Capítulo 22: CHAPTER NINETEEN

"GIVE THE lady another shot." I heard someone say beside me.

I turned to look and saw a light skinned guy take the stool next to me. He was lanky and very tall. He had pointed nose, bushy eyebrows and a wide mouth. His eyes glowed from the fluorescent lights above. He looked good; well groomed, clean shaven and totally different from what I would normally want, but I didn't mind.

"Thanks, but I'm good," I said smiling.

The tequila had definitely kicked in. I was feeling some kind of confidence I wasn't used to but I took delight in it. That still didn't make me want to accept drinks from a stranger, no matter how handsome he was.

"Are you sure? I don't mind buying," he said.

What the heck, I thought. One more wouldn't hurt, only one more. I didn't want to get shitfaced drunk. "Alright, one more," I relented.

"I'm Akin by the way." He stretched out his hand and I shook it. It felt smooth to the touch as it swallowed mine.
