Capítulo 93: Ch.93 Great there's five of you?!
While Kris, was drinking his coffee. Clear was just staring at him. She had both elbows on the table while holding up a cup of coffee to her lips. Blowing on it, to cool it down.
When she was about to take a sip, she made an off handed comment, saying,"Stop acting smug. You know, your get up isn't even unique... You're like a blonde copy of that guy over there, minus the full beard." pointing with her eyes, over Kris's shoulder.
Kris turn around, and followed her line of sight. Kris was shocked to see "The Man" himself. John Wick, eating his breakfast. Kris couldn't help himself, he was about to 'fangurl' over this.
But then, he remained composed, his eyes almost turning into slits as the gravity of the situation hit him.
He was not only in the Continental Hotel but,"The Continental Hotel" his heart beat wildly at this.
He took a deep breath, and relaxed. As long as he stirs clear of any trouble other than the one his in now, he'll be fine. He told himself.
'Shyte God must be catching on to my plans, or something. I need to divert its attention somehow...' then it hit him.
He then took out something he's been working on. Before he came back to this movie, he exchanged a pair of the unlimited ammo version of a Berreta 92f, and was customizing it. To look like the "Sword Cutlass" version, using his psionic abilities as an experiment.
He stood up with one of the wooden gun case of his finished project, and walked up to John Wick.
"Mr.Wick" Kris said a couple of steps away from the legend himself. When he looked up, Kris confirmed he is indeed the Baba Yaga.
"I'm sorry to interupt your breakfast, but it would be my greatest honor as a craftsman. If you received one of my greatest work..." said Kris presenting the cutlass to the man.
John Wick stop eating, and looked at him assessing if he is a threat, or not. After a few seconds, he wiped him self with the napkin, and said,"I'm flattered but, are you sure? If you've heard of me then, you know what it will be used for."
While looking at the mat black gun with gold designs, with the words "Through Passion, I gain Strength" along the side.
Kris looked at the man, and said,"Peace is a lie, There is only Passion."
As if those words resonated with him John Wick unholsterd the gun he had under his jacket, and placed it on the table. Then took the Berreta 92f with one hand, while taking the magazine it came along with his other hand. He inserted the magazine in, and held the gun in hand. As if meeting a long lost companion, he checked the gun like a pro.
Turning it over to the other side, he saw the gun's name "Cutlass". With a nod he placed it in the holster under the left side of his jacket.
He then stood up, and shooked Kris's hand saying, "Thank you."
Kris shook his hand as well saying,"As long as you have 'Passion' that gun will not let you down."
The man nodded, and left the cafe, Kris returned to where Clear was and sat back down letting out a sigh.
"You knew that guy?" ask Clear.
Kris nodded, and said,"A kindred Soul, about to break his chains..."
[John Wick POV]
Walking towards the receptionist desk, he was greeted by the same mysterious concierge Charon.
"Charon, do you know those two people sitting over there?" pointing towards Kris, and Clear's table.
Following John's line of sight cross the hall, and through the cafe's entrance. He said,"Ah! Mr. Kristoffer Wu, and the lovely Ms.Clear Walker, they checked in last night."
"Right, Kristoffer, He said he's a 'Smith' do you have away to contact him by chance?" John asked.
"Ah!, I was not aware he was that talented." he exclaimed.
John took the gun out, and showed it to Charon.
Charon received the weapon with both hands, and examined it saying,"What a master piece, a work of art."
Then he looked at John as he returned the gun,saying,"I do not have his contact information. But, I'll be inquiring about it later. I'll share it with you when you get back."
John nodded with a "Thanks", and left.
[General POV]
Mean while with Kris, and Clear...
Not long after John left, Mohinder came in the cafe. He was guided by a waiter towards Kris, and Clear's table.
When Clear saw the doctor, she stood up to greet him and introduced Kris.
"You must be Mohinder, I'm Clear, this is my friend Kris."
Kris got out of his chair, and turned to shake the doctor's hand.
When they sat down they began their conversation. It started with light hearted topics, about how Dr.Chandra contacted Clear, how they met, how the old man, talked about Clear's mother.
Until Mohinder asked,"So, are you still keeping contact with your sisters? I heard one of them is working with the New York governor Robert Malden."
This caught Clear off guard, as she was stunned, with her mouth a gaped.
It was Kris that saw her reaction, so he snapped her out by saying,"You didn't tell me you had siblings, Clear!"
He then connected with her thru telepathy saying,'Play along this will be useful to us, well more to you...'
"Well, It never really came up..." she then laughed it off lightly to get rid of the confusion she had.
"Oh! I'm sorry. It was not my place to tell people about your family..." said Mohinder feeling the awkward situation.
"No, It's Ok... It really never came up, and I'm not really close with them. You can go ahead and tell him the story." said Clear acting as if it was a sore topic.
"If it's ok with you, Because it's really fascinating." looking at Clear, and then towards Kris.
"Well Clear here, Is a part of what is known as a Quintuplet. She was born with 4 sisters that look exactly like her. I was only able to contact Tracy Strauss, and Niki Sanders aside from Clear. But they were both unavailable, and couldn't meet me."
"I heard from my father that it was the most remarkable birth he had ever witnessed in his career."
Mohinder then talked about his father's work, and how he enjoyed it. So it was a shock when he ended up driving a taxi in New York of all things.
He then talked about the research his father was doing before he died. Which now interested Kris, and Clear.
Mohinder then shared that he was able to contact somebody his father identified to have an amazing ability.
Zane Taylor of Virginia Beach returned his call just this morning, and he was excited to meet him.
He told Clear about how the man was frightened by his ability, so he has contacted Suresh to ask him to come to his house.
Kris told Clear to ask if they could come along with the doctor.
Clear then told Mohinder that she would be glad to help with the old man, Chandra's research for all the help he gave her before.
Kris then stood up, to get his car keys from the receptionist desk as he had left it with the valet last night.
Charon greeted him,"Goodmorning Mr.Wu, how may I be of service to you today?"
"Ah! Yes, I just would like the keys to my car that I left with the valet last night, please."
"A moment please... here you are Mr.Wu... And Mr.Wu, it has come to our attention that you have an incredible talent as a 'Smith'."
"Would it be acceptable if we ask for a way to contact you. If we have any need for your expertise?" asked Charon.
Kris wasn't surprised about this as this was planned from the start.
He took out a black cellphone, and gave it to the man saying,"Just press one if you want to contact me, a machine will be there to take your call, and I will come personally to get your order." Charon simply nodded and kept the phone in a drawer underneath the counter.
When Kris was about to turn and met with Clear outside, Charon said,"It is a pleasure to have you here Mister Wu." then finished with a tiny bow of his head.
He then nodded back and walked off.
Kris met with the other two outside, and they took Kris's car driving towards Virginia Beach. To meet with the man, Zane Taylor.
