Gu Min felt that something was wrong with Fu Zhi's brain. 

His father was not an idiot. All he was doing was teaching a liar a lesson. It was a heroic act, so how was there any possibility he would punish him because of a liar?

The more Gu Min thought about it, the more he felt that he was doing everyone a big favor. Then, he called Mu Chenxi. It took Mu Chenxi a short while before she finally picked up the call. He had no idea why, but she sounded dejected while talking and the alarm in his heart blared out. 

'Yo, yo, yo, yo. Is she crying? Please don't cry! You're not good-looking to begin with, and you will look even uglier if you cry!'

The silver lining was that Gu Min was not around Mu Chenxi right now. He did not have to see her crying face and he heaved a long sigh of relief. Then, he comforted her. "What happened, honey?"

No sooner had the question spilled out of his mouth than Mu Chenxi's video call came, and he was left speechless.
