"Phew, gotta hurry back home. I need to get there before lunchtime. Can't be late for my stream!" I mumbled as I made my way out of the shop.
"...Oh?" I said as I took a quick glance to my left to see if a taxi was coming, before seeing something that actually got my attention.
"...Oh man, those sneakers look hella nice." I said as I ran to the window of the shop and saw some Puma shoes.
"...Fuck, I'll buy that real quick and I'll go back home." I said.
And so, I got inside the shop.
"Hoowee, can't wait to get these babies into my shoe collection-Oh, sorry." I said as I almost bumped into a man.
"Woah! It's okay, it's okay.-"
We both blinked twice as we looked at each other.
"Err...Shien?" I blinked again.
"Shiro...? What're you doing here?" He asked.
"I should be asking that too. I was originally buying an SD card for my Switch, but these Pumas caught my attention."
"Well...you see…" He said while scratching his head.
"I was just browsing some shoes and hopefully able to buy them soon when I get enough money on the side." He giggled nervously.
I looked around the shop, then looked back at Shien with a smile.
"Want to buy one? I'll take care of it."
"E-Eh?! I can't do that!"
"Ah, whatever. You've made your effort in coming here! How about being a bit spoiled and getting something you like, huh?" I elbowed him a bit.
"B-But...I can't just be selfish just for shoes…"
"Ah, you know...it don't matter what you wear on top and for your legs, as long as you have one of the best quality shoes in the world. Think of it like charity." I said.
"Hmm...well, if I'm gonna accept it, then I should repay you the favor at least!"
"Heh, that's fine by me."
And so, we picked a pair he liked. He really thought about it deeply since there were so many shoes, and he picked one item. The Rick Owens. The DRKSHDW black and white one.
"Man...! It feels so good to get one of these shoes...!" Shien held his fist up while sobbing in happiness as we walked towards the school from the bridge.
"Glad to know you like it. I like getting these pumas since I can feel they can be used in any occasion, even in formal situations like meeting in Hololive."
"Man, having that much money in your bank account really helps, huh? Repaying 60,000 yen isn't a joke...!"
"Now that I think about it, you could've afford it, right?"
"Yeah...but if I used it up, my living expenses are gonna have to be cut until next month or so. Otherwise I would've just lived off of rice-only meals...!"
"Eh? Is that an exaggeration?" I sweat dropped.
"It is, but it goes to show how much it'd affect me if I did it in my current situation."
"Hmm...now that it's mentioned...hey, Shien."
"Hmm?"
"Why are most of you struggling with money?"
"Eh? You don't know yet?"
"I mean...you're monetized in every stream, right? You have loads of videos, superchats, and whatnot. Plus, even if we count in taxes, your covers, daily living expenses, and even your cut in Cover, why the hell're you guys still struggling with it?"
Shien frowned after I asked that question and looked away while stopping for now.
"Well...let's just say it's more than just those." He said.
"Oh?"
"You see, do you know how much is actually cut from our salary?"
"Hmm...give me a fixed amount and I'll estimate how much will be left with all the cuts."
"I'll give you 2 million yen."
"Then...about 1 million?"
"Hmm...less than that."
"The fuck...?! How much then?!"
"I'd say a rough 100 thousand to a 500 thousand...?" He scratched his cheek while closing his eyes.
"Eh…? Who's the culprit?" I asked.
"Tax and the company and Youtube cut. If you do covers and whatever, that'll cost even more. And if you collabs, the split is strict. That's why you're actually really lucky. I'm surprised you have that much money, and even more so that you have an album already."
"Well, I do know it's expensive to make original songs, but I only paid for the art and mixed, mastered, and created the songs myself."
"Eh?! No wonder you're better off!" He said.
"Yeah…but damn, how the hell...?" I put my hand on my chin.
"Just don't worry about it...if your income still hasn't boomed yet, it'll boom soon enough, and you'll start getting BIG deductions."
"Eh...? Then, how much would you have earned?"
"About a hundred thousand or so. Say, are you planning in collabing with others soon?"
"Sure am." I chuckled.
"Matter of fact, I just made a collab song with Aki-senpai, and it'll be released on April 6 at nighttime."
"Eh?! How much did you pay?!"
"Ah, no. It was her who paid. She gave a good 600 thousand.-" I instantly got grabbed by the shoulder as I heard something drop to the floor, which was the box of his newly bought shoes.
"ARE YOU JOKING?! THAT'S ENOUGH TO BUY LIKE 10 HIGH-END PCS!"
"E-Eh? But 600 thousand is not a bad pay."
"Man...I'm not even surprised anymore." He sighed as he got his box.
"I wish I had that luxury." He said as he pouted.
"Ah, don't. Matter of fact…"
'Aki looked rather bittersweet. She was happy for the collab, but it had a hint of sadness...are they really hanging on by a damn thread in terms of finances? Jesus…'
"Matter of fact what?" He asked.
"Ah nothing. But still...to think it took that much...well, I guess it's fair enough. You know how much you really need to buy a chain that costs 4 million yen when you're a rapper?"
"How much?"
"You're gonna need at least 20 million."
"Eh?! That's too much!"
"Well, if you think about retirement money, there's none so...well, at least I'm better off since I get my retirement money from being a soldier."
"Man...all this talk about money is making me depressed." He said, slouching with his arms hanging.
"At least you got those shoes, man." I giggled as I patted his back.
"...Fair point." He sniffed.
And so, I went back, and finally got into my room. I setted up my Switch, played Smash for a quick bit, and then cooked a fast meal for lunch before finally getting my Duolingo stream on.
Of course, the announcement of my manager has been posted and I did a little trolling on Twitter.
"(retweet of the announcement)
OH MY GOD, I'M GRADUATINDSAUHFIUAWEHRIWRFHEWYIFBWUYVEDB-
Oh wait, that's just my new manager. Move along, people lol."
And like any sort of reaction, this is what happened:
"...This motherfucker-"
"LMAOOO, THIS GUY TROLL AF"
"ngl, I got a mini heart attack when I saw your name in the original tweet LOL"
"SHIRO, ISTG, YOU GIVING FREE HEART ATTACKS TO PEOPLE"
"Jokes on you, I'm a Japanese!"
But anyway...moving along to my stream.
"Shiro on the mic, Shiro on the beat, Shiro with the heat, everybody, thanks for coming to my stream! Yeah, and you know I got the heat, bro. What's my name? Ishijin Shiro!" I clapped.
"Today, Duolingo's holding me captive, and unless I speedrun and finish the whole course of Japanese, I can't be released. And note by the way this is a new account. Yes, I used Duolingo before for the sole purpose of just seeing how good this app really is for new learners. This account though is just gonna be for this stream's sole purpose." I laughed and clapped.
"Anyway...Japanese...I learn Japanese for culture, cause why not? Hentai is the best thing to exist in Japan culture, man...and intense. Even though what's reeeally intense is 1 hour per day, not a puny 20 minute per day." I snickered.
"For real, I know some people don't learn as fast as others...but 20 minutes is just too fucking short man, especially how it's 'once per day' and not like...three times a day." I laughed.
"And...I'll pick 'Already know some Japanese?', cause I'm a Japanese! Yes, I'm not an American, okay? I'm not Holostars EN, I'm a damn Japanese, ya fucks!" I said in a British accent before reverting back to my American-like accent.
"'Wear'...that's 'Kiru' in Japanese...oh, and by the way, I love how the voice is semi-robotic, but you can still hear it being hella monotone." I laughed.
"By the way, as much as the pronunciation is sort of good, 'cause it's almost like real people now...I still think you gotta take input from real natives, 'cause this is not only limited...some of these sentences can't actually be used in real life. Plus the pronunciation is hella choppy." I giggled.
And so I kept doing the test. Since this is the start, the questions were really easy.
"'Suiyoubi to Kinyoubi ni ryuugakusei ga kimashita (Exchange students came on Wednesday and Friday)'...Okay, so quick Shiro Japanese lesson 101 for you folks. 'Ryuugakusei' means 'exchange student', but it can also 'foreign student'...ah, fuck it, I'll choose the word 'exchange'."
"...FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS?! EXCUSE ME?! THAT'S THE SAME FUCKING THING!" I laughed and slammed my desk three times.
"Jesus Christ, well at least it passes...next one."
"...Oh, this is interesting. Okay, so for those of you who don't know, or are learning but don't know yet, 'ga' and 'nga' are the same. I don't know why, but Japanese people don't give a shit if you pronounce the 'ga' particle nasally. I personally am okay with it, but I know some foreign friends before that were confused as shit when they heard this while learning. Though, if you hear 'nga' in Japanese, do know it refers to the particle 'ga'."
And so, I finished the whole test and took a big sigh.
"Alright...oh wow, I got 1 lingot...!...Useless." I laughed and clapped.
"Oh god, I'm being a big ass to Duolingo right now, I'm sorry...and a 1 day streak that will soon be off the face of the earth when I'm done with this stream...I UNLOCKED 40% OF THE FUCKING COURSE?! JESUS, THEY REALLY EXPANDED THE COURSE OVER TIME!" I let out a little chuckle.
"Oh man...this is really expansive. Still might not recommend it as you go to the bottom of the chain since some of it is not only repetitive, but you don't really learn much aside from known vocabulary and simple grammar...well, anyway, scroll down to the most bottom...ooh, can I take the test? Oh, I can take it. WELL, LET'S GO!" I said as I clapped once.
And so, I did the test, and it took me a bit while to finish the test, but I finished it...at the expense of moments like this:
"'A France Revolution has happened…' (Furansu de kakumei ga okotta)" I typed.
"...OH, IT'S 'A revolution broke out in France'?! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO?! OF COURSE DUOLINGO WOULD FUCK ME OVER FOR THAT! GODDAMMIT!" I shouted as I got out of my chair, took my headphones off and held my head.
"...This is what I mean, guys. Duolingo is sometimes too specific. It's fucking stupid. Urgh...next question." I chuckled while shaking my head.
"I swear I'm a damn Japanese, okay?!" I let out a small laugh.
"Literally, the sentence translates to 'a France Revolution has awoken' or anything along those lines. Why the fuck is the 'correct' sentence, 'A revolution broke out in France'? You know how many verbs can fit in that fucking sentence?! Goddammit!" I slammed the desk.
"...I'm not angry, I'm just raging." I snickered.
"But for real, that makes no fucking sense. You can literally put 'Aru (to exist)', 'okoru (to happen), and many others...and it'd mean the same fucking thing. Albeit the nuance will change, the meaning doesn't...SERIOUSLY!'" I said as I continued the test.
"...Or maybe I'm just too salty." I laughed really hard and leaned back on my chair.
And so, after that, I really finished and got my trophy.
"...We did it." I clapped slowly.
"WE DID IT! AS AN ASIAN, I'M DISAPPOINTED I EVEN FAILED THAT ONCE, BUT WE DID IT! TAKE THAT, YOU GREEN BIRD! I AIN'T GONNA DO YOUR SPANISH LESSONS!"
"Hah...how long did the stream take...? Jeez, 15 minutes? That was quick...well, it is a 'speedrun' after all...but damn, that was shorter than I expected." I chuckled.
"So...I guess that does it for the stream…"
I looked at the chat.
"'salty Shiro lmao' YES, I'M FUCKING SALTY!" I laughed a bit.
"Like...I can't get over that 'France revolution' sentence, for real…'okoru' literally means 'to awaken' or 'to happen', depending on the context, and in that context, either can apply...SO WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO SAY 'broke out'?! NOT EVERYTHING HAS GOT TO BE THAT OFF IN TRANSLATION UNLESS YOU'RE A TRANSLATOR! THIS IS A LANGUAGE LEARNING APP, DANGIT!"
"Hugh...thank you guys for coming with me along this rage-inducing journey though. With that done, I'mma end the stream. See ya guys tomorrow!"
"Shiro on the mic, Shiro on the beat, Shiro with the heat, everybody, thanks for coming to my stream! Yeah, and you know I got the big dreams. Privates, I'mma see you all in the next stream!" I played my outro, and just when the stream was really gonna stop, I said this in the end:
"...I got my Nintendo Switch today...expect a guerilla stream tomorrow…"
I breathed out and giggled.
"Man...I wonder if that's gonna stick with me until the end of time." I laughed and put my hand near my mouth.
"Hmm...well, let's go to Discord and see what's up."
"...Oh? Ah fuck, I forgot! Towa is about to release a new song today! Wait, not to mention..." I said as I went to my subscriptions.
"...Yup. I expected much. Luna and Sora are having a sub special stream right now...To think though Sora would reach 800k subs and Luna with 500k is phenomenal...that's hella amazing." I chuckled and crossed my arms.
"Welp, I'll congratulate them at nighttime. For now...maybe I'll just continue in Discord." I said.
And so, I was just lurking in the servers, seeing what's up and what the Hololivers are doing.
"...Oh? A DM from Miko…"
Miko: Shiro-kun? Can I come to your room real quick?
Shiro: Oh, sure. Come if you need to. What's up?
Miko: It's personal…
Shiro: Okay...?
And so, I just waited. I went to Jstris for a quick bit and did a 40 line sprint until Miko came, and when she knocked on my door...
"Oh? Miko! Wait a bit…" I grabbed my mask off of the wall, and just when I opened the door, I instantly felt her arms wrapped around me, and some soft things against my stomach.
"E-Eh?-" I gasped as she closed the door behind her and kept hugging me.
"H-Help me…"
I widened my eyes and hugged her back in instinct.
"...What's wrong? You can tell me."
"...D-Do you remember about me and Pekora's relationship?"
"...Yes. You two were girlfriends."
"...We fought."
"I...I see…"
"And I was the one who started it."
I widened my eyes and looked at her eyes as she stared at me.
"W-What? That's a bit strange coming from you..."
"I-I don't know what I'm feeling...I want to talk to you about it since you might know a thing or two…"
"...Okay, let's both sit down on my bed and talk about it."
We both sat down, and I put my hand behind her on the bed.
"So...how did it start?" I asked.
"Well...first off, she proposed first and we became girlfriends...straight-forward, right?"
I nodded. "I'm listening."
"Then um...you see...P-Please don't punch me or anything…" She said as she held her hands and scratched her fingers.
"...I won't." I clenched my fists.
"You see...I...the moment we became that, a part of my mind...fell for you." She said as she held her short and clenched her fists.
"...Sigh, it's those moments, huh?"
"Yeah...can I continue?"
"Sure. Tell me everything."
"So...that happened, and me and her hung out for a while...that was until one time...I was dreaming something while I was napping."
"Oh?"
"I...I fantasized about me and you doing...you know…'things' together."
I groaned a bit internally, but it was the type of groan that wasn't out of hate, but out of pity.
"...But I dismissed it. I let my heart be with Pekora, since not only is it cheating, but we've only met...but as time went on, until today, it got too strong...and I hate it...I hate myself…" She said as she started shivering while tears fell on top of her hand.
"...I love Pekora, and yet...I betrayed her...I don't know how to let her forgive me…" She said as she went back to hugging me. She clung to my arm and put her face against my shoulder.
"Shiro-kun...what do I do?" She asked.
I put my hand on her head and patted the little shrine maiden.
"In these moments...emotions are at a high level. Unless you two are really understanding or can easily switch to being happy, you two need some time off."
"So...I'll maybe approach her soon...?"
"Mhmm. I had a couple fights with some girls before. Usually you just gotta give some space and then approach them soon. When it comes to a man though, you gotta wait until the girl is good. I'd know from experience." I looked away and sweat dropped.
"Sounds like you've had your fair share of girlfriends, huh...?"
"Huh? No, most of them were crushes of mine."
"You fought with your crushes...?"
I shrugged.
"I was a huge fuckboy in the past. Although I'd be loyal to a girlfriend, once I break up, I'd immediately hunt for another girl. I'm not a fuckboy anymore though."
"I see…that's interesting. I always thought you might've been one." She giggled despite the tears.
"Really? Why? Do I look like one?"
"Sort of. The way you act, your face, and the way you speak...I can sort of imagine it."
"Heh. Well, it's hard to break old habits." I said.
"But you get it, you and Pekora may need space. If it feels right, and you two had enough time being angry, you can confront each other and apologize."
"Yeah...but what about you? I keep thinking about you recently, but I don't know how to stop it…" She said.
"Well...this can happen sometimes. You know, relationships can sometimes have one or both partners think of another person outside of their significant other, but when it goes too extreme, that's when you need to give 'the talk'...Well, at least you're not currently asking me for sex, so that's good..."
"But...I feel guilty...It doesn't feel right."
"I know...so that's why I want to ask you right now."
"E-Eh?"
"Miko, do you love me?"
She widened her eyes.
"E-E-E-Eh?"
"Do you wanna get married and have kids together...? Do you truly want to sleep beside me and hold me close...? Or will you stay true to Pekora and have those plans with her instead?"
"...No...I don't want to. I've had too many memories with her to let go..."
"Heh...then you're good. Don't worry too much about letting yourself off while thinking about me. It'll even go away soon. As long as you're not actually willing to surrender and jump on me, you're good. For real."
"I see...Thank you for listening to me, by the way." She said while smiling.
"Mhmm…"
"Say...do you consider me as a friend?" Miko asked.
"Oh? What brought that up?"
"'Cause...I expected you to keep some distance between us...but you're being rather friendly."
I clenched my fists as I looked down.
"...Yeah, we're friends." I smiled.
That, however, was a half-truth. I mainly do this because I love helping people and seeing them smile in the end.
It's not like I'm a stranger to her, now that we know each other, and I can't just call myself her acquaintance since we've already exchanged some secrets, and how I've helped her with her depression, at least as much as I could, but...I can't say we're that close enough that I can confidently call her my friend. It sort of makes me feel guilty inside after knowing I half-lied there.
"I see...thank you!" She smiled widely while I chuckled.
"Yeah...oh?" I blurted as I heard a knock on the door.
"Coming!" I said as I opened a door.
When I opened it though, it immediately slammed wide open and a certain girl came busting through.
"Woah! Pekora! What's up?" I said.
"...M-Miko-senpai?" Pekora said.
"Yeah?" Miko said as she stood beside me.
"...So you really do like Shiro-kun...!" She said as she clenched her fists.
"N-No! You got it wrong! I just wanted somebody to vent out to!"
"Why him of all people?!"
"He knows about relationships, plus I've already found him comfortable to vent out to!"
"How about the Hololive girls?!"
"I could, but I felt like Shiro-kun would be the best to vent to! He's a good listener, you know?!"
"Oh, so you'd vent out to the guy that you've been touching yourself to?!"
"Hey, Pekora, you and Miko should prolly hit the hay right now. Talking to each other in this state is not ideal-" I got cut off.
"Shut up, you fuckboy!" Pekora shouted at me before attempting to run away.
I widened my eyes and grabbed her wrist. By instinct of anger, I grabbed her shirt's collar and put my forehead against hers as I looked her in the eyes.
"H-Hey, Shiro-kun!" Miko said.
"Say that again to my face, bitch. I fucking dare you." ...is what I would've said, but I gave myself some time to think despite the anger and I then said something else, not only calmer, but a proper answer.
"...I told you, just stop and give yourselves some space." I said before letting go in the next few seconds.
She looked at with a look that a child gives when some bad men would try to beat her up. She gave me those puppy-like eyes, asking for mercy. It made me soften my fists.
"I-I'm sorry for what I just did...but Pekora, please. Just let you and Miko have some space. I know you came here for Miko, but if you're still gonna be angry like that, then there's no point since another fight will happen right after you forgive each other...tell me, you were eavesdropping earlier, weren't you?"
"...Yeah."
"Why? Were you searching for Miko? If so, why?"
"...I wanted to apologize for not being understanding enough." Pekora said while looking away.
"Then do it privately, but most importantly, on the right occasion. Now would be a good time. Then again, I ain't forcing you."
"I-It was my fault, Pekora! I should've disciplined myself better!" Miko said.
"B-But...! I guess you can't help it since stuff like this can happen sometimes! You know, somebody else catching our attention!" Pekora said.
"Still, I should've talked about it with you sooner!"
"Then what can you do about it?! You can't rewind time-"
"I told you two to just lay it off for now!!!" I shouted.
They both snapped their necks at me with the same look that Pekora gave me earlier.
"...Sigh, look, what's very important in a relationship is communication, but that won't work out properly if the conditions are not met, and what's needed in communication is a clear and positive mind. You two have clouded judgment from being too angry or sad. Just stop, rest, and talk to each other privately another time. Besides...you're sort of being loud here. It might bother the rest from their streams."
"...We're sorry." They both said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Apology accepted. Now go...take care, you two, and go back to your rooms." I said.
"S-Sorry for bothering you, Shiro-kun…" Miko said.
"Me too...I caused a ruckus here." Pekora played with her fingers.
"I'm okay with it, but all I need right now is you two having a good relationship, so relax, and make up when you're ready. Easy." I patted their shoulders and led them out my room.
"...Okay." They replied.
I saw both of them walking back upstairs, and I sighed as I closed my room's door.
"Goddammit, I don't mind helping, but that talk exhausted me for some reason…"
'I almost feel like a big brother helping his younger siblings.' I deadpanned at the floor.
"Man, now I don't feel any motivation to make music right now...oh? Discord again?"
The profile picture was Calli's.
Calli: Hey, Shiro. I've been working on a song recently. I'm about to release it on my birthday. I was thinking...wanna hop on the song for a feature? I'll pay you, of course, and I'll take care of all the yaba daba doo for the song. I just want you to hop on and make a verse on this song. Mind coming to my room?
Calli: Of course, I'm free anytime. Maybe not for dinner since I'll be cooking, but I'm down if you're down. I've already got your art commissioned from an artist and I'm already preparing the MV for the song.
Shiro: Honestly, I'm down for it.
Calli: Woah. You replied earlier than I expected. Wanna come to my room? My room is on the 5th floor, in case you didn't know.
Shiro: I'm bored as shit. Hit me fam.
And so, in an instant, I went up to her room from the stairs, and then I looked for that one icon on her door that looked like a big boob-I mean, elegant pinkette reaper.
I knocked on it, and she opened it.
"Yo." I said.
"Ah, Shiro! Nice to meet you! Come in, come in!" She said.
"Yeah, yeah." I chuckled as I got rid of my shoes and went in with my socks. She was wearing a "Devil_Circus" shirt.
"Ay, one of your own shirts, ey?" I said.
"Ah, yeah! You got one of these?"
"No...but I do remember hearing you before in Soundcloud and Youtube. Didn't realize you were Calliope Mori until you debuted, then I remembered back to Devil_Circus."
"Haha! Well...I'm a bit inactive with the other, but I do my best in touring and whatnot."
"Mhmm. At least I don't gotta worry for myself since I left my past persona already. Though, I'm pretty sure people know who I am now, considering how the community works." Me and Calli snickered when I said that.
Not to mention, I actually got recommended a video where a person talked about how "Ishijin Shiro and White T are the same person". I don't really care that much as long as I don't explicitly state it publicly.
"Anyway...what'd you cook up for dinner, boy? Hit me with that beef."
"You sound very American and Gen Z like. It's almost as if you don't talk like a Japanese at all." She giggled as she put her hand on the mouse.
"Well, I watch a lot of English content, so I got my speaking habits and whatnot from there. Plus I used to copy Eminem's accent, so this shit is forever until I die." I chuckled.
"Mhmm...here it is! A sample!"
"Oh, mind if I listen to the whole song?"
"Ah, sure! Though, do you need lyrics?"
"Definitely. Mind if I wear these?" I asked as I grabbed her headphones.
"Sure!"
And so, I put it on and then got the notepad on her computer as I was ready to play the music in the background.
"By the way...mind if I get the beat in a bit and also your lyrics? I wanna be able to see if I can connect something to your lyrics as well as just the beat because otherwise I can't make any lyrics." I chuckled.
"Yeah. Fine by me. Oh, and I should tell you the theme of the song. The theme is about a crimson red rose that, instead of withering, it'll be forever immortalized, at the cost of having thorns, which represent long-term suffering. That rose is me, an artist. Essentially, try to make lyrics that connect to wanting to be ingrained in history and immortalize yourself, you know? The title of the song is 'Red'. Maybe even mention something about colors...?"
"Heh. One of those songs, ey? I guess this'll be hard, depends on the lyrics you made here...anyway…" I said as I played it and I looked at the lyrics.
I kept stopping and smiling after a few lines, thinking of Calli's lyricism in this song. She even pointed out that the 'card' part of her lyrics refers to some tarot cards that she commissioned an artist to draw that include Holomyth inside it.
I got to the end of the song, but I was still taking in everything, still needing to process the meaning behind it, before I actually get to rapping. I didn't wanna fuck up the song.
"Yo, Calls...your song?"
"Y-Yeah?"
"...It's fucking phenomenal…" I clapped slowly as she slowly laughed and I chuckled.
"Like literally...I cannot explain how good you did this...these're world-class lyrics right here...for real…"
"Aww, nah. I bet you can make better lyrics."
"No, no. Don't get impostor syndrome or anything. I want you to know...I'm ready to brag to the whole world how good you are."
"No no no! Don't! You're gonna embarrass me!" She said and we both laughed.
"But for real...I can tell how much effort you put into these lyrics. It's absolutely good. Nothing is filler, everything talks the point, and the poetry...the poetry is what makes it good. This line referencing Ouroboros? That hits hard! HARD!"
"Well...thank you...by the way, 'Calls'?" She asked.
"Oh, sorry. Just thought a nickname sounds cool for you. I mean...it sounds cool, don't ya think? 'Calls' (pron. Kalls)...sounds great." I said.
"Well...I guess I'll take it." She giggled.
"Hmm...yo, you have a USB for an android? I wanna pass the instrumental and your lyrics in my phone. I need to think for a good while. Plus I wanna make sure that I make quality lyrics that match this level of lyricism."
"Nah, I'm sure of it. Your remix of my song was already so good! I'm sure that whatever verse you'll make, it'll be perfect!"
"Mhmm. I'll live up to your expectations, Calls." I chuckled.
And those are the 3 chapters in one day, squarey bois! (Don't worry, I wasn't pushing myself, fr)
Hopefully you all enjoyed it! Expect Calli and Shiro too to have a fruitful relationship! (Cause damn, the first few minutes, and Shiro is already giving Calls a sweet nickname :D. It's also lowkey sweet)
That'll be all from Cube QB~ Hopefully the next few chapters will be great!
