Capítulo 9: Day 21 Before daybreak Star Pillar
Liang Yu moved through the woods like a phantom. His mouth covered to help keep his breathing low. He grabbed leaves and rubbed it all over his body to help mask his scent from demonic beasts. With his control of his qi, no fluctuation of power went out.
'Relying just on my body is defintely way to go. I will need all my qi in case things go wrong.' Liang Yu took the time to look at his status right then. 'Hmmm.'

'Ok should have checked and wrote some things down the first time. Health relates directly to my cultivation layer level I guess. About a 100 points per level. But my Qi seems constant only for my Fire Martial Arts. While my Flame Vortex multiplies and applies when breaking through. It doubled last time but went times 3 this time. So when I hit the 4th layer it will either go by 4 or something else entirely.' Liang Yu made note to keep a better check on it when something fundamental happen in his body to reflect that. 'Defense increased with my bones improving as well as the Metal Seed. I need to get that to the next level to see if it is really worth it.'
Slipping past a small opening, Liang Yu ignored the students that were out doing some hanky panky. Good for them, best they get some in before the craziness happens later. Should pick a better spot though.
The Star Pillar was visible so he was getting closer to it at least.
'Willpower barely went up but not like anything major happen recently. Seen worse things in horror moves and during surgery at times.' Liang Yu was not looking forward to something traumatizing for that to rise up really. Only extreme ituations could really held to test one's mettle. 'As for my Intellect.. that is definitely going to take a while. Unless I find techniques to help in that department. Really should haven done something else after getting established as a plastic surgeon. But then again... that was hard as shit.'
*Swirl!* Inside the Flame Vortex Core spun a little. As if taunting him a bit to take the next step. Liang Yu shook it away not ready to be burned and grinded down by it currently still. But if that is what it would take to get Astral Sense to level tech level 2, he may have to do it sooner than he hoped.
Whatever COnnection happened to be blew him for a loop still. So he left it for later.
'At least my Internal Space is spreading pretty quickly. Up to the size of a football field.' Liang Yu smiled happily at that. As well as the fact it was able to provide a small atmosphere inside it.
The problem was the size reflected the amount of air inside. Which was used up really quickly when he placed a live demonic beast inside and it died in like 10 minutes. Not counting the fact the more it struggled inside the area the more he felt his qi drain away. 'Need to study that more later to. But not now. Maybe get some dirt and trees in their to help?'
As Liang Yu made it to the Star Pillar, elsewhere Liang Jian met a grisly encounter. He was left beaten and bloody in a hole as his assailant ran away. He would be found in the morning very easily as the attacker wanted.
Liang Jian's eyes did not die out just yet. A small light still burned within him. Slowly, the small traces of lightning circled his limbs and pathways. Keeping him clinging to life. A look of resentment as he stared out unmoving.

Star Pillar-

As soon as Liang Yu made it within 5 feet of the star pillar, it reacted strangely. A pulse of light shot out invading his mind in an instant. His response was to lead it to the Flame Vortex to fight it out as he did with the old Liang Yu, but common sense told him that would be a bad idea.
Instead, he leads it to his dantian. If something happens to it well.. he had his Flame Vortex Core still. The qi seemed to be mostly star energy in a way. It smashed into his Dantian like a hammer against an egg. Trying to destoy it really.
"Kuff!" Liang Yu coughed up some blood in response. He did his best to try and move against the effects ravaging his body. The Star Pillar released small pulses that sent waves attacking his body. "Welp, this was dumb!"
The Star Pillar was attacking him. Apprently is secrets activated at night time and not the day. That, or Liang Yu had bad timing.
Not giving in, Liang Yu circulate his Dantian in resitance. The star energy contiuned to hammer away at him. Each strike changing him a little. Making him weaker and threatening his cultivation rank.
"Rah!" Liang focused and gave a punch towards the piallar. The momentum pushing him away just a little. "Shit!" THe ground underneat not helping at all. He started to get pulled back towards the star pillar. Almost in a gravity well of sorts. "Da hell!"
Circulating his Flame Vortex Core he pushed it all towards his legs. His legs lit up with red and white lines. MUscle overexerted as took a few steps back then jumped back entirely. For safe measure, he moved even further away.
"I almost.. died. To a none moving, inamiate object!" Liang Yu cursed under his breath. Never did he feel so.. dumb. "This place.. is just not right. Demonic beasts sure, spirit treasures sure, but pillars attacking, hell no! I swear if I am attacked by a treasure chest one day, I am going to lose it!"
*Fwish!* A ball of blue flame appeared in front of him with a thought. Composed of his Flame Martial Arts qi, he tossed it at the pillar. As soon as it reached five feet, it disipated as the pillar basically consummed it.
"Well.. that is just Prime!" Laing Yu said indignant. He did not move from his position as he was trying to recover quickly. Not only was his dantian damage, the remaining star energy inside was attacking his body relentlessy. "Just because I am not a star martial artist, this is b.s. man!"
The damage cultivation pieces turned into a hard like substance that floated around his dantian. Circling around as if it was trying to trap it. Slowly energy was produced that slowed his body down some.
Liang Yu fought back with his qi as best he could. Circulating a bit of his Flame Vortex Core qi, he got an idea. If it was able to change qi a little before, maybe it could change this to fix the situation.
Fire Body was pushed to the limit. His flesh eating up the qi as best it could to prevent the damage from spreading. One qi fought against the invading star energy as the Flame Vortex Core qi latched on to it eat away at the invading force.
"Kukk!" Liang Yu's teeth grinded against each other as he stifled the pain. Blood blisters appearing over his body as he fought to contain the energy inside. The little he understood about cultivation warning him that if it escaped out on its own, he would be a dead man! 'Memo to self, find things to heal myself! And soon!'
Unfortunately nothing in the library in the school hinted toward healing technques really. Well not that he found yet anyway. Lots of stuff to look over when he gets back. If he makes it back.
As Liang Yu fought back against the star energy inside his body, he barely noticed that he slid forward just a little. Visibly he caught the sight of hands reaching for him from the Star Pillar. The hands were guiding the Star Energy to apprehend him.
"Nope! A whole bunch of nope!" LIang Yu turned to get away. Instantly blood spurted from several blood vessels. The pain was ignored due to survival. 'If those hands get ahold of me, I can kiss my cultivation goodbye!'
*Fwip! Fwip!* Both hands missed Liang Yu's hair. But a finger barely brushed his back. Where it touched pulled against his Flame Martial Arts qi. Using that as a bridgeway to attack his Dantian again.
Crawling a few hundred feet away, Liang Yu finally felt safe. The Star Energy no longer hurting his body. Under the guise of the Flame Vortex Core qi, he circulate the energy to push hiis body to heal as fast as possible.
'Need to figure out what happen, and quickly!' LIang Yu checked his body over and over again. THe only good thing that came from this is that he found a way to help speed up recovery internally. The Flame Voretec Core qi mixed with his Flame Martial Arts qi did it work really. 'This is to exhausting though. And basically just encouraging my body to recover faster. Not really a technque directly.'
Frustrated Liang Yu thought the matter over once more. As well as everything that has happened when he cultivate the first few times. Something had to be missing really that he overlooked.
Back at the Star Pillar a figure looked out in Liang Yu's direction. A look of loss since it was unable to obtain him. Soon the figure retreated back into the pillar and returned to a dormant state.
The only thing visible that something odd happneed recently, was the overturned ground and scorch marks scattered about from Liang Yu resisting.

After a few painstaking hours Liang Yu found some answers. The Star Pillar was trying to remove his cultivation entirely. But it was also changing it into that of a Star Martial Artist. But it showed a type of conflict with the Flame Vortex Core qi on further inspection.
The Star Energy slowed down the conversion method that the Flame Vortex Core did. The only thing that helped was the use of the Astral Sense method. And that almost lead to Liang Yu destroying his body from the inside out from the rampant energy produced.
'Ok, that Star Pillars Star Energy is way different than shit I have come across before.' Liang Yu thought things over as he moved back to camp. He wanted to get at least a few winks of sleep in to help relax his mind. 'Way more violent than Ye Xinghe's qi and my current Flame Vortex Core qi."
*Crack!* The sound of something giving way echoed out from inside his body. A hardened like substance that engulfed his Dantian had broken away. With a circulation of his qi, it was grounded away and used to strengthen his passageways.
Rebuilding his Flame Martial Arts back up was easy compare to first establishing. Since the quality was not as bad as the first time. Tempered by the Flame Vortex Core qi not only once but twice now. As well as battling against the Star Energy that was released.
"Now time for some good.. old.. rest.." Liang Yu's voice droned out as he relized he was surrounded. Despite controlling his qi as best he could, some demonic beast had felt the change and smelled the blood. "Guess sleep will have to wait a little more then."
Liang Yu was going to show no mercy fighting the Demonic beast that attacked him. Each one defeated would be added or a test later as well as something else he had to prepare for.
Those part of the rebellion would have cried tears of blood if they knew a perfect chance was missed to take Liang Yu out. But no one really knew he left the camp that night.
