Suki could be seen walking past people who would glance at her.
"Poor girl."
"How cruel."
"Far too young for such a thing."
These were the common things that she heard from people that she passed by. It is expected of course. Even if a civilian clan would have been eliminated, the news would travel all over the village and everyone would know about it by the end of the week.
Now, when it is one of the founding clans who had over half of their clan members as Chunin or above suddenly eliminated, the village would know by the end of the next day.
Suki didn't acknowledge them or their responses, seeing no need to since they're civilians and likely only see her as a little girl who was lucky to survive the Massacre. Thinking that she must be devastated over it since it happened so suddenly.
But that is far from the truth. She had known about it for years. Some may wonder if she knew about it for so long, why did she break down?
Simple: Knowledge and experience are two different worlds of pain. Everyone knows that everyone will eventually die. That's a fact that very few people try to challenge, for good reason. To defy death is to defy the Shinigami, a being Suki knows is real based on the Dead Demon Consuming Jutsu that the Fourth Hokage used to seal the Nine tails at the cost of his soul belonging to the Shinigami completely, not entering the reincarnation cycle.
Then, there's experience. Cutting straight to the point, everyone knows their parents are likely to die before them, and some can even know how much time they have left. They can prepare for the moment for months, but that doesn't change the fact that someone you have known your entire life is now gone. You'll never be able to talk to them, see their smile, laugh at their corny jokes, or listen to their stories again. It's like losing part of you.
Suki knew they would die, but she grew up knowing that Kazuma was her father. Someone who always worried if she was happy, helped her when she had problems either academically or practically, and someone she knew would always be on her side. He became a safety net.
A net that snapped, leaving Suki a clear view of the hard ground below if she takes a misstep.
She continued walking.
"Doesn't she hang around that demon?" Someone whispered.
That caused her steps to falter.
"Really? So he couldn't stop at just us, but had to terrorize another person of our village." An elder muttered.
"I bet this is his fault. Used some kind of demon magic."
She clenched her fists hard.
"Hey, idiots, she's an academy student." Someone told them.
"And?"
"And she can likely hear you two."
The two people looked over at her, only to gulp.
Suki had turned her head towards them with a fierce glare with her Sharingan activated due to her anger.
After a second or two passed, she turned away from them, her eyes returning to their black color.
She resumed walking again towards the hospital.
'Those idiots. Can't tell the difference between a sealing scroll and a kunai.' She thought.
Not much else happened on her walk since most people were either at work, out at lunch, which isn't close to the hospital or staying at home.
As she arrived she couldn't help but look at it.
The hospital is a three story building as wide as a school and about half as long. The front had the entrance with a red circle with the kanji for medicine in it hanging above the entrance. On both sides of the entrance, it had three windows per floor, giving a total of 18 windows on the front of the building. It also had a blue slanted roof.
She walked up to the door and opened it, finding a small waiting room with a middle aged woman at the counter and a few younger people walking around, doing something with some files.
Suki walked up to the counter and coughed, getting the woman's attention.
"Hello dear, and who are you?"
She was confused on how she didn't know before realizing that her clan emblem was only on the back at the moment so there wasn't much identifying her.
She looked her in the eyes before shifting her eyes, causing the woman's eyes to widen. Suki disabled them not long after.
"My name is Suki Uchiha. Two days ago, I was told there was another survivor but that he was found unconscious. I wanted to see him if I was allowed to." She told.
She asked if she could see him because she knows that the few hospitals she's heard of typically wanted only people the patient knows. They can find out based on asking a nurse if the patient knows said person or were expecting a visit.
"O-Of course!" She exclaimed before coughing, returning to her professional mentality. "Lord Third told the staff that you may come down to see him and we could let you as long as he was stable."
Suki nodded before asking for the room number.
"He is in room 208 on the second floor." She told her.
After thanking her, Suki walked down a hallway that leads towards the stairs. She walked up the stairs before looking at the nearby walls.
"'201-220 <-- --> 221-240' To the left." She muttered aloud before heading left.
After a minute, she found his door before knocking.
"Who is it." A voice asked.
"Someone you should see." She told back.
Silence. "It is unlocked."
She grabbed the handle before turning it and pushing it opened.
The room was bland with the exception of the window, a few medical beds, some curtains between each bed, and a small table in between each bed.
And the only one in the room was a seven year old boy with black hair that spikes up in the back.
"Hello, Sasuke-kun."
She added the kun suffix at the end, not knowing how she should address him a the moment but decided to go with the friendly version.
He looked at her in shock with his mouth slightly hanging open.
She walked over to him and sat on the side of his bed.
"Y-Y-You're here, right?" He asked.
Her first reaction was to make a small joke, but she could sense the atmosphere.
'Sasuke likely woke up not too long ago, but from his statement, he knows about the clan. However, he was not told that there was one other survivor that night.' She deduced.
She placed a hand on one of his shoulders gently, causing him to flinch slightly.
She brought her hand back before stopping and placing it back on his shoulder again.
"Tell me, can you feel a weight on your shoulder?"
He looked down at Suki's hand before looking back at her with his eyes starting to water.
"Y-yes. I can feel it." He muttered.
She smiled gently. "Then I am real. I am here Sasuke."
A few tears started falling down the little boy's face as he leaned forward and hugged her, letting tears of happiness instead of sadness fall now that he found out one of the friends he made is still alive.
She hugged him back and let him let it out.
'Huh, so this is how it feels to help someone who is at their lowest.' She thought before smiling slightly wider. 'No wonder a certain someone tries to talk things out before trying to fight his opponents.'
She held him for another minute before he pulled away.
"Is...is it true?" He asked.
"I'm afraid so. The attack happened. You and I are the only survivors that they have found."
Sasuke clenched his hands.
"...his fault."
"What was that?" Suki asked.
"It's all his fault!" He exclaimed.
Knowing that she shouldn't know who yet, she decided to ask. "Who's fault?"
"Itachi! He...he killed everyone!" He paused, catching his breath. "He used some kind of genjutsu to show me every single person he killed that night."
She gulped, about to ask a question that had been on the back of her mind since.
"Did...did he kill my dad?"
He paused before continuing. "He showed me that he stole his eyes and then killed him."
That had caused her mind to stop.
'He stole his eyes? Why? There's a belief that you CAN gain the final stage of the Sharingan by transplanting someone else's Mangekyou, but if it isn't from someone with similar blood, the chances of it working is less than 1/100th of a percent. Only with the same blood is it guaranteed to work.' She thought.
"Why?" She unknowingly muttered aloud.
"He said...that only through hatred and vengeance would we become strong enough to kill him."
'Of course, the eyes are bait! Any normal person would feel hatred for someone who took something from them!' She thought. 'But if Itachi took his eyes, what did Father leave in the scroll?'
Then another thought came to mind.
'What if he's lying? What if he doesn't actually have his eyes?'
"I will kill him." He declared, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"I...I don't know what to think."
"How can't you!? He killed everyone, even your father! He has to pay, to restore honor back to our clan!" He exclaimed.
"No, I get that. What I mean is, what happened to Itachi? What caused him to do such a thing?"
"He claims he did it to test out his powers and that the clan was a perfect test." He told.
"Then," She paused before releasing a sigh. "Then we'll have to bring him to justice."
She realized that it is too early to even attempt to possibly save Itachi. Sasuke only sees him as a monster now. To try and change his goal of killing Itachi to trying to figure out why he did it will take more time.
"Thank you."
"Lord Third gave us two weeks off of the Academy to recover. We can go in at any time, but we must be back at the beginning of the next month." She told him.
She then got up getting his attention.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I'm going to train. Itachi was strong enough to kill the entire clan at the age of 12. He's leagues above us at the moment. To bring him down, we'll have to become stronger than him." She then turned and started walking.
"Do you think," He paused. "I could join you when they release me?"
She turned back and looked at him and saw it in his eyes.
'He's trying to hold onto the one thing that he knows he still has from before the Massacre. Me.' She thought before smiling. "Sure, I'll warn you though. The people I train with focus on Taijutsu over everything else. I'll try to help you out with other areas if I can."
He nodded. "Thank you."
With that, she left before heading back to the entrance.
'I really want to know what he put in the scroll, but I can't. If there's one thing I've learned, is to set goals. That scroll will be my goal. Before Naruto leaves to train, I will become strong enough to open it.' She thought.
So she left the building before leaving to a training ground.
Little did she know, the timeline shifted once more.
The once lonely Jinchuriki now had a friend who he swore would never let harm happen once more which would drive him to become stronger.
The once lonely avenger who had nothing but hatred and vengeance on his mind, now had someone to fill a hole that he swore he would protect from harm.
All this, because one girl was in the wrong place...at the right time.

Alright, this may be the last one before a chapter of time skips to explain what happens until the last year.
Until next chapter, this has been the beginning, of someone on the journey...To Become Godly.
