There are several opinions on what moved science forward the most through human history. Some said wars and weaponry race birthed and spread many of the most used inventions of the present day. Some said that science moved after the money, towards the things most profitable. And some joked that laziness was the engine of progress, that it was what pushed people to automate everything.
If these people ever met Eve, she'd tell them they all were idiots. She'd tell them that there was no single right answer, because essentially, each of the motivation was connected to some other one.
It was the same with the zombie nanites. Eve wanted to create them for the good of humanity, but she'd never have the resources for it without other people. People that wanted to gain more money and power by use of her inventions.

Somehow, even when I start writing stuff about levelling up and the power system and sci-fi stuf and blah blah blah, it ends up with kissing or something. Gosh, I feel like a schoolgirl. But I think many readers will need just that after all the technical details I put on them :D
