Capítulo 13: They're Alive! [1]

The Werewolf Castle

The castle was quiet as always but the warlocks residing there weren't quiet. Tey were all prepping for the full moon that would be in two days. A lot had been going in since the werewolves had abandoned the packs for human lives.

These warlocks were desperate for a sign that everything would be restored; everyone was depending on them, including the rogues. They had all been waiting for this moment for all those years. They were hoping the eighteenth pain wouldn't be so bad, or maybe this would be their first relief.

None of them knew what to expect, especially since their true rulers were never sighted yet. But they would soon be, hopefully.

The throne room had grown dustier by the day, not that anyone was ever able to open the doors. But using their sight, the warlocks were able to see the conditions in there.

The days had been lonelier as time went by, but in the midst of that loneliness, the royal green book, or as it was called, the werewolf bible, started lighting up. This was either a good thing or bad, but whichever choice it was, they would know that soon enough. But it seemed like the natural order wouldn't stay disrupted for long.

When the green book lit up, everyone felt it.

The connection of the werewolf community was once again being dimly lit. While some had been used t the human lives they were living, all of them wanted to go back to what it all was like before. This was a sign and they would not take it lightly.

The warlocks at the castle were impressed. It was like a race was happening right before the. They had believed all those years that the savors would come again someday, but they're just hoping, and in a world where anything would happen, hoping was just one of the things that had negative possibilities.

Maybe they were too excited, maybe they were too invested in the illusion of hope, but maybe, just maybe, this time they would be right.

Maybe this time everything would be okay. Finally, everything would be okay it was all just a hypothesis at the moment, but they still needed to confirm it.

They needed to make certain that it was a warning of a future they were never going to have.

They needed to make certain that this was truly happening, they had to make sure that they were not hallucinating lighting of the book. Maybe then they would finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief. There on the ancient table, the old book was lighting up on its own.

It was something that happened just once in millions of years. But maybe the millionth year had been hit, and they had to face the current reality, they had to accept it.

The warlocks, despite being that excited, were scared that someone else was tapering with the book. After all, not all warlocks had stayed after the attack maybe this was not a good sign for them, but who should be able to tell them that?

"Should we open it? It looks like there's something wrong with it. But maybe I am just overthinking." The first warlock said.

He was anxious to know that it was really happening, but also scared. Having lived in a supernatural world, anything was to be expected. It was easier to die just by opening a book more than having a gun pointed at your head. Those were two different things ad their hesitance was acceptable.

"maybe we shouldn't really isn't it. We need to really make sure that it had no harm first because if it does, then we might as well consider our wold gone, and done with." As the second warlock warned.

If this was going to happen then they needed to be certain that they were safe. They couldn't just wake up, and make the lives of their whole community miserable just because of their curiosity, something they were never going to be able to quench anytime soon.

They needed to be certain about this, and a lot more, and the only thing they were seeing right now was one of the red alerts in the werewolf community.
