"Dad, this isn't the time to talk about it," Oliver said and then I realised what was even going on.

"No. I'm dying, Oliver. If not now, when do I tell him? You'll never tell him, I know."

"Dad!"

"Skyemoone, come here."

Now, curiosity made me turn around and take a few steps towards Mars. My family's past like a surprise opened my eyes to a new truth. A truth I never knew.

"Your mother, how shall I say it," Mars began to say, reminding me of my mother. The woman who gave me too much love. Remembering her was hard and painful. Perhaps that was why I had always said I had no past.

"Keep talking," I said, feeling the tears trying not to give me away, just not now.

"Your mother, I loved her. After your father, your mother was with me. We used to see each other sometimes and spend time together. Those were the happiest moments of my life."

"Wait, what do you mean after my father?"
