"I actually didn't see it initially. Amanda was the one who pointed it out to me. But it's not a big deal, it's normal for footwears, especially sandals to cut." Pete assured her as he took out his phone and started the voice recorder. He liked this talkative part of her he was getting to see, even though he knew it was because she had had too much to drink. Because the wine had been sweet, she had kept drinking without realizing the alcohol content was a bit high, and he had deliberately chosen not to tell her the wine was alcoholic.
