Everyone would do the same. Rhaenys was the only female Targaryen beside her, and she was happy to hear that. But that also meant that she was a threat to her position as the queen.
"I said this because I wanted you to know everything. I did not tell anyone that Rhaenys is alive, and no one knows that she married Raymont, as well. Don't be mad at Alesanna for that." Said Edward as he shook his head and waited for Daenerys to say a word.
"Can I see her?" Asked Daenerys after some thinking. She wanted to see her niece before making any decision.
"That would be impossible for now at least since I don't want to endanger her child for any reason." Said Edward as he shook his head. Of course, something like that would be impossible at the moment.
Daenerys could understand Edward's reason but felt some envy in her heart. Her niece got ahead of her at marrying Raymont. Not only did she secure her position as the first queen by marrying Raymont first, but she was about to give birth to a child even. Although Daenerys intended to take her time to think slowly about this matter, she did not expect to hear all this at one go. She got to know about a surprise one after another.
"So what do you think?" Asked Edward as he looked at her waiting for her reply.
Daenerys looked at Edward's face before turning her head to Raymont. She continued to look at him like that for a while before coming up with a decision.
"I want some time to think about this." Said Daenerys as she looked at Edward. Although she preferred to have the man all for herself, she could not convince herself to let the queen's position go away from her.
"As you like. I asked the maids to prepare a room for you where no one would visit except Raymont and me. Alesanna would visit you when she returns as well." Said Edward with a smile as he stood up and came close to her before hugging her again.
"You will be my daughter by law, either way, so don't worry. I won't let a diamond-like you go to waste." Said Edward with a smile after letting her go.
Edward asked Raymont to take Daenerys to her room, allowing Daenerys to take this chance to hook up with Raymont. Edward knew exactly how Daenerys was good at these things, and he should warn his son about this matter, though, since he did not want Daenerys to control everything he worked for in the end.
After thinking about that, Edward started to implement his other plan. He had chosen the person that would do the task for him. Yeah, Edward could come up with one person that he did not know anymore.
After Daenerys joined his group, Edward would not Varys anymore. He thought that he could get rid of this spider this early in order to get rid of any problem that might come in his direction because of that man.
Since Varys owed him since the rebellion, Edward decided to ask for payback for what Varys did. Edward would ask Varys to give a gift to the Sealord of Braavos that would carry the virus. He had already convinced the young Aegon to go to Pentos through Rob Stone.
Edward started putting a good plan for his next course of action in the next few years. It took him nearly a month to implement the whole required plan. He started executing it at once and sent a letter to Varys. He told Varys that if he wanted Edward to forgive him for what happened in the past, he had to do him this favor.
Edward explained that he needed him to convince Bravos to surrender their power to him and make sure to send that gift to the Sealord. He instructed him not to open it, or he would kill himself by doing that. Of course, Varys, as always, would be suspicious of such an invite. He searched the whole gift from the outside without opening it. Of course, Varys would not find anything wrong because the virus was hidden in the seasonings and would not spread without contact.
Varys must have thought that Edward put poison in the seasonings. He did not realize that it was not just seasonings in those jars but a deadly virus that would kill him and everyone in Bravos.
Edward's plan for the whole year had moved in the direction he wanted. Varys went to Bravos and met the Sealord, said some pleasantries before giving him Edward's gift. The Sealord asked his men to cook them a meal with the seasonings making Varys's face change after hearing that. But he decided to go with that since he would not eat and only look at the Sealord as he ate himself. His plan did not take the correct path, though, since the virus spread at once after a few minutes.
It only took two days before the tens of thousands living in Bravos to take their last breath and die in agony. No one survived that epidemic, and the matter spread to everyone in the world, making them tremble in fear except some savage Dothraki. No one was not afraid of Edward's method since they did not even realize how Edward had done something like that.
They also knew that if Bravos and everyone in it died like that, it meant that something like that could happen to them as well. Some people said that what Edward did was sorcery, while others said that he called the gods upon the city to make it like that. Since no one could not get close to Bravos because they were afraid of what might happen to them, even the citadel could not find a reasonable answer to that situation.
Bravos would be known as the City of Ghosts for three years as many travelers would swear that they would hear the dying men's screams asking for their help when they would get close to the isles of Bravos, making them tremble in fear. This matter got recorded in history as 'The obliteration of a Great City in Two days.'. What Edward did to Bravos turned into one of the world's mysteries since no one got to see this virus again.
After getting rid of Varys and everyone from Bravos with him, Edward turned his eyes to the Dothraki hordes since he decided to leave Pentos be until the time he would get to use Aegon Targaryen. As for Viserys and Illyrio, they died a week after Daenerys left by Alesanna's hands. Edward heard that Viserys had a very painful death.
