Swoosh!!! Swoosh!!! Swoosh!!!

Several figures walked out from the darkness with glittering green eyes. Everyone is wearing high-tech gadgets which could make them able to see in the darkness.

"It seems that the rumors are true. You really are very strong… not human even." A person in white said while walking in front of the group.

"I am Gao Wen… the leader of the Hunters from the White Serpent Gang." The man introduced.

But he did not let Xin Wei say anything and just continued.

"We were going to hunt you because of the bounty in your head. But seeing what happened here, it seems that we would be meeting our doom if we do so. That's why I decided to fall back…"

"Fall back? Haha… To get more men? Do you think I'm stupid or something?" Xin Weir said in a cold tone.

"Young man, we know that you are very strong. But I suggest that you do not underestimate your enemies." The man said as he waves his hand and around twenty hunters took a step forward from amongst the armed men behind them.

"The number of casualties just increased…" Xin Wei said with a smirk.

"You insolent!" one of the hunters shouted and wanted to take action.

However, the man in white, Gao Wen, waves his hand to stop the hunter.

"We will not fight tonight… everyone retreat!" shouted Gao Wen as he suddenly throws on the ground a smoke bomb.

As the smoke spreads so did the rest of the hunters and the armed men. But how could Xin Wei let some of them go? He needs to show them that coming to this place and showing themselves would cause some of them their lives.

Whoosh!!! Whoosh!!! Whoosh!!! Whoosh!!!

Several sharp needle-like wires were thrown in the air by Xin Wei.

Even with the cover of the thick smoke, he was able to take down three of the Hunters and several armed men who are running from the area.

"No! Spike!"

"Kilowatt is down!"

"Trance is down!"

Shouts from the hunters came from deep within the smoke as their comrades fell on the ground. But the rest is now afraid to turn around and help them. How could they not know that the smoke bomb is actually helpless in covering their retreat?

Their enemy is truly a monster.

"White Flash, what should we do now?"

"Retreat! We have to report no matter what!"

"We will get the rest of the Hunters in this place and flatten it in one go. Let's see if that guy still fights against us!" shouted one of the Hunters.

But before he could say another word, something seems to have hit him and his expression turned blank. Then his eyes turned all white as he lifelessly fell to the ground.

"Damn it! He is hunting us one by one!" shouted White Flash as his figure suddenly disappears from the spot.

The rest of the Hunters are now filled with fear as they began to scatter all over the place.

With a slight smile on my face, I did not attack them anymore as my goal has been achieved. All I need now is for them to be able to successfully lead me to the camp of this White Serpent Gang.

I have already encountered someone from the Black Serpent, now the White Serpent is next. If I can get their location, then I could get a grasp for my next move.

I began to plan out while following these people who suddenly got into their vehicles and retreated from the suburbs.

While following them, I noticed that the group is going in another direction to the east of the base of the Black Serpent Gang which I remembered.

After an hour of following the group secretly through the ruins and the buildings, I then saw them entering a particular new building with many armed men stationed around it. And behind that building is a tall wall with a large gate. The wall is around 30 meters in height with many armed men patrolling at the top.

I did not expect that there is such a building in this place. This is still far from the city but I could tell that this is an important base that I have not noticed before.

City H is a very huge city with many tall buildings; hence I was not able to discover such a place before.

But from this place up to the inner part of the city will take me another 3 hours if I just ran in a straight line. But that would also expose me to many hidden sentries if I am not that careful.

Though I don't fear the hunters, I still did not want to incur any injuries because of my neglect. So I decided to shift my attention to another direction.

I need to exact my plan tonight before the break of dawn. Ling Ting must die.

With that in mind, I immediately ran towards the direction of the Black Serpent Gang's base. Since I am familiar with the terrain in this place, after passing through a couple of settlements, I soon reached a tall wall.

I know that on the other side of this wall is the inner city. Touching the wall, I could feel that this wall was not slowly made by many people. Its rough surface makes it look like someone raised it from the ground.

The earthen wall was then covered with concrete which now turned into this very high wall. Without hesitation, I jump at around 10 meters high and then extended my hand to claw on the wall's surface.

It felt like soft clay as I easily clawed my way up the wall.

When I was about to reach the top, I slowed down as I suddenly noticed something from afar to my right side.

"A camera!" I thought in alarm.

Without hesitation, I quickly gathered all of my strength and then propelled my body high up in the air towards the very top of the wall.

Whoosh!!!

The armed man was startled and looks around. However, he found no one and was about to leave. But then I was already falling towards him.

Thud!

Without any warning, I quickly broke his neck and then take his bullets. I have already taken a rifle from the Hunters that have fallen. But I did not bother with the bullets, as I wanted to chase after those escaping Hunters and their armed troops.

I suddenly discover that entering the inner city is actually this easy. I was wondering why I wasted all of those days outside trying to formulate my next move when it was this easy.

Using the map that I have gotten from the laptop, I look at a small phone that I have gotten my hands into and then look at the map of city H.

"I have to go to this place to enter the bar district… Then from there, I could to the Dancing Swan Bar through this alley…"

After a while of plotting and planning, I turned my attention towards the direction of the many lights. Walking forward, I soon found myself in the middle of a familiar place where I might have been before. There are many people in this place who are unaware of the real danger outside the inner city.

Many who are starving and being treated as a slave lives there while the people in this place live normal lives. They go to work, make friends, fall in love, go home, eat, and sleep. Then the next day they would do the same routine again.

But of course, these people have to walk a very thin line so that the Syndicate would not have them in their sight. Once they committed a slight mistake or been targeted by someone then their happy and simple life would immediately end and be turned into one that is synonymous with living hell.

I blended with the people by taking some clothes that I found in the trash. It is still wearable but it seems that the alley I was in is near a clothes shop.

And so I took the jacket and then wore it in to conceal the weapons on my body.

As I walked out of the alley and then reached the main walkway of the busy street, I found myself reminiscing about a lot of things. But then I suddenly discover from the corner of my eyes a person standing beside me.

When that person looks at me, he showed a sly smile. He has golden teeth and his shifty reaction makes him look shady.

Suddenly, I heard from afar a whistle.

"Damn it!" I said but also heard the man saying the same thing.

As if he thought that we were both in trouble with the authorities in the inner city. I did not why he thinks about this, but his action made me feel a bit dumbfounded.

He suddenly grabbed my hand and then said in a loud voice.

"Run!"

Capítulo 67: Small Gang

The person who dragged me with some golden teeth is also a young man like me. But his way of clothing is different as he seems to be from an affluent family. I just now noticed that his attire makes him look like a son of a rich family.

But something is different about this guy. He seems to be rich but at the same time looks poor. This is due to the traces of stains on his clothes.

His suit which looks expensive is stained by some traces of grease, and his pants are a little worn out along with his leather shoes.

While running I tried to observe the guy and it did not take long before we soon arrive in an old building. I noticed that while running we were able to lose our pursuers in the process. The young man is a bit agile as he jumps from one wall up to another as if he is good at doing parkour.

But whenever he turns his back on me, I would just casually follow him behind without doing those difficult movements and stuff. But I was really interested in how he was able to do it and decided to observe the young man closely.

Soon, I began to follow his movements which give me the feeling of freely flying through the roofs and the streets. Although it would be easier for me to use my strength and dexterity in this kind of situation, it has already piqued my interest to observe and learn more.

Soon, I was moving like him and could easily scale the walls without a hitch even without using my strength and dexterity that much.

But it seems that this continuous movement drains a slight amount of my constitution.

After arriving in the old building we entered a window through the fire exit ladder.

I could see that inside that room, there are a few youths just like him and they are busy just idling roundabout without doing anything.

"Hey, you're good… I tell you that." the young man said as he patted my shoulder.

Suddenly, one of them noticed that my jacket seems to be bulging and wanted to touch my back to see what it is.

But I moved quickly and patted his hand away.

I did not say anything and just look at that guy coldly.

As if being provoked he also glared back at me.

"What? Do you have a problem?" he said as he suddenly stood and came closer to my face.

I just look at this young man with a burly body. I did not want to cause trouble at this time as I did not want to alarm Lin Ting. I know that I am already close to his territory. If he knew that I am already here, then he might prepare and everything would become more troublesome.

"Hey… Hong Bin, take it easy, man… This guy is new, so he did not know the routine yet." the young man who took me in this place said while pushing the big guy away.

"I'm Qing Lao… and these are my friends and my teammates… This big guy here is Hong Bin, that beauty right there is Yan Yin, that thin one is Gin… we just call him Gin… Haha… and that other beauty is Jian Feili… and of course our fearless leader who is not present at the moment is… Yu Mantao."

When I heard that name a face immediately appears on my head. Yu Mantao is one of the culprits that are responsible for my death and abduction. She is one of the school beauties in my school and has something against Lin Qiao.

Suddenly a slight flashback appears on my head and at that time, people are surrounding me while holding knives and Yu Mantao was one of those people. But I noticed that her expression seems a bit different.

I did not notice it at that time, but now that I could recall it at will, I could tell that something is wrong with her expression.

Then I saw her seemingly walking towards me and then she stabbed me while saying in a low voice.

"Sorry… sorry…" she said while feeling a bit nauseated.

Then at this time I also noticed another face among the group which showed the same expression as her. Although they are among the people I wanted to get my revenge with, I now noticed this big difference.

Though I can recall it now, I still did not want to let my emotion be swayed. No matter what, they are still a part of the group which bullied me before. Those words they said to me while beating me up before the kidnapping. They have stepped on my pride but did not repent and instead did what they did to me and Lin Qiao. They belong to the same group of people.

"Hey man… Are you okay? By the way… What's your name?" suddenly the young man named Qing Lao asked.

"I'm Xin… just call me Xin," I said without showing any emotion.

"Ohhh… Mysterious eh… With your old jacket and face full of grease, I don't think you're anything in this city. Wait a minute… Are you from the outer wall? No way…" suddenly the young woman named Yan Yin said with an exaggerated expression.

Everyone immediately chuckled at her antics. Everyone in this flat seems to be my age. They are between 18 and 20.

But the atmosphere inside this room is a bit suffocating for me as the Qi inside is not pure. The presence of a narcotic substance in the air made it a little uncomfortable hence I decided to go outside.

"I'll be on the roof…" I said as I turn around and left.

Everyone was a bit stunned and then immediately chuckled.

"Hey, Qing Lao you've brought someone weird in here. Why did you do that? This is the first time I see you doing this. Well, except for those women that is… Hahaha…" Yan Yin teased.

Qing Lao sneered at her then turn his attention towards the roof. He was a bit curious why the guy was able to follow him even to their hideout. When he was running away from the authorities at that time, he did not expect to see the guy. But he felt a bit of pity for the young man especially when he saw his old jacket and dirty face.

But he was really surprised at the nimbleness of the guy which made him wanted to take him in and be a part of their group.

Having a sidekick is not that bad of an idea at that time.

But it seems that the guy is a bit cold and has a hard time getting along with others.

"Guys… don't tease him that much. I will get him back, I will tell you this, that guy is as good at parkour as me. So he will be useful in some of our gigs… Okay?"

"Hey, how do you know that we can trust him? I could see something bulging in his jacket maybe it's a kind of weapon?" the burly Hong Bin said.

"Weapon? If he has some weapon, then I could have already noticed it and his movements would not be that agile… I'm not an amateur you know…"

"Yeah… yeah… Whatever, go and get your lover back! Hihihi…" the quiet beauty Jian Feili said while giggling.

Her words made the rest of the people in the room laughed.

"Damn you, Feili…" Qing Lao cursed as he grumbled while going out of the window.

He went to the roof and tried to find Xin while thinking of what his friends told him. However, he is confident in his skill to tell people. He knew that the young guy is not someone with evil intentions. Hence he did not want to believe that he is someone dangerous.

As he climbs the stairs to the roof, he saw Xin washing his face on the faucet from the overhead water tank of the building.

Qin Lao was a bit stunned upon seeing his fit and well-toned muscles. Unlike Hong Bin who has bulging muscles, this guy looks different. His body is like the body of a model with fair skin and a handsome face.

Qin Lao shook his head as he feels disgusted by his thoughts.

"I'm a straight guy, damn it!" he thought as he diverted his attention towards the jacket hanging on the side.

Then he noticed a cardboard box inside of it.

"I guess that is the reason why Hong Bin thought that he has a weapon. It's actually a small cardboard box." Qin Lao thought as he walked near Xin Wei.

"Dude, you've washed up… You look like a proper person now… Haha…" Qin Lao chuckled.

"Thank you for accepting me in this place. But it seems that not many people live in here." Xin Wei asked.

"Of course, this is because this building is owned by Yu Mantao…" Qin Lao said with a smirk.

"Dude, you can stay here for a bit, this is not much but in this place, you can earn your keep and earn a living for yourself. It's rather good than just roaming aimlessly in the city right?" Qin Lao added as he patted Xin Wei's shoulder.
