Maverick paces inside his office room. What had he done? How could he have burst out on her like that? He had worked so hard to stay calm and determined but he lost it today. 

Katherine was being a pain in the ass. As much as he loathed her... she was still the key to his crown. He was the one to plot the idea in his stepdad's mind to get him married into an influential family whereas he takes care of the business meanwhile. 

It was all to gain his father's trust but if David actually marries into that family...
