Capítulo 50: The devil's son
A group of around ninety men surrounded the training grounds with spears, swords and at the roofs others equiped with crossbows. Looking at the combat formation the leaders had come up with, Hedrick slightly smiled and then went back to seat down on his seat as he poured himself a glass of wine.
" Better surrender, You have been fully surrounded." a commander shouted but seemed to be ignored like he never existed.
When the leaders saw how their commander was being ignored, rage began Sagging up within them.
" Did you hear? The commander has said that you better stop your plots and surrender. Maybe we can consider leaving your body as a whole." one of the vice commander shouted.
Hedrick slowly raised his head and looked at the before saying.
" Which teacher trained this dog? Do dogs nowadays always bark at anyone they see?" with a sigh, he poured down a cup of wine down his throat and placed the cup down.
" You idiot! What did you say? I'll make yoh regret why you were born." Having said that, the man suddenly ran forward as he attacked towards Hedrick. But before he could even reach, he stepped on a brick activating the slaughter formation. Not minding much about what had happened, the man continued advancing forward as more traps were triggered.
Around five ropes were broken as two big rock boulders surfaced crushing two bandits as blood flowed from under the boulders. The other three fell onto the metal poles with spikes as they were pierced through and died in pain.
Loud screams of caused the man who was attacking to stop and look around. In front of him, the Devil's Smile on Hedrick caused his heart to skip a beat. He felt something was wrong from the moment he attacked but could not tell what it is. Looking around on his left and right, the gazes that the leaders cast onto him was filled with pain and anger. It was as though they wished they could tear him to pieces. Five of his brothers were dead. Two rocks had chunks of fresh meat with block at the sides while the other three had blood flowing out of their body at every point the spikes had penetrated. A feeling of regret, surged into him making him feel bitter. When he looked at Hedrick who was smiling at him, he felt like the devil was not as terrifying as the person before him. Regardless of if the person before him was the devil or son of the devil or not, he was going to tear him into pieces to avenge his dead brothers.
As the man gripped his sword ready to attack, a sound of arrows passed through the air as they struck him right through his chest. Looking down at the arrows that had penetrated through his chest and heart. The man felt life was a joke, one step can lead you to death. With the sound of a sword falling, the man's body slowly fell to the ground causing another trap to be triggered. With that, arrows passed through the eyes and limbs of a bandit noting killing him straight away but blood flowed out slowly. If not saved, he would die in pain and lose of blood.
"Little Lau and Len,what did you decide on my proposal?"
On hearing the comment, Lau's and Len's hearts skipped a beat.The Devil's Son before them was really terrifying. Even his words seemed to be a death sentence Everytime he spoke.
" Well! Can't you change to something else?" asked Lau in his feminine voice.The voice had seriously changed,it was no longer as confident as it had been before. It was rather shakey and filled with fear.
" Since you seem sincere, I'll change the rules on your behalf."
" But the next task I'm going to give you seems to be rather harder and more complicated compared to the previous one. I would advise you to take some elders and Green if possible."
" Who's Green?"asked Len.
" Aaa... you don't even know Green. Seems your fathers have kept a lot of things from you two. But anyways it's not bad if I told you a few things." said Hedrick as he looked towards the two.
" I'm sure you just think of this home of yours as a bandit base. It's understandable since it's what most people know. Two years ago, a heavy crisis hit this camp as the Demonic beasts came out all of a sudden and began attacking this base.Many people began dying while others became demonized causing the to begin killing their own.At that time,it was a great struggle for this base.Good enough, you two had been taken three years back to do training in the Scorpion Organization Zone. Since your base had been on friendly terms with the Scorpion Organization,an official came here and discussed with your fathers on how to handle the situation. Some terms were discussed and most matters kept private. When the official left, your fathers had some disagreements making the base to be divided into two factions. The reason I didn't know but found out after I entered this camp and studied it for sometime. After the official left and fathers finally agreed, the camp was officially placed under the Scorpion Organization secretly. In exchange, the organization provided security and the Demonic beasts were killed and demonized people taken away. Also one of the top assassins from the Scorpion was sent to protect your fathers.The Assassin goes by the code name Green." Having said the name, a young girl seemed to appear out of nowhere and looked directly into Hedrick's eyes as she narrowed her eyes trying to size him up.
" Holy shit! Who would have thought Green was a young girl of eighteen years. Green's record of assassination says that she began the job at the age of ten. Out of all her assassination, he failed only two because the guards had a higher cultivation than her causing her targets to flee safely but were killed a month later. She talks less and does more action. She rarely shows up and only shows up on two occasions.One is when she is in front of her teacher and other time is when she has a job to do."
