I was having a hard time focusing on simple things since last night. Like getting hard thinking about Kiara or not burning the eggs in a pan. Or my favorite, having a cold shower without getting hard because that shit hurt, and I did not want blue balls.

Last night’s date took a whole different turn than what I had imagined. Kiara wanted a baby, and she wanted me to put a baby inside her. My jaw clenched thinking about it. I wanted to know what would happen after she gets pregnant.

Would I see her stomach grow each day? Would she let me talk to the baby growing inside her womb? Would I hear the child’s first words? First steps? I wondered how he or she would look. If anything, the baby should have Kiara’s smile with that dimple.

“Good morning.”

My body tensed when Kiara’s arms wrapped around my torso, her body pressing against mine as she hugged me from behind. I snapped out of my thoughts and cleared my throat.
