Old Xu had rushed to see what he could do to stop the fighting. Not one but two of his students were there. Then he arrived and spotted that all three of his students were involved. But he was suprised to see Liang Yu fight against someone at the 7th Heavenly Layer and then killing him.
He missed him killing two 7th Heavenly elders earlier.
More and more he wished they got along. But that was not in the cards. After things settled did he go to greet the others.
"Patriarch, your teacher has arrived." A guard leads Old Xu in. He stood to the side afterward.
"Thank you, continue on your way." Liang Yue waved the guard off. In the room were Ye Xuer, Lin Yin, Liang Jian, and Ye Mu. Linlin was busy straightening out the forces still. Enjoying it way more than she should be. "How goes it?"
"It goes it goes." Old Xu brushed his beard observing things. Liang Yu seemed the same despite all that he had done in a rush. As far as the old teacher was concerned. Thinking about how Liang Yu was able to activate technically seven soul crystals made him abnormal compared to others. His thoughts then drifted to Ye Xinghe and what he accomplished. The difference between the two was starting to appear more and more really. "Now that you are head of your clan, what will you do?"
"The same things as before. Try to change things in the area that I can and elevate people a little more to better circumstances. Expanding territory into the wilderness is the current plan as well. Way to many demon beasts nearby." Liang Yu pointed at a map that had several notes on it. The beasts were moving in dangerous ways. Something was up. "The rebels and the traitors in the Imperial Army are a cause for concern. The common people will be pulled into this if something is not done."
"I see."
"Also would like to increase ties with the school still. More students to come and learn here as well as send more clan members to the academy. But I know that is not something you can make happen." Liang Yu reached into his side and pulled out a scroll. "I take it this can be read by you and not fall into the wrong hands.
"Of course. I believe I saw An Xueyun and some forces nearby, are you going to speak with her?"
"No, she is here for Ye Xinghe, if it is not obvious now the girl is smitten by him. For the most basics of reasons and nothing more really. Smart but stupid at the same time." Liang Yu signed some documents and handed them to another guard to go and deliver. "Her fiancee and father will not allow her to do as she likes. She has forgotten she is property or ignores it. Denial is such a thing in the young. THe smart thing would be for her to train and make connections. THen find a way to sneak her sister out of her family."
"Will you listen to a request from your teacher?" Old Xu decided to go for broke. "Help her in some way if you can. Just something will do."
"Hmm, if you do something for me, I will do something that can be considered good for her." Liang Yu leaned back staring at his teacher. "But it requires your loyalties more towards me and not others. Is that something you can do?"
The two started a long discussion that leads into the night. Around the area, those who tried to speak about what happened were suppressed and bodies dragged away to the Dark Moon Family compound. Each Enforcer had no idea why the bodies of those killed were needed but it allowed them to live longer so it was good enough.

The plans with old Xu went as well as they could. The changes Liang Yue wanted to make and the governance of people were things the man could only dream of. Using the various Articles of Declaration as well as several Constitutions for the people to live by helping. After all, this Dimension was primitive so some small movements all over needed to be done.
Currently, Liang Yu was advising Lin Yin. She did well intercepting the North Lord's Mansion carrier before everything happened. As far as most were concerned, Xia Yuning was still a princess. The stupidity that no one would act against left the nobles here defenseless more times than not.
You would think with a rebellion going they would think better.
"Are you comfortable with doing this?"
"I.. understand why you want me to do this.. but she is a child."
"Then it can not be helped." Liang Yu shook his head in dismay. "If "Destiny" allows her to make it the Azure Feather clan, then so be it. But you should be aware of the strength they have. That will not end well."
"Maybe we should talk with them to see if their minds can be changed?" Lin Yin watched him as he moved around to grab more documents. Liang Yu immediately writing up other orders to get ready.
"Go for it. I will not stop you from trying. Just be mindful what they do to you is on you. I have no designs to go against the Eternal Heaven Family. I will not fight several battles when I am just establishing myself." Liang Yu frowned at the young woman, An XueYan was an impulse of a child that caused quite a few problems. Not intentionally of course but that did not mean it was ok to let her do what she liked. "DO you think it fair to bring the Dark Moon Family into their squabbles during this time?"
"No, I don't. I just don't like doing nothing." Lin Yin was frustrated. "What is the point of this power if I do nothing!?" After seeing Liang Yu who was at the "7th Heavenly Layer" beat two elders and the patriarch she was feeling quite bold.
Even though she still couldn't best Linlin in a fight.
"You have power but no experience. That is why you are operating in the shadows like this." Liang Yu stood up walking over to her. He placed a hand on her shoulder gaining her attention again. "Kidnapping a child and causing a disruption in the family seems cruel but it is better than what will happen. At worst the older sister An XueYun will kill herself in grief if her sister has gone missing or she believes she is dead. The blame can be put on the family and a new identity can be given to the sister for she can live a new life."
"But her sister will be dead!" Lin Yin retorted angrily. "Just.. think of a better plan!"
"I do not have the time to do so." Liang Yu moved to the door. "I have other things to attend to. I can not put it all on hold for one child. That is why you should kidnap her while she is on the road."
"Why are you not as mad with her father as you were with my father and what he was trying to do?"
"Haa, because the head of the Eternal Heaven Family had those children for that specific reason as to use as goods. Not like it is hidden or he is acting as if it is something else. I can respect that level of outright influence and actions. When he says daughter, it is not out of affection to the two, it is a means to keep them shackled." Liang Yu grabbed the door handle and turned it. "Your father, despite loving you still arranged that marriage and pressured you into a tournament to decide your husband. All in the name of love but it was something more, you know that."
*Thunk!* The door closed loudly as Lin Yin was left in the office by herself. She collapsed to the ground thinking of the more extreme plans Liang Yue mention and felt powerless. It was starting to become suffocating at times.
"He doesn't know the North Lord Mansion will betray the Imperial family! It is just his suspicions! Taking a risk like this will only end badly!" Lin Yin pulled out the report she received from a guard earlier. The Imperial Family sent an envoy to check on the North Lord's mansion due to letters regarding their loyalty. "Liang Yu... if you are sowing dissent in the empire, I don't think it is right. Makes you know better than the rebels you hate!"
Her thoughts then went back to the woman she saw at the lake a few times. No longer feeling sorry for herself, she left to head to Blue Carp Lake.

A whipped descended once more cutting into the back of a foolish girl. An XueYan watched with tearful eyes as her sister was whipped again for going to help a friend. She was confused about what her sister did wrong. But she did not deserve such harsh treatment.
"Big sis!" The little cried her eyes out. No amount of pleading helped at all. She didn't dare to look at the man called father to get him to stop anymore.
An Yuanlong was the standard overbearing nonsense of a father that could be found in this Dimension. Only goal was more prestige and more power for the family. A sense of self like some many others did not exist. Just one-dimensional aims.
"Xueyun, have you learn the error of your ways?" An Yuanlong gaze was cold as he looked at his "daughter." She was just a piece to be used nothing more. "To actually bring men from our Eternal Heaven Family to interfere with the Dark Moon Family business, who gave you the authority to do something like that?"
An Xueyun raised her head up a little to answer. "This daughter realizes the error of her ways." It never occurred to the girl that she had more power than she thought. A small-time of discomfort is nothing to the overall revenge she could have. After all, if her fiance liked her enough she could maneuver revenge on the Eternal Heaven Family easily. But that would make to much sense for the foolish girl.
"Xueyun, it's not that your father is being to harsh. Your actions are in violation of our clan's rules! Do you know how much trouble you could have brought on the family?" An Yuanlong toned never soft our changed to a concerned father at all. "To make it worse, the New Dark Moon Family head and yourself, despite being brother and sister disciple, have a bad relationship I hear."
"Liang Yue..." An Xueyun's body tensed up a little. Remembering the few confrontations with her senior brother. "..just has trouble getting along with Ye Xinghe. I.." After mentioning his name she felt that was the wrong move.
*Brrpp!* A cold pressure pushed into the room.
"As yes, Ye Xinghe. I've heard you have a rather questionable relationship with that brat from the Azure Feather Family. I believe Xia Yuning says all three of you are involved." A small hint of disgust could be heard. "He is a commoner, have you no shame?"
"My relationship with him is just that of a senior sister and junior brother!" An XueYun felt a tightening in her chest. She felt if things were not handled better, Ye Xinghe would have more trouble on his hands. "Previously during the incident in the training grounds, he had saved my life! How could I not repay the debt of having my life saved! If word got around, who would trust the Eternal Heaven Family?"
The room was silent for just a moment. Even the tears from An XueYan could no longer be heard.
"Whatever your relationship with that brat maybe, I don't really care. A year from now, you will be sent off to the capital to be married off. During this time, you will have to stay within the Eternal Heaven Family and not set a foot outside at all." An Yuanlong singled the whipping to continue as he left. His countenance was dark as he thought on the movements in the clans. 'The Azure Feather Clan broke off against the Dark Moon Family and the Dark Moon Family broke off against those above it. All the subsidiary clans under Dark Moon Family should be in turmoil. But that Liang Yu lessen the burden by removing taxes for two months and making a reform. Chaos handled with Chaos with a little sweet mixed in. I wonder what the previous Patriarch will do once he finds out?'
