Waking up to the sound of nature was new to the King. Back at the palace, he was always woken up by Talia's needy voice.

Yet today, the bed was more comfortable. The environment and even the scent in the air was rich with flavor.

He could feel a soft smaller frame tucked protectively in his chest. Lahan knew before opening his eyes who the person was. 

His kitten. As the memories of the previous night flooded his mind, his heart was filled with warmth.

Unlike other days when he woke up in resentment, even his emotions were affected by her. 

Such a sweet feeling, it was almost unreal. He wasn't a dream alright. Unlike most who would dream of relief after adversities, he never dreamt about things.

He was the kind of person who lived in the here and now. Lahan never wandered about the future unless he was thinking of revenge.

However, for the first time, he thought about a future with the woman in his arms.
