Katherina Blackwood's POV

I stayed in the cottage with anticipation rushing in my veins like the crimson headache in my temple.

It hardly takes 3 to 4 hours to reach Amalfi and these hours have been the most dreadful hours of my life. My mind was racing to prepare myself but my body wouldn't move from the couch as I stared straight ahead at the door that might break in anytime soon and Luca might walk in.

My senses were high on alert and every sound were sharp in my ears. A tiny drop of sweat glided from my temple, curving at my jawline and stood still at the chin before dropping down. My eyes flickered to the clock; the time seems to be moving slower, but it didn't help the rising heartbeat in my chest.
