What had happened?

That seemed to be the main question everyone was asking. No one seemed to know what had happened. Rumors were buzzing around and making a muck, and now as Asterias said, chains shackling up his magic powers, he felt numb.

The same memory ran inside of his head and over again. The lavender-haired princess had stood up, using her voice to elect to drink from the cup herself. Lumielle took the chalice from his hand, politely bowing her head. Their fingers barely touching as he realized how cold she was: cold enough for him to notice but not say anything. Then, she drank as if she didn't have a care in the world. It was as if she didn't know that what was inside would be killing her. Or did she know? Did she mean to die?
