*Yawn*
Magnus woke up in his room, for sure, Emma was with him too. They didn't do the adult stuff every day, on some nights they just cuddled and slept.
"Ah, it's cloudy outside today. I need to take the duelling classes today, Emma, you also need to focus on duelling. The King of the United Kingdom can't have a weak wife." He said.
She rolled over the bed and got up, "I have asked Ragnar to make me magic bombs to drop from brooms. I am also working on an amazing new thing. A broom that I can control with my mind. Now, bear with me, what if I can make the brooms charmed and enchanted to teeth while they look like sharp arrows? Even better, they are as small as an arm. Thin and faster than one can see."
Magnus only took 5 seconds to realise the great deadlines of this weapon, "Damn, it will be like your own bullet that you can control from your mind."
"Yes, but you will need to help me with the charms." She requested.
He kissed her lips and headed out of the room, "Anything for your highness."
"WAIT! Help me get to my room first." She shouted. She couldn't really walk to her room now.
...
*WOOSH*"
Magnus sent out a small weak spell and all five of his opponents fell down. "Note, never ever think you can overpower your enemy just because you have the numbers. Always consider yourself just a bunch of hyenas fighting against a lion. Hyenas fight and hunt in packs, even a lion can be defeated or outsmarted by them.
"You fought me like a pack of street dogs. No coordination and each one of you was scared of me." He was scolding while teaching the duelling club members about the fight. The club had been thinned down, when it had started there were about 200 members, no there were just 50, and all these were those who were truly serious about their hobby.
"I want to do it again, how is this possible that not even one of my spells landed on you?" Gilderoy Lockhart said.
"You're a second year, get accustomed to the spells of 2nd year first. I can see what you are trying to do, you're trying spells of 4th year. Everyone starts learning counting from 0 to 1, you don't straight up jump to 10 and start from there." Magnus scolded him.
"I am proficient in all kinds of spells, I am a prodigy in magic," Gilderoy claimed.
Magnus sighed, this was a weekly occurrence, Gilderoy and his bullshit proclamations.
"And who told you this? Your mother? Before the age of 10, I didn't even know I had magic in me. Yet I am this strong. At the age of 11, I was able to beat 5 wizards in a deathmatch. You are 12, then why are you not even able to defeat a 3rd-year student? There is no harm in admitting one's shortcomings because if you don't accept there is a problem, you will never be able to solve it." He genuinely tried to teach him. Be dumb or not, Gilderoy was a Slytherin, and every Slytherin was his friend.
"But... I am not supposed to be mediocre, I am supposed to be the best." Gilderoy said with a depressed face.
Magnus could understand his feelings, the kid had put his expectations from himself so high that when the reality hit him he couldn't accept it. That made him try even harder and eventually end up being so pathetic.
"Listen, any wizard can get stronger, if not Dumbledore's level then surely Professor McGonagall's level. But, for that, you need to be diligent in your studies and honest with yourself. Every single student in Slytherin gets classes from me, Ragnar and Severus, along with our special study material. It has helped so many to become better. You can too, that is if you let go of your inflated ego and see for what truly is." Magnus lectured.
Gilderoy silently nodded, looking down at his feet in shame. His actions and thoughts were so clear to Magnus that he could not even say Magnus was wrong. "Okay,"
After saying that much, he ran away. Magnus continued the class for a few more hours, they rarely get one every week anyway so it was better to teach whatever he could in one day.
Ragnar didn't join, as his fighting style wasn't really suited for this class. He used swords and potions to kill people. Severus was there though, along with James and Lily. They said they wanted to get stronger so they could protect themselves. He didn't deny them.
Professor Flitwick kept a vague eye on the class, coming there every once in a while. He had basically given it up to Magnus completely, knowing he was already a better duelist than him.
...
Fluffy, the poor three-headed dog ran as fast as he could. Not many knew about his existence so when the students of Hogwarts saw him entering the school they were terrified, girls screamed and boys took out their wands.
Fluffy was scared, he was no match for these wizards, but he knew he must save Hagrid, his dad. And the only person who could understand him was in the school. All three of his heads barked madly, hoping that he would be heard.
At the same time, he feared that someone would hurt him. His way into the school was blocked by a few senior male wizards.
"BOW! GRRR!"
"STAY BACK FROM THE BEAST!" A few boys shouted.
However, ignoring everything, one girl ran straight to the dog. Emma was on her way to the great hall for dinner when she heard the barks, it ended up being the right decision to come here.
"EMMA! STAY BACK!" some boys warned her out of goodwill.
But she ignored them and patted Fluffy's heads, "What happened, Fluffy?"
Noticing the fear in the dog's eyes, she knew what she must do. Sending a small amount of magic into her ring that Magnus gifted her last year, she talked to him directly, "Mag, quickly come to the west exit, Fluffy is here, he looks very scared."
Magnus didn't even reply and just dashed out as quick as he could. Fluffy was a daring dog, if something could scare him, then it must be crazy deadly. Ragnar and Severus also followed him behind.
...
Magnus moved aside the crowd and rushed to Fluffy. He picked the good boy in his arms and talked to him. "What happened, boy?"
Fluffy was not of the same intelligence as Duck, he was a common animal with low-level intelligence, "Dad, danger... help."
That was enough, he turned to Emma, "Take out brooms,"
She swiftly opened her expansion pouch and gave him a broom, then to Ragnar and Severus. He quickly flew away, keeping Fluffy in his arms so he could tell where to go to.
As soon as they hovered over the Forbidden forest, Magnus saw a few strobing lights. Angrily, he landed a few metres away from where the main action was taking place.
He looked back at his friends, "Stay silent, wizards are close by. Take out wands,"
They slowly moved towards the scene of action. It was already night so the jungle was pitch black, no moonlight fell under the thick blanket of the trees. Soon they heard some voices, it was Hagrid and two more men.
"I will take care of it," he said and took out the Ancient Staff, the one that used to be Merlin's. He was good enough to use it in some conditions. "I will melt their bones while keeping them alive."
"WAIT!" But when he suddenly looked to his right, he felt a third presence there. He rushed to this one, wanting to deal with the sneaky bitch. "Come out now, I know you're in there."
They could only notice a hooded figure. It seemed shocked that it was found out. Magnus pointed to his staff, "I will kill you if you don't speak."
"AH!" all of a sudden Magnus exclaimed, his face appearing horrified, he turned to Severus, " QUICK! Obliviate my past 5 minutes of memory. NOW!"
They were shocked beyond anything. But Severus trusted him, "Keep your shields down."
He did exactly that and allowed 5 minutes of his memories to be removed. He just looked around after that, "AH! HAGRID!" Exclaiming loudly, he caught the attention of the two attackers.
