Capítulo 132: Chapter 132: WHEN A KING DOUBTS

Lucifer swept it all off, pretending he've let Azazel become as innocent as he is,

Deep inside him though, was an already raging beast.

Nemue, though strong and cunning,

Wouldn't and couldn't pull of such a treacherous plan such as that,

Lucifer knew Azazel's desperation,

Blinded by his great lust and want.

However, since Lucifer also knows how much he needs the traitor,

Let it all slide, giving him the favor,

But once he feels that Azazel had had enough,

He'll punish the demon, and throw his bones in the dark.

So much for being a king of unpleasant creatures,

Where no one could be trusted, and no one could be your saviour.

He was just upset that someone would still plot against one of his friends,

Aren't they scary enough? Since when?

Since when did they not respect his name?

Since when have he? Lowered his flames?

He was sure he never grew a heart, no, not for anyone,

He was as ruthless as before, no longer God's son.

"That...tsk, how can he do such thing?"

Lucifer whispered to himself, as he tells one of the maids, "A bottle of wine, please bring,"

He laughs as he sees his reflection in the mirror,

"Ah, don't be like that, don't be scared by a little traitor."

He fixes his long black hair,

But it further reminded him of Azazel,

In wrath he broke the glass of wine,

As he grew evermore warm,

"I'll get him in time."

Frustrated by the scene, he left to wander about,

Flying without saying anything, taking some look around.

He soared high, proud, and oh, how he admired,

The destruction he caused, now far and wide.

But why does his heart, felt a lingering feeling of sadness?

As the cold wind taunt him, further driving him to madness.

His black wings flapped hard, as he burns some trees out of boredom,

His white arrows pierced them whole,

Setting a forest aflame, destroying a kingdom.

There were but little birds that managed to fly away,

So little life, that had managed to stay,

The once vivid place and marvelous sight,

Now felt gloomy and lifeless, come day and night.

Lucifer laughs, but feels empty within,

His patience, his sanity, both growing thin.

He felt excited to make a new world from this he destroyed,

If only those angels, can be easily toyed.

A bird with feathers, the color of the sun,

Flew towards him, as fast as it can,

It smelled his scent of wine, and it was very hungry,

But Lucifer only shot it, with no remorse, unfortunately.

How it sickened him, for something that God made to come to him like that,

For something that reminds him of his rival to come to him like that.

"Michael, Michael, Michael, you're just like Michael,

Always thinking he could just approach me like that, such fool don't know me well.

Always thinking he's so bright, so smart, so perfect,

Well, but he's boring, he's nothing, like this place, burnt to ashes.

Always the favorite, always the righteous,

Always thinking my open mind, was just me being ambitious.

He always get the praise, the glory, the admiration,

When it is I, who have first proposed, another direction.

But they're like dogs, leashed to their traditions,

Hating me, claiming I'm an angel, that's destined for submission.

And now, I'm the bad guy, I'm the one thrown fro. that perfect little place,

Now, I'm the adversay, the one those humans must stay away.

Pff, but what now? What does that Michael know?

It is I, who humans follow the most.

After all, who would want to be perfect, flawless, and goody all the time?

Angels are but foolish creations, they don't have their one mind.

And yet, at the end of the day, they get to decide what's good and wrong,

They get to decide, that they're always right, when all they ever really do, is sing those stupid songs.

How boring, how...infuriating,

Great creations like us, to live only for singing?

God sure is a narcissist, isn't he?

Ah, well, just like me."

When Lucifer had enough, he went back,

But his chest felt heavier, as the sky turn dark.

He felt like shouting, like blaming his life,

"I don't even know if I'm doing this because I want to,

Or because it's what God has write..."

Satan watches, as he lands on his side,

"Where were you?" "It's fine, I'm alright,"

"No, where were you? Why are you on your own?"

"Satan, it's not like I'd be defeated after all."

Satan narrows his eyes, and quickly shows him a piece of hair,

"So? It's Samael's, and what's the affair?"

"Azazel claims Samael's corpse is missing, should we believe it just like that?"

"Azazel, Azazel, Azazel, is there something new other than that?"

"I'm being serious, he's speaking some-"

"But we need him still on our side,"

"We don't even know if that 'possessed' Samael really died.

What if he's being controlled by that mad scientist?

What if he makes use of his lethal abilities?"

"Samael, he's just one body,"

"But Azazel made more, already an army,"

"It is ours, without our power he wouldn't get as many."

Lucifer's face was irritated and red,

Satan shuts up, but didn't turn away his head.

Lucifer's eyes no longer shined in the night,

He looks a bit gloomy, and undeniably tired.

"You should get some sleep,"

Satan suggested, although he despised him still,

But Lucifer rejected, "You shouldn't be this kind to me, I told you the truth, haven't I?

So why are you still pretending? Stop with the disguise,"

"If I am worrying, I am worrying,

I am still angry at you, but you're on the verge of collapsing,

If you believe that everyone here will betray you, I won't,

Despite the many things you've done wrong,

You didn't left me alone."

Satan reminded, as Lucifer yawned,

"Without your help, I would have been gone."

"I don't need your pity, Satan,

As I told you earlier, I am fine."

"You need to get some sleep, Lucifer,"

"But a God don't sleep, do they? Satan?"

"You will die at this rate, and we'd lose our leader,"

"Then bury my remains, in the deepest oceans,"

Lucifer said in a serious, hopeless tone,

"What if they're right, that I'm climbing a stair of slippery stones?

I feel lonely, helpless, despite having so much than I dreamed of,

Sometimes, I...don't know what to feel anymore."

Satan's eyes widened, as if he understood,

Perhaps there's really no happiness, for demons like them.

"You just need rest, and you'll be back to your old self,"

"What if in the end, we'd end up with nothing left?"

Lucifer's hard exterior melted in a glimpse,

As his voice began, to break and whimp.

He fell to his knees, gazing at the moon's light,

"I just wanted to prove myself,

But I am lost, why?"

Satan's anger was quickly released,

As he saw not, a prideful beast,

But that of a child, confused of the world,

Crying as he tremple, his hands shaking and cold.

"No one will ever love me, and they were right, Satan,

Everyone will betray me, as long as they can.

The more I have, the less I truly keep,

I tried my best, but still haven't tasted anything sweet.

They claim God is all-loving, but how can He let me end up like this?

A tired lonely wolf, that could only shed blood and tears?

Why give me the intellegent mind,

If He wanted me to follow blind,

Why give me wings of white and purity,

When He only want me to follow Him obediently?

Am I really evil, Satan? Are we really the tyrants?

Am I really the villain? Are we really the ones?

Aren't they just the same? But they guise themselves with layers of wool,

They kill and slaughter, they're much but bigger fools."

"Say all you want, and I'd listen,

I won't judge you,"

Lucifer's voice is shaken.

"T-thank you! For being there, I swear I'm thankful,"

Lucifer stammered, like a child, then continued his rants for another.

Satan listened, patiently, calmly,

As he understands, bit by bit, why Lucifer is so angry.

But he could also feel, and sense regret in his voice,

But what he had caused, is an irreversible choice.

Both were unaware,

That Azazel is spying on them from far away,

He smiles at the weakness laid in front of him,

As his mind plays out, a plan so grim.

"I wonder what death is fitting for the King of demons?

I wonder what I'd do, once I seperate his flesh and bones?

What would I do, with those tall proud horns?

Ah, how funny, since it turned out,

He isn't much of a storm."

"Such a whiny god he is, if that is what he aims for,

No need to waste on tears, ah, that crybaby Lucifer."

After mocking his superior, he decided to come back.

As the wind became peaceful, its Master disappearing in the dark.
