Artie's eyes flickered after the Black Kodiak explained further. It seemed that Larkin Ellis being the inheritor was not a random matter. He was indeed from the long lineage of the rightful kings of Galacia. However, House Ellis was barred from ascending into overlords over the kingdoms. When the last attack of the glass spirits had started, it was through the efforts of Stephan Ellis that Galacia was saved… from both the glass spirits and Xeneroth.

No wonder the worshipers accuse him of stealing the Old King's power… he basically did. Stephan drained Xeneroth's power through the forbidden spells of Cupo Magia and took Tetroka for himself.
