After Jake got his mom to go sleep, he went back onto his laptop to go find Job for this month.
Even though he would be living with his mom he still wanted to her help out a little, he had already planned to sell some fame crystals in the future for some quick cash.
Waking up in the morning Jake found himself still on the couch, ever since he had rebirthed the habit of waking up early and jogging. Standing up and going to the fridge, Jake looked at the somewhat empty kitchen.
While there was the food most of it was frozen foods or proceed with foods since his mom didn't have the time to make his sister a whole meal, so she insteadbought a bunch of frozen things.
Looking through the fridge and seeing some eggs Jake got the idea of making some eggs and pancakes, before his rebirth he had lived for almost 20 years making his own food for him and his little sister.
Hearing someone coming downstairs Jake turned around and saw his little sister Mia. She looked like she just woke up and was wearing a shirt that was too big to fit her.
Finally noticing that someone was downstairs Mai thought it was her mother.
"Mom, I don't feel like-," Finally noticing the person in front of her wasn't her mother Mia started screaming.
"AAAAHHH-" Jack quickly put a hand over her mouth to stop her from being too loud.
"Mia It's me, Jake," He said
She looked at him still clueless after all he had left when she was only two years old, so while she felt that he might be familiar she was still scared. Feeling scarred Mia started crying.
"MOMY I want MOm" She yelled out loud, with tears going down her eyes.
There was only one thing left the Jack had, taking out his phone and searching up a couple of kids songs he gave her the phone.
She immediately stopped crying, it was as if she was never crying in the first place. The one thing his sister could never resist both in his past life and his new life was her addiction to phones.
Jake even worried that one day someone would kidnap her using a phone instead of candy.
Crouching down and look at her he couldn't help but see that twinkle in her eye, in the future when his mom died she never had that twinkle again.
"Mai, it's me your brother Jake, do you remember me?" Jack said while holding her in his arms. He set her on the couch and just watched her for a bit.
After nearly one minute of silence, she finally looked up at him.
"I know mom told you where I woke up,"
"Then why'd you cry?," If she knew who he was why was she crying?
"I forgot," She said with a small blush appearing on her cheeks.
"Okay just sit there and let me make breakfast for you," Jack said while heading back to the kitchen.
He was planning on making his specialties, pancakes, and eggs, he had been making this for over 40 years if you count both lives.
Jake could feel Mia looking at him, she has been for the better part since he had been making the pancakes and eggs.
"Lia do you want to eat some eggs with me?" Jake asked as he saw her keep staring.
Nodding her head Mia came over to the table and sat on the chair, as she was too short Jake brought her a cushion to sit on.
Feeling the somewhat awkward air Jake started to make a conversion with Mia, as he served her a slice of eggs and pancakes.
"So Mai, do you remember he at all?" She was two when he left for colleges she should remember him a bit.
"I don't" That's all she had to say she wasn't even looking in his direction but at the phone in her hands instead.
Just as Jake was about to say something he heard his mom coming downstairs. She still looked exhausted and you could practically see how mentally tired she was.
"Mom good morning, I made breakfast," Jake said as he stood up and led his mother to a chair, and served her breakfast.
"Thank you, Jake, you have always been so caring," His mother said with a small smile spreading on her face.
Hearing that Jake couldn't help but have pangs of guilt, he knew that he wasn't as caring as she said he was. In his last life, he only came back because he couldn't find a place to live.
"Don't worry mom, I won't be going anywhere. I even got a job as a construction worker," Jake said with a smile.
"What about college did something happened?" His mother asked worriedly
"Don't worry I dropped out, I just felt that I really didn't fit the" Jake said with a sad smile. It was true he really didn't fit at college it just wasn't him.
"Don't worry I'm sure you'll find something your good at soon. You can just stay here as long as you want," His mother said with a smile, She looked even happier now.
With that breakfast over jake started to help out around the house for his mother.
Helping around the house and doing construction work a month quickly passed and it was time for the audition.
