... Belsavis... The ancient Rakatan World.
Valuable information and technology are waiting to be found on Belsavis. "Then let's put it to a vote. The majority of our power bases are spread across the galaxy. Focusing more on a single objective will throw the Republic off guard. The question is, which world do we want more?" My idea sparks some interesting looks from the Council.
In the end, Dark Council members can do whatever they want. This vote is something that's out of the ordinary. I'm trying to make the Republic weaker and the Empire stronger in every action I take. I fear that I'm the only Sith left that cares about the Empire. "I'm afraid that isn't what the Emperor wants, Marr." Baras and his games are getting tiresome.
He's not a weakling, though. He's gained his seat on this Council from being clever and powerful. While killing him here ends fewer headaches in the future, it'll send a message to the Empire if I do. Dark Council members killing one another isn't a good sign. "Until you show us proof that you're the Emperor's voice, Baras... We're not doing anything you say." Ravage says what I'm thinking.
There is much to do, but I know what I'm doing. Belsavis is where my goals lie, and I'm going to get them. With or without the help of the Dark Council.
