"Stupid."
I murmured, lifting my hand slightly, and a soft rustling noise followed when I reached Marvel's shoulder. One pulling made him fall to his knees as I hugged him. Surprised and much more confused, he instinctively held onto the bed for support after failing to predict my move.
"I just wanted to tease you a bit to console myself, but you were already so hopeless…"
The person I was hugging depended on who he talked to. He could be anything from badass to vulnerable, albeit with a new emotion in each situation.
Having recovered from the unexpected, Marvel sighed in relief, hugging me back tightly, his face on my neck. Once he held me, once we were close, my fear, my hesitation, they began to crumble. It was when I knew a slight touch was so powerful for me already so weak.
The stupid one was me. I was so focused on my own pain that I forgot his warm embrace was the most comfort I would ever need.
