Monday morning
I left home early, leaving my friends inside the house, as if they owned the place they hadn't left since that party the other day, they were accompanying me all this time, and I'm partly glad they did because I didn't have to bear the news that I would be leaving in a few days completely alone.
Now I was wearing black jeans and a white shirt with a black jacket. I had arranged to meet Carla at the same coffee shop where I had met my editor, Kevin, the other day.
Apparently it was a place that was used by several of the people from that publisher, and not because it was close to his office exactly, it wasn't close at all really.
