Capítulo 15: Chapter 5 - Why don't you help me take it off? (3)

The warmth of his touch curled my fingers against the hard muscles of his chest. He stood so close that I caught the scent of cologne on his heated skin. "What is what?"

"How would you describe me, temptress?" He stared down at me through his hooded eyes. It was hard for me to break the eye contact and look the other way.

"I'm not a temptress. Stop calling me that." I tried to pull my hand back but his grasp tightened. "The first word that came to mind was probably ass."

"Oh, really?" He raised one brow as if to challenge me.

I cleared my throat to cover my nerves. "We can put 'hole' next if you want."

He smirked. "Why?"

"Well, you put your hands where they don't belong, kinda like what you're doing right now." Although why he would make me nervous, I had no clue. Maybe it was his height. Yet tall guys had never made me nervous in the past.

"What if they were meant to be there?" He looked at me with that intense stare, his dark grey eyes sparkled and I swore I saw mischievous glint and something hot flashed in those fiery steel. The air was getting thicker and it was getting harder for me to breathe.

Tyler. Just before I lost my mind, his face popped into my head. Tyler was probably behind this door, waiting for me to come home. He was probably pacing and about, worrying where I was.

I ripped my hand from his grasp. "You're wasting your time with me. I'm taken. You'd be wise to remember that." I unlocked the door, stepped inside, and locked it behind me.

This was dangerous. He was dangerous. I had to get away from him no matter what. If I wanted to save my relationship with Tyler, I had to keep him at bay.

I removed my sneakers and put it on the shoe rack by the door. "Ty?" I walked further inside. The IKEA was discarded on the floor, it seemed that he has given up. "Tyler?" I put the keys on the table along with my wallet then headed to the bedroom. I swung the door open, expecting him to be sleeping on the bed but he was nowhere to be found. The bed was untouched.

I ran to the charger port and plugged my phone. Waiting for it to turn back on was agony. Where is Tyler? I hoped he would leave a message. Once my phone was on, I went through my messages and voicemails. There was none from him. I dialed his number and it went straight to the voicemail.

"Hi, this is Tyler. I'm not available right now. Leave a message at the beep, eh?"

"Tyler! Where the hell are you? I'm home and you're not here. Call me as soon as you can or else I'm calling the cops."

I sat cross-legged on the couch, watching the door and hoping it would swing open anytime soon. My phone was in my hand, plugged into a power bank, as I waited for him to call me back. I was wide awake. Gone was the sleepiness earlier and at the same time, my headache was getting worse.

It was around six A.M. when the door finally swung open and he went inside. Wet from the top of his head to the tip of his toe. Water dripped down his forehead and stuck his eyelashes together. I jumped off the couch, knocking my phone to the ground, and ran to him. "Where were you?" I threw my arms around him and hugged him.

"I'm wet. You'll get wet too." He pushed me slightly and looked down at me. Droplets ran down his cheeks as his gaze lowered from my eyes to my mouth.

I should feel cold because my shirt was now wet, yet I felt a warm tingling all over my skin. I lifted my face and once our eyes met. "Where were you?" I asked again.

"I was on my way to pick you up when I received your message telling me you're on your way home." He took off his shoes and we walked to the bedroom.

I went to the drawer and pulled out a big towel. I tossed it to him and he caught with one hand. He reached down his back, grabbed a fistful of his shirt, and pulled it over his head. The bottom of his drenched shirt lifted from the waistband of a pair of worn Levi's resting low on his hips. I've watched him undress multiple time in my life but I always caught my breath as if it was the first time. My eyes went to his happy trail circling his navel, then climbed up the ridges of his abdomen. He dropped the sweatshirt on the floor and wiped his face with the dry towel.

He shook his head like a dog, sending droplets everywhere and I giggled. "Use the towel, geez." I moved in front of him. I took the towel from his hand and used it to dry his hair.

Our eyes met and I paused. He reached for the minion in front and said, "Your shirt's wet." I dragged my gaze from him and glanced down at the two minions on my shirt, clinging to my chilled skin. "You should probably go ahead and take it off before you catch a cold."

I tilted my head to one side and glanced back up, past his square chin and straight nose, and into his dark hazel eyes. "Why don't you help me take it off?"

He smiled like a kid who went to the toy store and his mother told him he could buy anything he wanted. His eyes lit up and so did mine.
