As our eyes met, I immediately noticed the reaction of the man in front of me. He seems to have seen a ghost. And from what he is showing it seems that he knows who I am. As my brain has already advanced my memory has already been heightened a bit and soon I recall who this person in front of me is.

He is the man who held Lin Qiao at knifepoint at that time. And when she moved and tried to save me, it was his knife that cuts through her throat.

I could still remember how this man reacted when Lin Qiao lies on the ground dying. It was as if she was nothing to him. It's like he was stepping on an ant at that time.

Right at this moment, I did not know what happened as my mind suddenly snap. And I could feel the extreme rage inside my head. My desire has been ignited and all I can think of is to kill this man.

But I did not move, I look straight into his eyes and saw the madness and the lunacy within the heart of this man. I know that he is a person who does not value life but his own. And this has thoroughly strengthened my resolve.

I know that he is a person that should not be permitted to live anymore.

Well, you might ask, who am I to judge whom to kill? Or others will say that I have no right to take a life or get revenge on others.

However, there is one thing that men sometimes don't understand. Each of us has been given an agency to choose from. Either we choose to let our enemy roam free while the cries of our dead hunt us forever, or decide to act.

For me at this moment, I have already decided to act. I have been training for this… for this chance to avenge the blood that these people owed me.

The sound of two metals clashing together sounded through the ruined corridor.

Feng the Viper missed his chance to kill his target. And from the feeling in his knife, he knew that the person in front of him was able to block his attack.

"Hahaha… What a fool! Now that my strength is back, do you think you can still survive?" he suddenly shouted as he lifted the rifle hanging on his side and pointed it nozzle to Xin Wei's direction.

But before he could press the trigger...

The sound of a gunshot echoed through the air.

"My finger! You… your shot my finger! You son of a… Graaahhh! I will kill you!" he shouted as he grabs his hand trying to stop the bleeding.

"Is this all you got?" the young man said with a teasing tone.

"Damn you! Damn it! You're dead!" Feng the Viper shouted as he once again grabs his knife and attacked.

The sound of a knife cutting through the air could be heard as Xin Wei dodges. Feng the Viper continuously attacks as he tries to hit the young man who agilely dodges his every strike.

However, after a couple of exchanges, he felt that his strength is getting weaker and weaker by the minute.

"Damn it… What… What is happening?" he said while he stopped feeling his body numbing and becoming paralyzed.

Then he noticed a sharp object that looks like a piece of wire in the hands of his opponent.

The piece of metal wire is dripping with blood which immediately alarmed Feng.

"You… What… what have you done to me?" he asked while feeling his senses slowly coming back.

"I did something in your body that you will truly like," I said with a smile.

"I poke some of your acupoints with this metal wire. And because of its size and your adrenaline pumping, you are unable to feel it entering your body. So you think that you did not receive any damage from me." I said as I walk to the side and look at the broken window.

"The effect of what I did is a bit interesting… you see, it will first inhibit your senses and will dull your pain. The feeling of numbness throughout your body was the first effect. Then the second one is paralysis. That is because your system has been receiving the wrong signal from your veins." I explained as I pick up a rifle on the ground.

Then I hang it on my shoulder and also took some ammunition and put it in my pockets extra pockets. Then I look at him and continue explaining.

"The last stage is the most interesting part. Because all of the pain in your body will simultaneously send their signal in your brain and in truth, this should put you into a shock and you lose consciousness or die. His hand is shaking as if he is trying to stop himself from doing anything and is feeling helpless.

Hehe… I don't want your compassion… I just don't like seeing someone getting raped in front of me, that's all…" he said with a stubborn smirk before he fell down on the ground and died.

As he stopped breathing, blood began to pour out from all over the holes in his body.

I look at the lifeless man in front of me. I now realized what really happened. Though I was a bit grateful for what he did, I still could not accept her death. The pain is still there, and no matter what this guy says, he is still the one who killed Lin Qiao in the end.

I did not want to linger in this place anymore. I still have a lot of snakeheads to hunt and I know that the fun is just getting started.

Inside the monitoring room, the expression of everyone inside the room is complicated. Feng the Viper is their leader along with Andy the Maniac and Fian the Venom Queen. However, for the people who belong to the Blue Serpent Gang, Feng the Viper holds the greatest respect and was treated as their true leader.

Plus his strength and speed are unlike any others. He is called the viper for a reason, he strikes really fast and his deadly accuracy is crazy.

But that man died in the hands of a mere boy. And it seems that their leader knew who that boy is.

Meanwhile, Fian has already picked up her phone and started to dial a number. When the other line picks up her call, she immediately said with a panicked voice.

"Bo… Boss… Feng… Feng is already dead… He… He encounters someone that he knew."

'Did you have a recording of that battle?' the voice on the other end asked.

But before she could say anything, a large hand grabs her phone and ended the call.

Then that hand crushed the phone into pieces.

"Are you insane?!" shouted Fian as she glared at the bulky man beside her.

"Haha… Fian… Oh, Fian… What a stupid bitch you are. Don't you know what this situation means?" Andy the Maniac said while shaking his head.

"What are you saying you, stupid buffoon?"

"I mean… if that kid really knew who our boss is, it means that he has a grudge against him. If we take care of that pipsqueak then we can get a promotion and be transfer to another… Serpent Gang or higher… right?"

Upon hearing this, the eyes of Fian glowed and she showed an interested gaze at the burly man.

"Haha… For once, I have discovered that you too sometimes have some brains… I really wanted to give you a kiss right now." she said with a loud chuckle while licking her sexy green lips.

When Andy the Maniac heard this, his body suddenly shivered.

"Who would want to be kissed by you? I would rather die by a bullet or by a blade than suffer your poison." He thought.

The two of them began to plan out how to trap their enemy who is coming their way.

While they are planning, a blaring sound suddenly rings inside the headquarters which woke everyone up. This is because… this sound clearly says that they are under attack by some enemy.

Everyone began to scuttle as they ran towards their posts. They scanned their surroundings and reported to the monitoring room of the situation outside.

In one of the lookout points, a man is cautiously looking outside through a small window.

"This is outpost Sigma, we are clear here…" the man said calmly without shaking in his voice.

When he released the radio, he swallowed a mouthful of saliva. On his neck is a sharp knife ready to cut it off.

"Umn… I… I already did what you ask of me. Please… Please spare my life." he said with a shaky voice.

On the ground inside the lookout point, there are two lifeless bodies lying in a pool of blood. The man did not want to die just like his companions, that's why he dare not make a sudden move.

The person behind him is like a ghost who easily killed them without them even making a single move or even fires their gun. The two of them died in almost an instant.

Suddenly the person behind him grabs him and inserted something at the back of his neck.

The pain almost made him pass out, but he soon recovered.

"I have inserted something in your veins… in two hours as long as you did not move out of this place or tell others what happened here, you will live. But if you as much as report the situation in here, then you can only blame yourself for dying." The young man said with a smirk.

He then turns around and left without the man even knowing.

I infiltrated the base easily as I sneak inside of it. I caught one of the armed men and then put on his vest and weapons. I decided to hide and leave the bag of weapons I was carrying in the building where Xiao Rin is currently hiding.

When she woke up, she was a bit distraught and angry that I used her as bait. But after explaining to her that we were already discovered at that time and that if I did not do anything, we would both die, she seems to have calmed down a bit.

So, in entering this place, I only have a knife and a handgun.

Now that I have successfully entered, I have gotten myself an old AK47 rifle and some magazines. The guy I grabbed seemed to be a low member of this base. Because of his old weapon, but this is already good enough for me to be able to enter this place unnoticed.

I went through a corridor while dodging some people following my senses. I soon arrive in a room where there are many guards standing in the corridor. It is clear that the rooms behind them hold great significance to the base.

"Bingo…" I muttered.

As I turn on a corner, I suddenly smell a strange scent in the air.

I followed the scent and soon arrive in front of a room with a small glass window.

Upon casually peeking inside I saw a beautiful mature woman lying on the sofa while reading a book. She slowly wipes the tears in her eyes and suddenly mumbled to herself.

"Why are they still keeping me in here? When are they going to let me go? My family has already paid for my ransom… Those despicable bastards… Huhu…" she cried pitifully while her long lush hair covers part of her face.

I could not clearly see who the woman is, but I feel that she seem to be somewhat pitiful. I carefully checked the door and it seems that it is locked from the outside. So it means that she was locked inside this room by someone.

"Maybe someone wanted to keep her and not let her go." I thought.

Though I feel that the woman seems pitiful, I have not time to be a hero. I still have to hunt down the two remaining leaders of this base. Without the head of the base and after destroying the communication relay of this place, it would turn this place chaotic.

With that in mind, I wanted to leave, but who would have known that the woman would suddenly turn around and look at the door.

"Hello! Is someone there?" she said in a low and shaky voice.

I hid on the side of the door not wanting to peek inside anymore. I know that it is impossible for the woman to know that I am in here. My movement is silent that even the beasts in the forest would not be able to detect me approaching, how could a mere normal human find me?

However, it seems that my conjecture is wrong. This is because; she suddenly stood up from the sofa and approached the door.

"Hey… I know that someone is out there… Please… Please help me." She shouted.

I was a bit scared by her action as I did not want others to know my location. I was kneeling on the side of the door to prevent anyone from seeing me, but this woman seems to be sensing my presence. I don't know how she did it, and I was a bit baffled.

I look around and then slowly stood up.

"I know that someone is there. Please… please help me… you guys have imprisoned me here, but my family has already paid the ransom. Please… please help me open the door. I will… I will give you anything… I… I can even give you… give you myself. Just let me go." She said with a shy blush on her face.

I did not know what to say at this time and looks at the doorknob. I extended my hand and with a twist, I easily broke the knob and the lock snapped open.

As the door is already open, the woman who is inside suddenly showed a crying face. She looks down and slowly approached me.

She is wearing a thin and a bit skimpy dress which shows her milky white skin. From one look, one can tell that she seems to have been kept inside this room for a while now.

The woman showed a shy look and then said in a low voice.

"Is… is it okay if… if I just kiss you for now? I will… I will give you what you wanted once we get out of this place." She said in a shy tone.

Her reaction, expression, and voice truly can gain pity for those who are listening and looking at her. Plus her revealing look can make a man's body burn in passion especially those long and tender-looking legs.
