Capítulo 22: Sauren's First technique- falling meteorites

Sauren's match was with Henry sacral level ,from local prestigious guild Fang.They are highly overactive guild take active participation in all kinds of events.

Henry is sword wielder with water elemental style.It was technically match between two contrasting elements.

Sauren stood at centre of arena with Henry.He observed him to be man with small staure,small moustache and weird pony tail.He had longsword in his hand which was quite flexible type suitable for water style.Bell rang to indicate start of match .

Henry quickly tried to shorten distance between them by his quick dash but Sauren was ready for it .He jumped back and fired flame balls towards him.Henry made water sheild to deflect the incoming shots .

For next few times Henry tried again and again to cut distance between them as he thought best way to deal with mage is force him into close combat.But Sauren was aware of his all tries and continued to fire long shots to restrict his movements and keep him in defence.

Soon Sauren found that his firepower is not enough to break his shield . Therefore he decided to give big shot enough to break his water shield.

He began to channel his fire energy into several nucleus above his head,he chanted hymns to resonate with those nucleus to increase their size dramatically.

soon there were several condensed balls of fires were hovering in air.Seeing the preparation Henry tried to obstruct him but watching the formation of nucleus,he understood that if he went near him,his opponent would prematurely throw those nucleus to him which will give opening in his own defence.

Actually he can't to do anything other than to face those huge hovering spheres.

Henery made a water stream condensed before him and utilised his most effective technique to counter opponets high power attacks

"Falling meteorites"

Both executed their techniques at same time .Large fire balls began to descend toward Henry with large momentum.One fireball was from such height was enough to cause total destruction,there were about six or seven fireballs.

On other side ,water stream has formed circle boundry with Henry at its centre and began to spin furiously.Water stream formed rotating ring which collided with incoming fireballs.

Violent explosion took place accompanying with evaporation of water which lead to formation of huge amount of fog in air.Whole arena was shrouded in fog as vision quality was depleted drastically.Sauren tried to look into Henry s position for effect of his fireballs but it was not clear in fog.

He soon realised something missing as fog retreated from his left side and Henry emerged from it .He was within his strike range and due to sudden appearance he couldn't dodge.

"Its over"

yelled Henry as he striked toward Sauren.He can't dodge thought Henry .He ran out of spinning disk when first fire ball collided,as he knew he couldn't take on explosion so close moreover fog generated helped him in keeping his tracks hidden.

So he quietly circled around Sauren to give him fatal strike . Everyone thought it was end for young mercenary because mage to come in close quarters with swordsman could lead to only one outcome.

As sword was going to connect with his body Sauren activated his fire cloak and lifted his hand to strike his sword.with constant refining his body was comparable to hard steel but now with his cloak his fists can easily clash with any weapons .

'Duphhhhh..,'

Muffeled sound was heard as his hand blocked his strike.He didn't give any time to think to Henry and with other hand punched straight to his face.

Full powered punch was more than enough to break his nose .He was thrown violently across field and lay their unmoving.A huge puddle of blood soon formed at his face.Refree announced Sauren's victory and hurriedly called for medical team.

Soon all pity in heart of watching audience was replaced with dread as his strike was quite violent one .

Sauren returned to stands and sat beside calm Zeph.He came close to his ear and whispered,

"wanna eat something".

Zeph turned his head and nodded towards him.

Both of them soon reached canteen area and ordered their snacks .Zeph asked him why he was so secretive to ask for food in stands.

"You didn't see all people were watching me like I am some sadist,so I just wanted to get out of there"

Zeph understood his line of reasoning because he himself does not like being in centre of attention.

"There is something I don't understand all matches we are watching ,no one is trying their very best usually they are comparing techniques and if one slips up he admits defeat"

"How can you understand with having only one technique in your hand.These all students have atleast two or more techniques and some of them even have more than one skill ,Rewards are not so fascinating to them as much as they are to you .

while they are fighting for extra techniques but they did not want to lose their hand or leg for these extra techniques.Therefore it is only for fame and practice they are fighting in competition unlike you who has dire need of techniques"

"Oh I see, so rest matches will be easy or not"

"Probably yes, probably no.See if you met someone who is only for practice it will be easy but if you met someone who cares deeply about his and his academy's fame then he will not admit defeat so easily"
