When Destrian returned home, he couldn't sleep. Archer had reacted to the news just as expected. No one would have thought Regina, who was a human in her past life, would be a demon with the gift of restoration now. He had instantly started planning a way to leave the underworld and reunite with her. 

Destrian, on the other hand, couldn't stop thinking about Marlena. Did she know the whole truth about herself?  If she did, there was no way she would willingly get close to him. And even if she did want to be with him, no one would let them be together. 

"Just when I was starting to be joyful about finding my mate." He grumbled. 

In the morning, he looked so pale and groggy that when he entered the dining room for breakfast, his parents and Sianna all exchanged concerned looks. 

"What happened?" Delaney asked. 

"Nothing." He sat down opposite his parents. "I would like to discuss the battle strategy."
