Even when Darren didn't want to eat and wanted to wait by the living room or anywhere else, he found he really didn't have much of a choice. He has to and join Hugo and Julien to eat with the delicious French meals but tasted so bland in his mouth.

The foods were delightful and aesthetically pleasing but he really cannot appreciate them right now because of his missing appetite, vanished energy, and basically, his self is in another place.

He's agitated, distressed, and all. He wanted to know what Tim and his father is talking about. This happy bubble inside him has burst immediately upon entering Elroy Mansion. 

What has been a perfect day has instantly twisted and has shifted into this little nightmare of worries, silence, and overflowing fear.
