"The world is plunging into Chaos and they are robbing Imperial members in broad daylight." A cultivator said disgustedly. Sounding self-righteous with his words but the eyes gave away the greed the man held. 'Bastards got to it before I did, hopefully, they find something good and I can kill them acting the hero!'
"Humph." Liang Yu walked over to the cultivator with a presence he didn't carry before. The change in his cultivation came with a few small benefits like this. "Mind repeating yourself?" A small change to the vocal cords allowed both himself and Ye Yue to have different voices easily. "Eh tough guy?"
"Humph, everyone here can see that you are just some corpse robber!" The cultivator was still feeling self-righteous and was happy for the provocation. 'This idiot will make it even easier for me to rob him!'
*Schlick!* A line of blood came out before spurting around the neck of the now-dead cultivator. Liang Yu never raised a hand but Ye Yue did. Her control of the clear flame was very impressive.
"I could have taken care of him yah know?" Liang Yu said while turning back towards her. Not a single bit of blood landing on him due to his qi control. "No need to overexert yourself."
"I understand but, I couldn't stand his look." Ye Yue said neutrally. However internally she was shocked it was so easy killing a person unguarded like this. "Besides, I need to steel my resolve. Killing must become as easy as breathing if I am to survive."
"True." Liang Yu nodded and the two walked forward. Not a single glance spared to the others around that came with Ye Xinghe.
"How ruthless that girl is." Ye Xinghe mumbled. Xia Yuning said nothing as she checked the body and spoke with the remaining people that came with the dead cultivator. 'I wonder what family he is from and what possible actions will need to be taken to distance...'
"Whew, thanks!" Xia Yuning sighed loudly after finding out there was nothing important about the one that just died. The group was just a few cultivators that banded togethor to gain some resources or some of the treasure. "Xinghe, he should move faster, something is odd is happening in the area and I do not think it smart to remain isolated."
"Ehm!" Pulled from his thoughts, Ye Xinghe followed her. A small look of worry as Xia Yuning kept the pace between them constant. Ever since going to the Eternal Heaven Family recently to try and save An Xueyan the two's relationship started to crumble a little. 'Haa, maybe it is better this way. She is the daughter of the North Lord's Mansion after all. But then.. shouldn't I give up on pursuing Big sis An?'
Deep in thought once more, Xinghe missed the looks Xia Yuning was giving him over her shoulder. Her emotional turmoil was way heavier. Especially with a letter, she received from a family friend about the North Lord's Mansion possibly losing their status and marked as traitors.
'Not only is there trouble at home, but that Lin Yin is at the Azure Feather Family. No one can match her one-on-one. We need to find some of the treasure then regroup. Afterward... I will tell Xinghe I am going home for a bit.' Only slightly worried he would try to stop her, Xia Yuning left it for a later conversation. 'I doubt he really cares though. He has his precious BIg sis An's sister so that will help strengthen their relationship even further.'
Xia Yuning's cheeks flushed a little as she thought about if the two were alone how far would they progress. The Dual Cultivation both she and Ye Xinghe was only of the basic level. With how much the other two like each other, they most likely would get carried away.
Liang Yu and Ye Yue waited to the side as the final members of the Big Clans came around. Only one worth of helping out was the Lei Family. By the looks of the group, they moved more cautiously than others.
Lei Hong moved over to Liang Yu and Ye Yue after a clan member gave him a nudge. Pointing to a letter, the clansmen passed it to the young family head.
"I see." Lei Hong and his clan members walked over to Liang Yu respectfully and saluted. This caused a small stir in the family who thought it odd such a respectful member would do such a thing to a nobody. "The Lei Family greets the respectful senior!"
*Boom!* Lei Hong's voice came out quite powerful. Causing even further questions to pop up for those present that watched. The camps of the Divine Flame Family and the White Mirror Family watched the proceedings even more carefully now.
"Be at ease.." Liang Yu returned a respectful greeting enough back. With the influence in the change of his cultivation, the aura he gave off was very much that of a respected elder. He found it funny that he needed to have a change in his cultivation as well as be disguised to received this type of respect. "To come for the treasure, you are very bold young Hong."
"It is just a small thing really. Had to get out of the family compound." Lei Hong relaxed as he spoke. Happy that the person described in the letter would be so accommodating and not stuffy like most elders. He gave a once-over to Ye Yue and just thought she was a little odd only. "Shall we travel together to help deal with any problems?"
"Sounds like a plan." Both looked towards the other families that looked to be up to no good a little. Whisperings were already happening the moment people made up their minds about things. "Something needs to be done to prevent the enemy from winning so easily."
Liang Yu, Ye Xiu, and Lei Hong's group were relaxing for the most part after some letters were written up by Lei Hong containing the seal of his family to help push things along. Preparations around the surrounding towns while Liang Yu traveled previously started to show results.
Several clans were tense and slightly worried after hearing that the treasure was fake and this was all a possible trap by someone A few subsidiary families retreated that belong to the Dark Moon Family. All of them were plants set up by Liang Yu to help show people were concerned about the matter.
"Seems the report was right." Lei Hong looked towards Liang Yu. "Yet you are still going to check the place out?"
"Correct. A chance to eliminate the enemy of the "people" is at hand." Liang Yu observed that he had one of the strongest cultivations with Astral Sense of those present. So far, he did not pick up any of the rebel forces or the Imperial Army in the area. 'Has the change grown even further from my involvement and the Dimensional Collapse? Or is this just the help of human behavior?'
Ye Yue just kept quiet as she thought things over after Liang Yu passed her some papers. More confirmation reports about activity around Blue Carp Town as well as what happened in the Academy the last few months.
'No report about the old Ancestor having attacked the Dark Moon Family occurred. The North Lord's Mansion announcement of disowning Xia Yunning never occurred as well thanks to me still.' Liang Yu felt trouble would arrive from something he missed but not he could do about that until he figured things out. 'No one had found out the messenger was killed under my orders. But Xia Yuning and Ye Xinghe seem to still have done the "paired cultivation" method based on the strength increase of the two. But at least the Imperial Family has not interfered in my governance in the area.'
The entrance to the "treasure" opened up from the ground while they talked. The various groups of families scrambled to try to enter but were thrown back by an overwhelming repulsive force. A few bruises and damaged egos the only thing showing on most of them. A few even laughed at the situation.
Liang Yu, Ye Xiu, and Lei Hong's group walked forward. A few sneered at the group and waited to see what would happen to them.
*Woom! Woom!* A small distortion from touching the restriction in place by Liang Yu caused an opening. This allowed them in without an issue before closing back up. The shocked faces were only beaten by angrier faces from a few clan heads.
The refining of the statues went a long way in his understanding of the place. Small tidbit information kept by the small traces of qi left inside them. As well as the information stored inside the Jade Bones that were refined.
Liang Yu still did not believe the bones belonged to the Emperor. Who the person happened to be still eluded him somewhat. But the knowledge would be valuable once he advances further to draw more on the technique combined with Astral Sense and the Metal Seed.

The Shengong Family were currently making preparations for future matters. Word got around that some experts made it into the Heaven's Family a few days ago and caused a ruckus. The reaction to the rumor confirmed that even the big families were not safe during these times.
With the leaving of a subsidiary family and the changes in the Noble Families due to the rebel's movements, the Elders were on edge.
Such as the two old men talking with one another.
The retired member of the Dark Moon Family Liang Zhan Tian, wore a resolute look on his face. Not only did the upheaval of his family caused a problem but the fact a member not directly in line for succession killed the Patriarch in a direct confrontation was cause for alarm.
'That little bastard Liang Yu killed his family members, changed the status quo in Blue Carp Town and surrounding regions, and broke off from the Great House! Yet I am here trying my best to achieve a breakthrough to raise the prestige of the family!'
The retired member of the Divine Family Hong Yan, Had a small smirk on his face. This type of environment the man was looking for to change the status of the families in the region. Let alone the matter with the rebels that keep popping up just to be cut down but the Imperial Family were all acting foolishly.
"Zhan Tian, it looks like you failed to break through once more. It is a shame." Hong Yan said softly. "Do you think it is stress that caused the issue?"
"Humph, it just maybe brother Hong." Zhan Tian's shoulders dropped a little in resingation. "I'm already a 118 years old. If I do not break through to the 9th Heavenly Realm soon that will be the end of it, my lifespan is about to reach its end after all."
"Hmm, am I not in the same situation?" Hong Yan asked in response. The smirk on his face faltering just a little more. "If we could just Breakthrough to the Ninth Heavenly Realm, we would be able to extend our lifespan by at least thirty years or so."
"Old age is starting to affect the power of our qi. Soon we will no longer be able to attempt to breakthrough as our bodies and minds deteriorate from the countless years of fighting." Zhan Tian grumbled. "Should have taken more risks when we were younger."
*Rumble!* Heavy footfalls could be heard in the courtyard. A few messengers ran through the area looking a right mess. One-shot off towards the two elders.
"What is it?" Hong Yan felt a small stirring in his chest. Both dread and excitement. 'Have they made a decision the family can go with now?'
"Old Ancestor... the Imperial Family has made a decision about the New Dark Moon Family!" The messenger shouted. Catching his breath was more important than courtesy. "As well as making a change in who runs the North Lord's Mansions troops!"
"Seems I must head out Brother Hong!" Zhan Tian stood up and departed after a few words. His informants n the Dark Moon Family spoke about Liang Yu leaving again, now would be the perfect time to strike and take back control of the family. "May we meet in better times!"
*Fwoosh!* In a burst of speed the old man was gone. The messenger passing over the report to his elder before leaving.
'The Imperial Family is quite bold!' Hong Yan was suprised the more he read. Reading over what happened to the various Commander due to rebel opposition was quite the thing. 'How did the Imperial Family learn of traitors in their ranks?'
