His mother told him to tell her about the nightmare and Fu Jie started narrating everything that had happened to him after he entered the final level of the crimson sky.
He told her about the annoying Bai Ling who had been the reason why he was dragged there and she laughed as she nodded, agreeing with him as if she also knew how annoying Bai Ling could get.
Fu Jie also told her all about the various disciples that he had met including Tang An and Shao Yan who looked up to Liu Fu Jie for some reason.
His mother didn't bother saying anything in between and she simply hummed as she rested her chin on the palm of her hand, tilting her head ever so slightly as she kept listening to him attentively.
Since the chapter was so depressing, here's a little fun fact:
The one who was supposed to die in this arc was Xiao Jingyi (In the plot outline at least) But then I changed it last minute because I felt that Xiao Jingyi's death would be a bit meaningless.
Fu Jie: So you decided to kill the MC instead...?!
Cherry: *nods* That's right.
Fu Jie: Is there a brain inside your skull or is it all empty up there?!
Cherry:...
Cherry: This is why I liked the idea of killing you more than killing Xiao Jingyi.
Fu Jie:...
