Capítulo 52: Chapter 52: I Only Like Your Touch

Lin JinYan made his way to the focus rooms at the M Academy library ignoring the stares and whispers of the nearby students.

- What is the school prince doing at the library?

- Lin JinYan doesnt normally come here! So lucky!

- Kyaa! Prince JinYan is so handsome!

- Ah! Isn't Su Ning here as well? Do you think he is here for her?

- The school fairy and the school prince! They look good together.

- Hey! Why would Lin JinYan date someone like Su Ning? Isn't she a scholarship student?

- Yeah. Their status doesn't match at all!

Recently, Su Ning had been spending more time with that girl Qing Mei. Lin JinYan is relieved that Su Ning was with a female friend but he can't help but feel peeved that a new annoyance has managed to wheedle its way into Su Ning's heart. 'NingNing has always been too kind,' he thought. Recalling their recent altercation, Lin JinYan had to admit that he also took advantage of Su Ning's compassionate nature. Deliberately getting himself sick and injuring his hands was a risk he'd been willing to take if it meant earning Su Ning's forgiveness. He can't help but wonder if this Qing Mei had an ulterior motive in suddenly befriending Su Ning.

In all honesty, Lin JinYan disliked going to public places like the library, deeming it unsanitary. However if it meant spending more time with Su Ning, this much is nothing. With his gloved hand, he opened the door to the focus room and greeted his lovely Su Ning.

"JinYan-ge, you're here. This is my friend Qing Mei. She used to be my classmate at Chang Yue." (Su Ning)

"Senior Lin JinYan! Hello! I am honored to finally meet you in person! I am a big fan!" Qing Mei exclaimed excitedly.

However, Lin JinYan merely nodded at the girl before taking a seat beside Su Ning. Qing Mei's face fell after being snubbed by Lin JinYan which didn't go unnoticed by Su Ning.

"Uhm..JinYan-ge, MeiMei is working hard to raise her grades to get into XIIN Entertainment," Su Ning explained, pointing out a common interest between the two.

"Hnnn," Lin JinYan gave a soft sound of acknowledgement.

"Yes! I really want to get into your company. It's been a dream of mine! Please take care of me!" Qing Mei's face brightened at Lin JinYan's response.

"It would be great if Senior Lin JinYan can help me with my studies! I heard you always place first in your class," Qing Mei further entreated.

As if sensing Lin JinYan's reluctance, Su Ning quickly interjected, "Er… I hope you don't mind answering MeiMei's questions."

"If it's what NingNing wants," Lin JinYan aquiesed and gave Qing Mei a bland smile.

The study session passed in relative silence with Qing Mei occasionally attempting to chat up Lin JinYan. Since receiving the 'okay' from Lin JinYan, Qing Mei had been directing all of her questions towards the young man. And true to his moniker of 'gentle prince', Lin JinYan proceeded to patiently answer Qing Mei's questions.

Su Ning was secretly glad with this turn of events. Now she has more time to focus on her studies and 'sticky rice' will have a chance to make a new friend. In fact, Su Ning noticed long before that although Lin JinYan was constantly surrounded by a group of people, she couldn't tell if there was any that he was particularly close to aside from Wei Hang-ge.

On the other hand, Lin JinYan has become quite aggravated by the constant chattering of Su Ning's friend. Qing Mei had been asking the most basic questions that Lin JinYan had to wonder if she'd even graduated from primary school. When she had asked what a pythagorean theorem was for the nth time he'd nearly snapped, "Is your IQ in the double digits? How can you not understand something so simple? This was taught in the 5th grade!" Yet, he managed to quell his impending outburst by thinking of eating dinner with Su Ning after this.

Qing Mei seemed oblivious to Lin JinYan's growing ire and had actually become increasingly confident upon receiving so much attention from the latter in a short span of time. Unaware of Lin JinYan's mysophobia, Qing Mei took the initiative to touch his bare hands in an effort to grab his attention. This sudden action caused Lin JinYan to jerk his arm unconsciously knocking over Qing Mei's milk tea which ended up spilling on the latter's clothes. Meanwhile, Su Ning only realized belatedly what had happened and began to rummage through her school bag for some tissues to give to her friend.

Qing Mei abruptly stood up and saw her uniform covered in brown liquid. Embarrassed to be seen by Lin JinYan in a sorry sight, Qing Mei quickly excused herself and ran out of the focus room leaving behind Su Ning who had her hands outstretched with a pack of tissues.

"Pfft," Lin JinYan suddenly laughed. 'NingNing is too cute.'

"MeiMei...left so quickly," Su Ning muttered as she began to wipe the milky liquid off the table.

Looking pleased now that the annoyance has left the room, Lin JinYan began to clean his hands with antibacterial wipes. Su Ning took note of Lin JinYan's action and couldn't help but comment, "JinYan-ge was it uncomfortable? I thought you've grown to accept others' touch."

Lin JinYan gave a soft laugh before propping his chin on his hand. He gazed at Su Ning with a serious expression on his face, "NingNing, I only like your touch. I can't tolerate anyone else's."
