Capítulo 14: Tighten Security
"Hi, inform your parents and we'll tighten the security.. I don't feel at ease..." said Yin.
"Hmm... I also feel a change in the wind... But what are we going to do now?" asked Lu who was already preparing the security teams.
"Let's wait for them to get back. TIll then we'll focus on the residential project," said Gin.
Gin was holding on to the anger inside him. I budged to Yin and pointed at him.
"Hi.. Genghis. Don't worry too much... You know your little sister has four brothers to take care of her and safety."
As I looked away I saw Andy talking with someone. He seems to be a familiar figure, but I cannot place who he is. Maybe Andy has a good backing that she got this offer to be a coordinator.
We all got home and met with my parents and Genghis's parents.
"So, she's back?" they asked together.
"Yes, uncle. She is also the coordinator of the hotel project," said Yin.
"Did you give up?" said Uncle Zhou looking at Gin.
"Hmm.. yes.. sorry.." he said looking down. He was the one who was looking forward to this project most.
"It's ok.. better projects will come in the future. Think of this as refreshing your minds and learning to work together." said my dad.
"I cannot imagine where these will go when they start working together, no one will be able to stop them, " Uncle Wang said with a smile.
At the same time, Aunt Wang and my mother came with Little Nuo. She rushed to Gins's side and sat beside him.
"Hi... don't worry ok... I am here with you..." he talked to her softly to calm her down ad held her tight. "Mom?!"
"I don't know she has been refusing to eat or drink. Did she sense something was about to happen?" Aunt Zhou.
"Could be.. but don't mention..." Yin said pointing to LIttle Nuo.
"Nuo, would you like to have something to eat?" I asked while others we discussing. For Gin's as well as my surprise, she nodded her head. Gin had to take a call, so I took her to the dining room. I went about and made her some cheese sandwiches and a glass of orange juice. She silently went on munching while I sat next to her.
"Hi... where's mine?" asked Yin and Lu coming in.
"Make some if you want. I made this for her.." I said with a grin on my face.
"Is it tasty, Little Nuo?" asked Lu.
She said yes with a nod.
We all made some sandwiches and orange juice for everyone while discussing what we are going to do.
"YIn, Lan," said Gin coming in and sitting down near her.
"The hotel project manager called," he said.
"So?"
"They want us to take the project because they really liked the idea we proposed. And the budget is within their range as well." He looked at Yin.
"Hmm... What about we only design and they get someone to do it," said Yin.
"But then how can be sure of the craftsmanship?" I asked.
"We have to let them do it, or forget the whole project.." said Yin.
"Or do the whole thing... despite Andy.." said Lu.
"My opinion is we'll just give it up. Why do we need to bother and feel the pain of seeing her every time? Your father said it right, we'll get more opportunities n the future." said Chen.
We went on munching on the sandwiches and talking while Little Nuo watched us. Suddenly she tapped on Gin.
"What is it Nuo?" She pointed to the plan that Yin had bought in.
"Do you want this?" She nodded and Gin gave her the drawings. She looked at them and looked at GIn and Yin.
Next, we saw was her scribbling something.
"Do you mean to sell the design?" asked Gin, who understand her better.
She nodded yes.
I looked around and saw GIn and Yin looking at each other and Lu was scratching his head. Gin gave a kiss on her forehead of hers and looked at us. This little girl even though still not fit is in her right mind.
"Nuo, do you like to go and see this place?" suddenly asked Yin.
She held Genghis's hand tightly and look at her brother eye to eye.
"OK we'll go but we will need to prepare, because of you know.." said Gin to our surprise.
"I will call the manager," I said. And I came to a place where she couldn't here.
"Hi, Can I speak to your manager please, Yes let him know it's Lan from the meeting today,"
"Thank you, miss."
"Hello, Manager,"
"Good to hear from you, hope you are willing to accept the project," he said.
"Hmm.. we are still discussing it, but I called now is for another matter, hoping you could corporate,"
"Please, this will be my pleasure,"
"Genghis, sister wanted to see the place after seeing the drawings."
"You mean the sister you all talked about today?"
"Yes. But her visit must be quiet and without any contact with Andy."
"May I know why?"
"Because Andy might trigger her to the worse situation- mostly unconscious for a few days."
"Oh my... I will be glad to arrange the place for the visit without any disturbances."
"Thank you, manager."
"When will you be coming, Mr.Lan?"
"We plan to come in the evening tomorrow, maybe at around 6."
"AH... ok. I will get things ready. Is there anything special to be prepared for Mr.Genghis's sister?"
"Hmmm, not really. Remember to have some cupcakes with a few cute designs."
"Ok, Mr. Lin. I will accept you will be here at six tomorrow."
"Ok, it's arranged and confirmed."
"Guys tomorrow at six we'll go there," I said to the others.
Little Nuo clapped her hand to show she was happy. We all were feeling a bit of an accomplishment when she did it. Seems she's blending with us while recovering well.
