And she could see the surprise written all over his face as he saw that piece of jewelry, dangling from her hands. He narrowed his eyes and asked.

"Let me guess, Morpheous!"

And she just nodded. "Looks like you both have similar taste!" And saying that she kept her necklace back in her clutch.

He wore a bitter smile on his face and muttered, "Then I guess you can go to your home on your own. It's hardly a couple of blocks away."

'Unbelievable!' A moment before he had offered to drop her, and now he was asking her to walk on her own. 

She cursed him inside her head and walked out without even bothering to turn back even once. No matter how much slack she tried cutting for him, he always strived hard to prove himself as the biggest condescending jerk in the world.

'If only pastors knew how angels are like!' She scoffed in her head and then pressed the doorbell.
