Time seemed to be at a standstill as their gazes clashed. Lahan's orbs watered as did Samira's. There were a lot of words they wished to say.
So many emotions they wanted to convey. Yet, those words weight heavily on their mind and stayed stuck in their throats.
Malik and Samir sat on either side of the bed. Each closer to their sibling. The older prince's body was shaking from anxiety and excitement. He was uncertain about their reunion.
Recalling how resentful Lahan's gaze had been when he first walked inside, his heart shook.
He was conflicted on what to do. Should he rush to his brother and give him an embrace? Would Lahan feel more comfortable with him out of the way?
He looked away new worries clouding his judgement. Samir was no different. He was itching to hold his sister. Her timely awakening was like a miracle he had been silently praying for.
