As soon as I tasted that wine I knew something was wrong. It tasted off. And as my knees gave out and I fell to the ground, I knew death was coming. Moments after I fell, Sorrel fell beside me. We had not died yet, so clearly whoever was behind this did not intend to kill us...yet. Around us the sounds of fighting rose up, and I saw my guards getting cut down one after another.
