I could not stop crying, I had been deprived of saying goodbye to one of the most important people in my life, who I might not see again in many months or maybe years.
I was taken to my seat, which was at the front of the plane, for some reason this aircraft did not have a "first class" section, so only a few steps away from my seat was the pilots' cabin, which was only separated from the rest of the plane by a red curtain.
My seat was next to the window and next to me was a girl, possibly the same age as me or maybe a couple of years older. She looked a little nervous and since I was taken to my seat she kept looking at me, as if she was getting ready to talk to me.
-Are you nervous," she asked, keeping her eyes straight ahead.
-Not exactly," I said as I wiped away the tears that kept falling down my cheeks.
-It's normal that you are," she continued speaking, "just look at me, I'm still shaking.
