The speed of the bullet was really fast as it soared through the air flying towards its target.

Guns are one of mankind's most powerful inventions that have changed the world of warfare. Because of it, the world became a peaceful place and at the same time very chaotic.

The balance was established as the strong and the weak can now wield the same power and ability to destroy each other. And this has caused the world to be at peace… for now.

A gun has a terrifying ability to kill its target easily in one shot or two. However, it has a weakness, and that weakness is that bullets fly in a straight line. Very predictable and easily dodged for those who are experts and have fast reflexes.

Right at this moment, as the bullet flew towards Xin Wei, with just blinks of an eye, as if he did not move on his spot, it missed him.

But for those who did not see him move or those who have slow reflexes they thought that he was hit by the bullet.

Lee Wanwan just stood there frozen as she did not expect that Dongfang Lin would shoot his gun. Plus it was just a bystander, why would he kill someone unrelated to them? This made her angry, but she could not do anything about it as she is now in a pinch facing two large men with strength surpassing hers.

"Get her… we have to leave this place immediately. I want to enjoy this woman as soon as possible." Dongfang Lin said with a sinister smile while licking his lips.

"You dare! I would rather die fighting than be raped by you…" Lee Wanwan shouted as she suddenly charges towards one of the burly men.

Seeing her fighting spirit and feisty personality, Donggang Lin sneered. He expected this woman to not yield and would fight back, so he decided to teach her a lesson.

Bang!

A bullet flew towards her left thigh.

Everything happened really fast, and Dongfang Lin now wears a confident smile on his face and did not bother to check if the bullet hits its target as he is confident of his shooting skill.

"Take her!" he shouted as he has already turned his gaze to the car.

He is confident of ability and knew that the feisty woman is already disabled. He could not wait to enjoy her even though her leg is wounded. Then he might just throw her somewhere or sell her to some brothels while trying to blackmail her family and clan.

However, he has already walked towards the car, and soon he noticed that he seem to not have heard any movements from his two subordinates.

As soon as he turns around, his eyes went wide in disbelief.

As I saw the pompous-looking young man with the lascivious expression slowly turning around and looking at me with a shocked expression, I showed a disdainful smile.

"You're a scum… truly a scum… I really hate people like you!" I shouted as I carefully put down the young woman in my arms on the ground.

When this person shot the young woman, I knew that if I did not act immediately she would be in trouble. Hence, I decided to help.

With my speed, I am able to easily get her out of danger and then take care of those two goons by throwing sharp-pointed sticks on their movement acupoints.

They are now frozen on the spot and could not move.

I look at the pompous young man and then said.

"Since you are willing to kill, then don't blame others if they kill you," I said that with an angry gaze then I suddenly throw three pebbles I have casually picked from the ground.

My emotion at this time is a bit turbulent because I really hate these kinds of people. My desire to kill is overflowing all over my body.

The pebbles flew and hit the guy's hand holding the gun, his shoulder, and the lower part of his stomach. This has caused him to vomit blood and pass out while flying towards the parked car.

His figure crashed on the car's window and shattered it.

I then shifted my gaze at the young woman who is showing astonishment in her eyes. When I saw her reaction, my expression changes as I seem to have calmed down.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

As I look closely at the woman and I realized that my conjecture was correct. She was the woman I saw in the forest many months ago, the one who is with a group of students and a teacher and almost got raped and sold.

"Tha… Thank you… Thank you, for saving me." She said with a shaking voice.

I just showed her a slight smile and nodded my head.

"I am going to the nearest city… Will you be able to go home on your own?"

The woman did not reply but shifted her gaze towards the two burly men.

"Don't worry… they will suffer that same fate as their master. They will slowly bleed internally… and suffer a very painful death." I casually said while glaring at those two men who are now showing a pained appearance.

I suddenly noticed the woman seem to have shivered upon hearing my words. But I did not mind her.

As I stayed in the forest, my resolve was already hardened and I have already decided to be cruel to those who are cruel towards me, mercy is not an option anymore for me. And for those that do horrible things to others, I will be their judge, jury, and executioner.

And so as I looking at the two burly men, I knew that I should not spare them or they would bring me more trouble.

"I'm... I'm Lee Wanwan... Can… Can I have your name?" the woman suddenly asked with a tone of reluctance and fear.

"Wei… just call me Wei."

"Wei... Brother Wei... can I call you that? You seem strong... How did you do that back there?"

I did not answer her but just showed her a faint smile. She did not ask anymore questions after that.

The two of us pushed the car, with those three people inside, to the side of the road towards the thickest part of the shrubberies. Since this is a road rarely used by any vehicles or people, we would need to walk for a few kilometers before gaining access to the main highway.

Lee Wanwan has already changed her clothes and is wearing a black leather jacket we found inside the car.

Since her phone was taken and was broken by those thugs, and I did not show her the phone I was keeping, as I did not want it traced, we just decided to try and hitch a ride from any vehicles that might pass.

The two of us walked in silence until we reached the main road where we began to wave our hands to tried to get a ride.

Suddenly, a dark blue sedan stopped by the roadside.

A middle-aged man who is sitting by the driver's seat got off and greeted the two of us.

"The two of you seem to have met some trouble in the forest." He said with a smile while looking in the direction where we came from.

"Yes, Uncle… we left most of our stuff in the forest but were able to get out safely. I hope that you can let us get a ride to the city… from there we can just take the cab to our house." Lee Wanwan said with a smile.

"Haha… Miss Lee is too polite. I actually recognize you…" the middle-aged man said with a gentle smile.

"Oh! Uncle, do you know me?"

"Yes, of course… My master is an acquaintance of your father. Come… Let me bring you home… Oh, by the way, this young man is?..."

"Ah, this is my friend, Brother Wei…"

"Ah… Young man Wei seems to be also from a clan being friends with Miss Lee. This old man greets young master Wei."

I gave the middle-aged man a polite bow then replied.

"You are too humble, uncle… We really wanted to thank you for helping us." I didn't want to explain anything about myself, so I just said as such.

We walk to the car and I ride shotgun while Lee Wanwan hops at the back of the vehicle. I then noticed a beautiful blonde lady sitting at the back who showed a smile when she saw Lee Wanwan.

"Jenny! It's you!"

"Sister Wanwan… I never would have expected to see you in this place. What were you doing here?" the blonde lady said showing a hint of concern and happiness at the same time.

"Sigh… I… I encountered some trouble in the forest…" Lee Wanwan said not talking about those people we left in there.

"And him?..." the blonde woman asked while pouting her lips towards me.

"Ah… this is brother Wei… he helped me. No, actually he saved me." Lee Wanwan said with a blush on her face.

"Oh, that's good then..."

I did not listen to their conversation and just put my large backpack on my lap as I sit quietly after fastening my seatbelt.

"I'm Jenny Shi… or Shi Jenny… Nice meeting you Brother Wei." suddenly the blonde young woman said towards me.

"It is nice meeting you Miss Jenny…" I also greeted politely.

Then the four of us travel down the highway towards the city. Looking outside I could tell that we are nearing another city. This is City F, which is a little distance away from City H. I never would have expected that I would travel this far by foot while looking for a place rich in Qi.

I knew that this is the city where I will start to gather information and begin preparation for my revenge.

While traveling, I listened to the two girls talking with my eyes closed. From their conversation, I learned that a lot of things have happened in City H. I now know that City H in just one year is now referred to as the most dangerous place in the country.

Even the military seems to be unable to stop the corruption and vileness in that place. Upon hearing this, my heart began to burn with the desire to go there. But going there right now is like heading to battle without any preparation.

I knew that I have to prepare first. Since my strength is somewhat enough, all I need is to gather more information before I begin my hunt.

Capítulo 14: The Lee family of City F

Chapter 14

"No… please don't leave me…" cried the woman as she slumps down on the ground.

Everything looks dark and the only dim light is towards the woman who is crying and trying to beg while looking in my direction.

As I turn my gaze at the woman, I suddenly noticed her eyes.

Those eyes… those eyes seemed sad and in a lot of pain.

"Please… it's dark in here. Please help me! Don't leave me…" she cried.

I tried to look at the crying woman but could not recognize her face as it is covered with her greasy-looking unkempt hair.

Suddenly, I saw a woman lying on the ground while blood is slowly gushing out of her throat and started to pool on the ground.

Every detail of the scene made my hair stand on end as I feel my body tensing up. I knew who that woman is… Lin Qiao. Yes, she is Lin Qiao. Then her head suddenly turns in my direction and I saw a disfigured face with missing eyeballs looking at me.

She suddenly opens her mouth and maggots came out in droves.

"Why did you leave me!" Lin Qiao's shrill voice filled my ears as I feel pain in my heart.

"Huh!" I suddenly found myself waking up with my body drenched in sweat.

I am currently inside the car traveling on the road. I could see that we have already entered the city and are currently traveling towards a place where many luxurious houses.

Then I noticed the car entering a large estate with many well-kept vegetation and trees.

The car was checked by a guard, but upon seeing Lee Wanwan, they let the car enter the compound where a huge 3 story modern mansion stood like a looming mountain.

Lee Wanwan got off the car along with me and the blonde young woman, Shi Jenny.

Then from inside the huge mansion, a person came out. I saw a handsome-looking middle-aged man walking towards us and suddenly greeted Lee Wanwan.

"Young Miss you have returned…" the middle-aged man who looks like the butler of the house greeted with a bow.

"Thank you, uncle… These are my friends… This is Shi Jenny… and this is Brother Wei."

When the butler saw Shi Jenny, he showed a courteous smile but frowned upon looking at me.

I could almost see the disgust in the middle-aged man's eyes even though he is trying to hide it from everyone's eyes.

The three of us followed the butler and entered the luxurious mansion. When we were about to reach the main entrance were greeted by a number of people.

Out of all those people, a beautiful woman in her early 40's suddenly came running towards Lee Wanwan. From the features of the woman, I could see the semblance of her and Lee Wanwan.

"Oh, my daughter! I thought I would have lost you…" she said while crying as she hugged Lee Wanwan.

Then she suddenly shifted her gaze to the few people behind her. I for one already heard some of the conversations they were having before we arrive. Those people behind are slandering Lee Wanwan and are saying bad things about her while insulting her mother.

When they appear I could see them showing sneers on their faces with others showing disgust while looking at Lee Wanwan. I didn't want to interfere at this time, so I just decided to watch and see what would happen next. But then suddenly in my heart, I could somewhat see those same faces as if they are the same people who had caused my suffering. It's like I could see their faces merge with those people from Lee Wanwan's family.

A tall young man suddenly steps forward while looking at Lee Wanwan with a smirk on his face.

"Hihi… Cousin… we were worried when that bastard Dongfang Lin called Grandpa. He said that he is going to make you his woman… Ai… This is really bad for the reputation of our Lee clan. I think it is better if you become the young madam of the Dongfang family to wash away this shame." The young man said with an expression of mocking as if he is trying to prevent himself from laughing.

"Lee Baitong! How dare you talk like that to your cousin? She has already suffered this much and you dare mock her? She's been shamed and has already lost her dignity… why add salt to her wound?" a middle-aged woman suddenly said while reprimanding the young man.

She then smiled apologetically at Lee Wanwan's mother as if she is sorry for what the young man said.

This made Lee Wanwan's mother glared at the woman and almost erupt in anger. She knew that these two, mother and child, are trying to insult her daughter.

But Lee Wanwan held her mother back while patting her hand.

"Hihi… Aunt… I'm just saying that since she has already been sullied she should just obey her husband to be…"

When he said this I could see the people behind him suddenly discussed in a hushed tone as if agreeing with the young man's suggestion.

"Enough! Are you guys trying to shame our family?" a deep voice coming from inside the mansion, suddenly boomed.

Everyone showed a hint of fear upon hearing that voice.

Then from inside the house, I could see an old man slowly walks out followed by a few middle-aged men. His phoenix eyes and sword-like brows made him look dignified and brimming with power and authority. Although he looks old, everyone in the family knew how strong this old man is.

As an ancient family, the Lee clan has deep roots all over the country. The clan in City F is just a part of their huge clan. Now that the old man came out, everyone immediately bowed and showed a respectful stance towards him.

Those two who are slandering Lee Wanwan suddenly showed fear in their eyes.

Although they wanted to pull Lee Wanwan down and shame her, they did not expect that the old man would intervene in this situation.

They always thought that the old man did not care in this trifling matter of the family. And that he would only care for the most important business of the family.

So, how could they know what the old man is thinking?

As soon as the old man walks out of the house, his gaze was directed to the two beautiful figures hugging each other. When his eyes landed on Lee Wanwan, he immediately showed pity on his wizened face.

Then suddenly, his eyes shifted towards Xin Wei who is standing behind the two. Though he standing behind them in a low-key manner, the wizen old man is very experienced in dealing with experts. And right now, as his eyes landed on Xin Wei, he could somewhat feel that he is looking at a top predator. That predator is creeping behind his prey waiting for them to make a mistake.

This is the reason why he intervened. If those two foolish juniors of his family made a mistake and offended this figure, he fears that half of his family would suffer. And he could not let that happen.

I look at the old man and just gestured a polite nod towards his direction.

When the old man saw this, he suddenly showed a faint smile and also nodded his head.

However, it seems that some of the juniors in the old man's family were too pampered that they did not notice his reaction.

The young man whose name is Lee Baitong seems to be unsatisfied with the result of his provocation. He suddenly glared at Lee Wanwan, and when our eyes met, I could tell that this person has some bad scheme in his mind.

He suddenly pointed at me and in an exaggerated manner, he suddenly covered his mouth while saying.

"She seems to have picked some homeless bastard… I think she's not satisfied with the young master of the Dongfang clan that she brought back a boy toy…"

His voice is not that loud, but everyone could hear him. Then their gazes landed on me.

In fact, everyone has already seen me but did not bother to notice me. Upon hearing the words of Lee Baitong everyone began to whisper to each other.

"What… after getting raped, she would do such a thing?"

"That person really looks like a homeless person…"

"Look at his messy hair and his old clothes… this is truly a shame in our Lee clan…"

That spoiled young master from the family seems to be grabbing this chance to pull Lee Wanwan into the gutter.

The old man knew that if this rumor spreads, then the shame would affect Lee Wanwan's reputation and the family. From what I could see, Lee Wanwan's father might be holding a position in the clan that many coveted. So if his daughter is shamed like this, then they could raise this concern to pull him down.

I could see that the old man wanted to make a move, but I did not let him. I wanted to teach this ignorant fool a lesson. I really hate people like him. It really ticks me that my blood began to boil while looking at his twisted expression.

With my strength and power, I now fear no one. So how could I fear such a person?

I began to think about what should be done...

With a step, I would suddenly appear in front of that fool of a young master.

I could immediately tell the expression of everyone who would suddenly notice me appearing in front of that young man.

I could see them looking at me like they have just seen a ghost.

As I smirked, I could see the young man's expression turning from surprise into horror.
