Capítulo 22: chapter 20
In the first time in Charles' life he was praying to God. He didn't want Sasuke, the first person in his life that cared for him, to die.
After sitting by his side for hours, he decided to leave and head back to the apartment. The whole walk there Tony and Danny were trying to console him but even then, they knew how much Sasuke meant to Charles.
Arriving at his apartment Charles undressed and took a shower thinking of all the good moments him and his grandfather had together.
Getting out of the shower Charles put on his pajamas-White shirt and black shorts- and tried falling asleep.
An hour of tossing and turning, Charles gave up on trying to fall asleep.
[Charles go to bed. Sasuke wouldn't want you to be this depressed. We have a big day tomorrow, we cant go into the slave market looking like zombies. Get it together] Danny said.
[Charles, we know how hard it must be but you cant get depressed right now. You never know, Sasuke might pull through] Tony said.
Charles listened to them but couldn't respond. He knew that no matter what, Sasuke would most likely pass away. He knew that Sasuke wouldn't want him to be this depressed over something like this. He knew even before Sasuke collapsed that he couldn't be with him forever. After all, Sasuke was a very old man. 'But why does it hurt so much knowing you'll lose someone you love'.
That night after a lot of difficulty, Charles fell asleep with tears falling down his face.

In the morning Charles woke up in a terrible mood. Though he tried getting over what happened last night, he couldn't just forget.
"Danny, switch with me for a bit" Charles said.
[sure thing] accepted Danny.
After taking control of the body, Danny got up from the bed and stretched out his limbs. He then walked to his closet and got dressed in his uniform and left for school.
Once he got to school and walked into his class, he sat down and talked to some of his classmates.
When the bell rang everyone went back to their seats and waited for their teacher to walk in and start the lesson.
Time passed by quickly and once the lunch bell rang Danny and Shinso walked to the roof to have their lunch.
On the roof they met Zack, Mikasa, and Aizen. They all sat down and ate lunch together. While they were eating Shinso excused himself to got to the washroom and when he was gone Danny told them what happened with Sasuke.
The three took it pretty hard too since Sasuke was always nice to them and fed them whenever they went over.
"Can we visit the hospital today with you guys" Mikasa asked.
Danny smiled and happily agreed.
[Let me take over for a second] Charles said after watching how depressed everyone got.
After taking over his whole demeanor changed. He leaned back on his hands and spoke out. "You guys don't have to worry. We can visit him, but not today. We have things to do" Charles said.
Hearing Danny speak like that, the three knew they were speaking to Charles.
"Charles, we don't go to the shop until later tonight. We can visit for a little bit. Plus, we know you're going through a lot right now" Zack said.
"Sigh, fine" Charles said giving in to Zack's request.
'Switch back' Charles said as Danny took over the body once again.
['Thanks guys'] Charles thought.
Danny and the rest of the group talked for a couple minutes longer before Shinso went back. Before the group knew it, the hour was up and they had to get back to class.
After they got back to class the teacher started his lesson once more.
Luckily for Danny, he had two people inside his head to keep him company.
While he was talking to Charles and Tony, he noticed that Charles was in a way better mood. He let out a small smile before continuing his conversation with the two.
Time passed by and it was already the end of the day. Danny quickly switched with Charles before exiting the school.
Charles walked to the front and met up with the three before walking to the hospital. Getting to the hospital the three walked to the room Sasuke was staying at.
Charles knocked on the door before entering.
The four then walked through the door and saw Sasuke watching the news.
"What's up kids" Sasuke said with a smile.
Zack was the first one to walk up and greet him with a gentle hug.
"What's up gramps".
The other two followed his lead and walked up giving him light hugs. Charles was the last one and he couldn't help but show a sad smile.
"What's got you frowning kiddo. Is it a girl" Sasuke asked with a smirk.
"Come on gramps, you know me. I'll never have any girl troubles" Charles said making them laugh.
"Hahah, of course you wouldn't. After all you're my grandson" Sasuke said.
The five then talked about how their days were going for a while before Zack and the other two decided to leave the room and let Charles and Sasuke talk about the serious stuff.
After they left Charles sat down beside him before speaking.
"Gramps, they told m-" Charles choked on his words and couldn't finish as tears started falling from his face.
"Don't cry you brat" Sasuke said ruffling Charles' hair.
"Gramps. They told me you have one year left. What am I gonna do without you. I don't wanna lose you" Charles cried out.
Sasuke teared up as he grabbed Charles and pulled him into a hug.
"You damn brat. Making me cry and shit. Listen here, even if I die, I'll always be watching you. So you better not disappoint me" Sasuke said letting Charles go.
Charles wiped his eyes and laughed out. "You old man, you better watch me. I'll show you just how interesting things could get".
Charles gave him one last hug before leaving the room.
Once Charles was gone, Sasuke started violently coughing.
"hahaha, you better not think this is enough to kill" Sasuke said laughing aloud while clutching his shirt.
