Capítulo 4: #4 The First Look
Sam POV
As I woke up the next morning I got ready for the office and was about to leave when mom called me saying,"You are skipping your breakfast again?"
"No mom, I am just in a hurry and I will have breakfast in the office. Meet you at dinner mom love you bye" I kiss on her forehead and leave the house.
I reach the office and Taylor tells me that my friends are waiting for me in my cabin. I am sure they are here to plan something for the new year,they always do something they want and don't even ask for my views on it because by now they have gotten used to my "NO" to every plan. As soon as I step in my cabin Kaedyn tells me that he has got a date for tonight and I reply with a smirk,"How many times do I have to tell you? Stop messing around and find THE ONE"
"Bro you have no idea how fun it is to meet a new girl every week" He says proudly.
"You are never going to change,are you?" I ask.
"Not anytime soon bruh" He says.
"Guys just leave this all and decide what are we going to do on new year?" Anthony asks.
Before anybody could reply to anything I said, "Guys I am going to plan everything this year. It will be a surprise for" I have no idea what I am going to do but I hope this saves me from there plans *Fingers Crossed.
"REALLY SAM?" All four of them ask me with a shock clearly visible on their faces.
"Yes,guys. Now get back to respective works and let me also work please" I ask them to leave so that they don't question me any further.
"We are trusting you about new years and please don't make it boring and all okay? It must be memorable. Got it?" Patrick tells me.
"Yes SIR. Now if you allow me,I'd like to get back to work and also want you to get back to yours" I tease them.
"Sure bye Sam see you at your home tonight" Kaedyn says.
Everybody leaves and I breathe a sigh but soon I am clueless on what am I going to surprise them with.
In the evening when I finished my work and was about to leave the office with Carter and Anthony as they had stopped by my office to discuss some things regarding their new project. I get a text from Patrick saying,"Hey bro,can you pick up a parcel from my store while on your way to home?
"Sure Rick," I replied.
"Guys we gotta stop by Rick's store to pick something up" I tell Carter and Anthony and we leave my office. Then I ask Taylor to take me to the mall. As we reach there Carter tells me he has to get something from the ground floor store and tells us he will meet us in near the car after shopping. We head on to the escalator and I see a girl standing right beside me on an . She is wearing white shirt and a black pencil skirt. She seems to have just gotten off from work and her hair is perfectly tied in a ponytail, just a few hair strands here and there,she is wearing a subtle shade of lipstick,she is slightly curving her lips to form an infectious smile,she has a different kind confidence on her face,she is a little chubby but it suits her,she looks drop dead gorgeous to me,I can't help but keep staring at her. Her face is now changing its action,her face now looks self- conscious and she is trying to fix her hair,now she takes out her phone and looks if something is wrong with her face then she looks at my face and asks,"Excuse me? Is something wrong with my face ?" Anthony starts laughing at me.
Her question brought me out of my zone,by then I could react to her. We reached our floor and she went away rolling her eyes at me. I felt a little awkward and a little weird as well. I don't know why I behaved like that,it was very unlikely of me. I brush away these thoughts and we start walking towards the store. As we were about to reach the store I see the same girl speaking to a boy,or let's just say that boy was practically shouting at her. I stood there to listen to their conversation and I was shocked at what I just heard. ,
"What the hell are you wearing? Don't tell me you wore this to the office." The boy asked the girl very angrily and I could see the girl getting awkward and she still replied back saying,"What's wrong in this dress?Yeah,I have worn it in the office."
"You really have guts to talk back to me here. Also, YOU are asking me what's wrong in the dress? Well,it ends above your knees and has a deep front neck.You look like an absolute slut. Wait. Hold on a second. Are you having an affair with somebody from work?." He raises his voice even more.
By this time I am fuming in anger and just want to punch that guy in the face for disrespecting a woman.
"No,Tyler I am not having an affair with anybody. Please believe me,I beg you please. I won't wear such clothes anymore. Trust me please Tyler." The legit begs him with tears in her eyes and I realise how moments ago she had that confidence on her face and now she is begging for forgiveness. What is wrong with her? I mumble
"It's ok I believe you. And next time don't answer me back that way. Got it?" That guy whose name is apparently Tyler has forgiven the girl,for what I want to ask.
And the girl replies saying, "Yes I won't"
"Hey babe are you crying? I am sorry ,I said it because I care for you and I know how guys are,I hope you know and understand what I mean" Man,this guy has guts calling his possessiveness a caring nature. and the girl who is apparently not so confident like I thought says,"Yes,I know you care for me Tyler. I am sorry. It Won't be happening from the next time" That's it. I had it enough,I said to myself and as I was about to reach out Tyler to punch him hard in the face,Anthony stopped me and practically pushed me in the direction of the store.
"Sam,what's wrong with you? Why are you getting into an unknown couple's fight?"Anthony asks me.
"Known or unknown no boy has the right to disrespect a girl or a woman" I yell at him.
"OKAY. CALM DOWN buddy." He tells me and as I turned around to see the boy Tyler and that girl,they were nowhere to be found.
"Come on now,they have vanished from the place. Let's just get the parcel and leave"
We headed on to Rick's store and as I was getting the parcel Anthony asked me to wait as he had to buy some clothes. I took the parcel and stood there waiting for Anthony. As he was taking a lot of time I decided to look for him and when I found him he was flirting with the attendant there. I should have guessed it.
"Anthony,are you done buying the clothes bro?It's already been 30 minutes since you've been shopping. Can we leave?"
"Yea sure. Just a min bro." He says to me and turns back to the attendant saying,"Here,this is my card. Call me."
As everybody in the store knew us,Anthony asked the manager to put the bill on his card and get them packed. The manager left to get the clothes packed and we were waiting when I saw the same guy Tyler standing in the queue and the girl standing in front of him.
Tyler was typing something on this phone and I just peeked in and what I saw literally gave me the second shock today. This guy was cheating on the girl. I was shocked beyond words,he is the one cheating on the girl and he had the guts to yell at her in the public. What kind of a moron does this? Pathetic. Fuming in anger I just leave the store and call Patrick saying," Hey buddy,can you do me a favour? Am at your store in the mall. Can you put a bill on me?"
"Ya sure. Why not. I will ask the manager right away. Did you take all that you needed?" He asks.
"No,no. I didn't buy anything. It's just I want to pay somebody else's bill" I tell him
"Ok. Tell me the customer's name."He asks.
"I don't know her name but Ya,the girl is in a white top and a pencil skirt.She is standing in the queue right now." I tell him.
"Bro,why do you want to pay the unknown girl's bill?" Anthony asks me from behind.
"HOLD ON SAM. You don't know the girl but you want to pay her bill. WHY?" Patrick yells at me from the phone.
"I will explain everything to you once I get back home. Just do it now please" I tell him a little furiously this time.
"OK bro. It will be done." He told me.
" I owe you one buddy" I told him and put down the phone and realise that Anthony is staring at me with an unknown expression. I ask him,"WHAT? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Are you our SAM? Coz,I can't believe it. You have shown so many changes since morning. I am not able to digest it." Anthony asks me suspiciously.
"Oh,shut up.You freak. Come let's head home" I brush away his thoughts and we head on to our car where Carter was waiting for us and then we head on to home.
