Capítulo 111: The sad truth

At long last, they were given a break to go home and refresh for a few days. Raf had agreed to see her this weekend, freeing his schedule at the same time as hers. Finally, they would be seeing each other again. She could not wait. 

The phone calls were not enough anymore to satisfy her longing for him. She needed to reconnect with him or she feared that she might lose him for good. The last calls they made this past few days were slowly becoming generic. They were almost finding it hard to find new topics to talk about.

"What time is your flight?" She asked the night before she was due to go home. She wanted to be ready when he arrived.

"I'm not sure yet because I still have a meeting in the morning, but I am hoping to be there by dinner," Raf answered her. 

He was supposed to leave early but a last-minute emergency meeting was scheduled, which he could not get out of.
