Capítulo 39: Day of Approval

I sat on the chair, not saying a word despite being the only person in the room. I arrived at the conference room five minutes earlier due to my nervousness. I placed a hand on my chest, feeling my heart beat faster than usual.

Today was the day I'd prove myself to Kaeden. I already had Gin, and Duchess Blair approve me to the point they even sent a letter of approval to Kaeden. Despite that, Kaeden still didn't approve of me going. 

If I get approved by today, I'll leave by tomorrow. But my problem is my appointment with Belle. I might need to cancel it and rush back to my village. I can't just sit here and do nothing while the villagers back there are suffering. I at least want to repay their kindness back. 

The door creaked, and I turned to see Kaeden and followed behind him was Gin, waving his hand at me. I straighten my back with both hands, clenching onto my dress. I gulped, feeling thirsty all of a sudden.
