Capítulo 9: What Happened?
There will be always a reason for us to understand that time is beyond our expectation
Madeline POV
"Help me melissa"
"I told you that it's dangerous princess"
She hold the hand and lift her up but then stop when she almost got up
"Why should I?"
"Melissa, what are you doing?"
"I should be the queen not you. But why? Is it because you're the youngest child of the family?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Were both princess but why did they choose you to be the queen?"
"I think its the perfect time for you to be gone, before they announce you as the new queen"
Then she let go of the hand when I feel like I feel down on my own grave
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" My heart beat fast and I thought I would died there. Why does it feel like living my whole life out of nowhere and it seems doesn't feel right at the moment I hear that strange voice
But why do I seem to feel that I am the one in her situation the princess in my memories that suddenly appear. I still do not remember what happened to me and everyone is connected to me. Maybe I'm too zoned out lately that my mind is a little bit confuses
When a door opened and I saw jasmine have messy hair yet her eyes are red. Did she cry for almost three days? She hugged me tight like she doesn't want to let go of me
"Why do you keep me worried!" she said and hit me at the back which makes me want to go back to sleep
"Can you get me my tablet PC?" I told jasmine because I need to go back to work later and I might get a delay working on the schedule of Mr. Haver
Mr. Haver?? I touch my neck and went to look for a mirror. There's no bruises but I feel like I've been strangled by him but there is small scar on the left side and it hurts
Jasmine hit me hard which make my back ache. Will she please stop hitting me?
"What happened last night? Because I couldn't remember anything" I said because I only remember that I'm in a forest then heard some people looking for their queen even it's weird
I saw two young princess who are in the forest but the youngest wants to play while the elder keeps saying it's dangerous to play in the woods out there
But now I've dreamed the two of them again which seems to me they're like siblings and that little princess feels like connected to me even though I don't understand why
"Don't you even remember?" Jasmine smack her face in her palm and squeeze my cheeks "Hmmm..you're so cute madeline" I slap her hands so that she could let of my cheeks
"You collapsed twice, first at the park then at the grand party" she said and did I?
"You are really acting strange yesterday, then you laugh like a witch which gives me a creep and suddenly when we went to the grand party so disappeared I don't know where you went. I met the CEO Melissa of Elite which look like you" she explained which makes me want to ask a lot of question
"What do you mean she looks like me?" I asked
"Uhm, how can I say it?" jasmine is keeping me wait while I turn on the tv to watch someone movie but she just turned it off
"I thought it was you, but the way she speaks is different from you but the voice is same as you. As of yesterday, feels like I'm talking to another person because you speak impolite and very rude person seem with that CEO Melissa who's very sarcastic when everytime I ask her a question" she said but she feel creeps when saying that
"But nicholas saved you last night because he's carrying you when you suddenly collapsed" jasmine said and trying to refrain herself to giggle
What? Nicholas is at the grand party last night but why is he at the party?
"How about Mr. Haver?" I asked because I think I saw him clearly last night trying to kill me which I don't know what for
"Mr. Haver? Well he left early last night because he some urgent business to do and have a flight going to germany" am I mistaken again? Why do I keep seeing things?
"Why do you ask?" but there is really something wrong because I'm sure of it
"Nothing, I'm just asking" I said and just let off this bad feeling I have right now. I don't want to think anything else that would make me feel a lot of suspicious
"Anyway, I should go to work now since I already sleep a lot" I said and about to remove the inject on my left side arm but jasmine just stop me then someone knocked at the door and the doctor entered the room
"Hello Ms. Thompson. How is your condition? Do you feel okay now?" he asked then I saw small bruises on his neck and cheek like someone wants to kill him
"Ah yes doc, I'm all fine now" I said
"Are you sure about it? Because last night, you panic then suddenly left the room which we look for you and we found out that you're sleep walking" the doctor explain my situation which made me confused. Did I even do that?
"Since when did you have panic and sleep walking?" he asked then I just shrugged because I never been that kind of situation
"Oh also, I heard you crying last night" when he was about to tell something but he just stopped there at the moment of question in his mind. Did something happen to me?
"Nevertheless, seems to you're fine now maybe you should take the day off and rest your body" the doctor told me then jasmine is just looking at me
"You should listen to your doctor or else I would tell Mrs. Thompson about it"
"No need to, I don't want her to feel worry and go here" I said and she just nod to keep her mouth shut. I saw someone is waiting outside my room and poked jasmine "Can you check it for me please? I think someone is outside the room"
"Oh sure" she said and went out for a minute
Then the doctor grab my wrist tight which make shock and everything stop. The time is reversely ticking and the surroundings is too quiet as he stare at me. I can feel the negative energy inside him that made feel frightened of this situation
What is going on here? I can't move my body at all
"Jasmine!" I called her but she doesn't hear me
"There is no sense of calling her madeline, because soon you're going to kill her" he said and his voice sounds creepy
"You'll kill everyone that surrounds you and those who comes on your way. Even the truth will kill yourself in pain which make you feel greedy and selfish"
"Stoo saying nonsense! And who are you!!!!"
"You can't hide the fact you're living in this world yet you don't belong here" what he's talking about? Does he know me?
"How do you know my name?"
"Time is running out and you should go back where you really belong madeline" then he lean closely to me with a creepy look
"You will realize everything when you find out the truth about your past life" I can finally move and I pushed him away which makes everything move then the doctor snap his finger at me and that make my senses back
"What just happened there? Who are you!" as I looked at the doctor and stand up hold his collar then lift him until he talks
"Madeline, it's me your doctor" he said and smirk like creepy but I strangled him tightly
"No, who are you!" I shouted then jasmine suddenly entered the room and hugged me so that I would stop
"Ms. Thom....Ms. Thompson, it's .... it's ...me your... you.... your doctor" he said
"Who are you!" I feel the madness in my mind right now and my hands wants to kill this man but jasmine hold me
"Madeline, please calm down!" that was time I let go of the doctor and my hands are shivering. I remove the inject IV and ran off the room and people are looking at me because they're thinking right now that I'm crazy. How can I even read their expression and mind?
"Madeline!" stay away from me please
"Madeline!" I ran as fast as I can so that I couldn't hear anything and went to the corner to hide. Madeline, have you lost your mind? What did you just do there? You almost killed the doctor
I bent my head down on my knees and cried because I feel scared and my hands are trembling because of what happened earlier
"Madeline!" I hear someone calling my name but I close my ear so that I won't hear it
"Madeline, I know you're here. It's me, Nicholas. Please come out" I don't want to and stay away from me
"Madeline, I know you're scared right now but everything going to be alright just trust me" how do he even know what I'm feeling right now? Did he saw everything?
"Madeline, you feel frightened because of what happened at the room but you don't need to just calm down and come out now" So, he did see everything? But why didn't he stop it? and I just remember everything stop that is why he can't move
"You don't know nothing" I said then cried all out because I feel to weak to see this kind of controversial situation and this never really happen to me at all
"The feeling of killing someone will get you there madeline" that voice again
"Stay away from me please!" I shouted
"He is trying to kill you, yet you still don't know him" stop, please! I don't know who you are just stay away from me
"I'll come to you soon" then she laughed like a witch that creeps my whole body
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" I close my ears with my two arm and bent my head on my knees so that I won't see anything nor hear that witch voice but someone suddenly hugged me tight and tap on my back to make me calm
"Everything is going to be alright madeline, I'm here now and I won't leave you at all" then I lift my head and I saw him. It's nicholas staying by my side which I hold him tightly so that he would stay here
"Please don't leave me" I cry while saying that because my whole body is shivering and I couldn't think anything else but only him by my side
"I won't leave you, I promise" he said calmly and I suddenly feel sleepy right now then all I know he is beside me singing a lullaby

Nicholas POV
She is finally sleeping and I lift her so that we could back to the room then Bob saw us and told him to guard the room of madeline and no one will enter just only me and jasmine is the priority to go inside the room
"Don't let anyone go near at this room even to madeline only me and jasmine" I told bob to secure the room because I don't want anyone coming near her. I saw everything and I know who's behind it. She can't hide to me forever and I will definitely kill her with my own hands
"Omg, is she alright?" jasmine really feel worried about madeline. I don't know their relationship but the only matter that she always take care of her
"She's fine now, don't worry and just let her rest. Don't let anyone enter this room" I told her and she just nodded because I need to find that doctor
"Bob, come with me. Then peter and noah guard the room" we split to look for that doctor, he might know something that I should be asking him
"Excuse me, do you know this doctor?" I show the picture to the nurses on the counter since I don't know his name
"He is in the operation room sir, please wait him in the office after the surgery" the nurse told me then asked them where is the office then they give me a direction which I started to go there
"Nicholas, in here" bob said and we went to the operation room even the nurse told me not to but I won't bother to go in
"Good work everyone, I'll be in my office now" we hid so he could not see us but he noticed someone following him so he went straight to his office and locked the door so no one could enter, but we hurried and bob opened it and he did not let anyone in the office
"Who are you?" he asked but point a sword at his neck so that he wouldn't asked any question but bob stop me so that no one notice it "What are you doing?"
"I'll ask you only one question, answer it honestly or else your throat will be cut right this instant if you lie" I said and point the sword at him to keep his mouth shut before I ask the question
"What did you do with madeline?" he didn't respond nor answer because I can see in his eyes that he was scared and trembling. Bob approached me so that I could hide my sword because someone might see us here. The doctor just laughed and look at me
"I know this laugh, it's you!" I said
"Now you figure it out, she will come to you soon and kill you" he said but I couldn't kill this innocent doctor just for the sake of this situation
"Go ahead kill me, like you kill her"
"Who do you think you are! Show yourself! I told you to stay away from madeline or else I'll kill you" I giving her a warning and stop harming this innocent people in this world
"Once she find the truth, she will never forgive you" she laughed and I must find her before she gets near from madeline
"Where are you from! Identify yourself melissa!"
"Nicholas, The King of Enchanted Royal Kingdom who protect his kingdom and people but couldn't protect his own queen" how dare she bluffer a word! You have no right to say something that you did not know happened you evil witch. Then the doctor suddenly lost consciousness and lying on the floor.
I told bob to lift him and lay him on the couch. We left the office and I just went back to madeline's room to take care of her. Jasmine saw me "You're here nicholas, thank you for helping madeline" I just smiled at her
I sit beside on the bed of madeline to check on her so that if she wakes up, I'm here by her side
"Can I ask you a favor nicholas?" she asked and I just nodded "Please take care of madeline for me" she beg
"Yes I will, do you have work today?" I asked because she seems to be in a hurry. She just smile and left some fruits in the table then went out the room. It just me and madeline here while the royal guards are outside the room
"Nicholas, do you want me to buy some food that you could eat while checking on her?" bob asked but at this moment I'm not hungry the only thing I want to do is to stay by madeline side and take care of her. I just nodded in a way of telling him a no but still he insist to buy food for five
"My princess, why are you holding a sword?"
"I just want to know, how a sword work, my king. Since I never hold any sword before" she just smile at me while holding the sword but queen should never hold something dangerous. I took the sword but she insist to to take it again
"Prince Nicholas, may you please teach me how fight with a sword? Because if there is war or the kingdom might be attacked with a tribe, I could guard myself" she convinced me well but still I don't want her holding a sword
Throwing the last armory on the floor which makes me want to walk around but the queen insist to fight with me because she wants to protect me so that I won't get hurt that I should be done doing it instead her. I spun and walk around to glare at nothing since the princess is still summarizing the movements and holding the sword properly while watching her which makes me smile at the moment.
Bob is standing beside me while noah and peter is standing beside the princess. Actually they have been following us since earlier. But they were so tensed when everytime I looked at them because they thought I would order something
"One more fight, my king. I'm ready now to do a battle"
"You might lose my princess if we still go ahead with one more fight"
"Stop bluffering things. Are you afraid to lose Prince Nicholas?" she stared at me and smirked like she is going to win this fight
"Okay, I'll give you a fair deal. If you win, I let you have that sword and we're going out the kingdom with a royal guard. But If I win, you promise me you will never hold any sword" I said and she just smile confidently which I won't go easy on her
The fights start now, which she makes the first move but I block it but this time she makes another move which slash a little bit of my shoulder which makes me move backward a bit
"Are you alright Prince Nicholas?" I just nod and the princess movements is really fast which means her skills is like a warrior then the king and queen is telling the truth that they can the spirit of warrior on her even she doesn't even know it at all
Now, she did full force overhead attack with speed and intent but I double block she attacks in the middle, high, and low then attack with the forte of her sword. But she makes another attack which aim in my legs there is small slash again then it bleeds but the princess is focus on making another attack on me.
My shoulder is a little bit hurt so I'm going to use my left hand to attack. She is really the protector of the kingdom. While not paying attention, she swing her sword target attack on me which make me bend my knee but I make my potential counterattack on her then she got hurt which make her hold on the side of her arm
I run towards her but she point on the sword on me which make me stop at the moment
"Never ever stared or look in the eyes of your opponent if you want to win the fight, always aim your sword on the target and never hesitate to kill it because if you do, you'll die first. Then all your worth will be gone and you already lose the kingdom you've been protecting for century"
She really knows a lot of things in the kingdom and becoming a warrior that could protect the people "Okay you win, it means you can keep that sword" then she started to smile and let go of the sword which she approached "Oh I'm so sorry about that Prince Nicholas. Let's go inside the kingdom now so that I can take care of you and your wounds"
"Beg your pardon, Princess I should be the one who should be doing that too" I said to keep my feelings a bit distance
"How do you handle all the work in the kingdom being a prince at the same handling the royal guard palace?" she suddenly ask
"It's part of my duty as a prince to protect the king and queen, especially you princess" I said honestly because I'm willing to risk my life for her just to keep her safe
"Do you know what? I don't really want to become a princess nor does to be a queen of this kingdom even my mom which is the queen want me to carry her position and lead the kingdom. I only want to live a normal life like a girl or maybe live in another world" I didn't know she feel suffocate inside the kingdom
"Next time, if you feel bored just tell me and I'll help you go outside the kingdom as we go to some places you want to see" then she hugged with full of excitement in her eyes
I remember how happy she is when everytime she is outside the kingdom showing her true self to me which makes my heart flutter. I only realize now, she can never do anything inside the kingdom but only to follow the rules
"Ah, my head hurts" I finally hear her voice again as soon she wakes up then madeline saw me and all of sudden she hugged me then cried. Her hands are cold and shivering. I caressed her back to calm her down so that she would stop crying
"Don't cry madeline, I'm here now and I won't leave you" I said and just let her cry until she calm down. I sing her a song to make her feel better. I just send her home later after she get discharge so that she could take a rest without anyone bothering her. I will never ever going to leave you again and I promise that I'm going to protect you
"Please don't leave me, just stay with me" she said and wipe her tears
"Are you alright?" I hand her a water and bob enter the room bring some food
"Ah yes, thank you for asking. Sorry for causing so much trouble to you nicholas" she said shyly and cover her face because her eyes are swollen. But I get a bowl, pour it water and get one towel to wipe her face
"Would you like to eat something?" I asked her since didn't get to eat breakfast and lunch. It's already pass 7pm, almost for dinner
"No tha..." but her stomach suddenly grumble which makes me laugh a little bit
"On a second of thought, yes I am" she said and covered her face with a pillow but I just removed it. I help her to stand up so that she could eat at the table. I prepared the meal and let her eat
"Can you eat with me? Since I'm not used to eat alone. Also you can call those people outside my room seems to me they are your bodyguard. I would be happy if I could eat together with a lot of people" she said as requested
We all eat together but with separate table since the table we are using right now is a little bit small to fit five people and there is another table on the side that is where the three eat
"Wah, these foods are my favorite. Thank you so much nicholas" she smiled and eat happily then burp a little which everyone in the room laugh and also madeline
I hope this moment won't stop because at the time I feel like it just me and madeline inside this small room while eating together is one of the happiest moment I've ever had and I never wish it to be gone
