We finally drifted out of the dark tunnel and into a large, colorful, gruesome, evil lair that was so awash with dead people that the stink managed to overpower both my cold and the already unimaginable aroma wafting up from a slow-moving boat filled with four Morticians and Cecil.
But what really made me gag were the clowns.
I don’t know if Sally had always wanted to join the circus or someone had found a ton of face paint or what, but the cavern was decked out like a Big Top, complete with ribbons of fabric along the walls, piles of popcorn littering the floor, and brightly-colored obstacles scattered around the floor waiting for an elephant to stomp in and balance on them.
